Is there a movie where the main character tries so hard throughout his life to connect with people but nobody seems to care? Like every chance he gets he either fucks up or gets rejected? I want to see a movie like that.

I get this, because everyone he ever could truly relate to died in the war or of cancer caused by Agent Orange. At least he get's the Colonol back in his life and get's to have a bunch of crazy ass shit happen to him to distract him from the loneliness for a little bit. Such a great movie.

The Last American Virgin. I've never heard of this movie until Sup Forums mentioned it years ago. That ending was brutally realistic compared to all the saccharine 80's teen movies.

Still, I commend this movie for having the guts to show how real life isn't a fairy tale. A buddy of mine in college caught his gf fucking a mutual friend of ours and man, the shitstorm that ensued made things awkward amongst the other friends. We were both cool with the cucked bf and the cheating friend so hanging out to smoke, drink, or play Destiny couldn't happen like it did.
