What the?

Wasn't Brexit Boris attempt at becoming PM?

I feel like this is kind of cowardly...

WHY?

Literally why?

Has he given up the throne for Farage?

FARAGE IS IN, BABY

He realized the U.K. will go into recession, and being the PM while the country slips into recession is political suicide.

Expected. Only who wanted to commit political suicide would want to be the next PM.

The Tories can't afford a remainer as PM, that would only strengthen UKIP further and make them lose votes.

Gove it is

GBP jumps on the news Boris won't run for PM.

Aw, I was looking forward to a goofball PM. Farage is good to keep as an MEP imo.

Cool source nigger.

One question to the British people:

Are you guys ok with David Cameron retracts his statement and serve his full term as PM, so that he can solve this mess and take the fall (i.e. commit political suicide) instead of another person?

>Farage is good to keep as an MEP imo.

Being this retarded.

Boris's plan was for the leave side to lose by a narrow margin. With this, he could say that half the country views were being ignored.

He could then gain support of the Conservative party with the Eurosceptic MPs and put pressure on David Cameron to achieve something before he goes (David Cameron said before the vote that he would not be leader after it).

This has failed as Leave actually managed to win. All the Leave politicians were supporting Leave but were expecting it to lose which would gain them more legitimacy. However, Leave won so whoever activates Article 50 commits political and Union suicide and put the UK into another recession.

Basically, Boris (and some other Leavers) lost by 'winning' and all this EU referendum was a political power grab campaign by Boris and other Leavers.

I would prefer not: there would be questions about whether his heart was in it.

I would love to see Peter Mandellson as Labour deputy do this work. He is such an unutterable cunt that literally no-one could best him. Frank Field for PM.

I am a Tory

why would he do that? the leave side fucked him over, and he fucked with them right back. they all pushed hard because cameron had said that he'd pull out of the eu immediately after the referendum if 'leave' won, instead he basically said 'you did this, you take the fall'.

Based Gove, destroying Boris

GOVE for PM

Yes, but he was never really a true Euro-sceptic and he fucked himself in the anus with his Daily Telegraph article.

Plus, his mate Gove has stabbed him in the back.

More importantly, once shit hits the fan, and the next Prime Minister's approval rating plummets, everyone in the party will beg for Boris to come to the rescue ;^)
He's playing the long game.

Holy shit, you niggers really are getting Theresa May. Enjoy China level of censorship and North Korea level of thought-policing.

no one will be willing to trigger article 50

brexit is cancelled

>I don't understand how sources work

Boris didn't expect Brexit to win.

He didn't plan on Brexit winning.

anybody want to shop this with Boris and Govey?

That dry British wit from the BBC journo there, the EU will miss it.

Also this, hahahaha!

>Leave literally outed as using useful idiots for political gamble that went too far

Ayy

Watta, phoney baloney show-pony!

kek, I like boris but how anyone could think he's a sensible choice for negotiating brexit is beyond me

...

That's why Farage led his separate leave campaign. There were genuine leavers in the tory campaigns though, but that poster is right and it was highjacked by some opportunists.

Not that I care though as we got the vote in the process. Westminster BTFO

Gove has best chance to win, Boris will be Chancellor.

rofl

>Boris will be Chancellor
plsno

just give him a cushy job like speaker of the commons or something easy/memetic in the cabinet.

I honestly thought Boris was just jumping on the Leave bandwagon to take out Dave and get some support to grab the leadership.

Very interesting.

So now...Farage?

Of course, not as P.M.

As Lord Protector.

THE PROPHECY IS COMING TRUE

>We were only pretending to be retarded!
So Brexit is a situation that everyone except Nigel (and maybe Corbyn) loses? Godamn UK is stupid

I would say this is the perfect opportunity to make yourself an immortal by making England Great Again and steering it through these rough waters.

But of course they voted out Churchill right after the war anyway. So I guess it's great for the history books, but kind of shit career wise.

Kilroy

youtube.com/v/3Q8HpCsOTGE

nah mate, but some campaigners did do it for political gains as always. The current stalemate in case of victory for leave was expected since both tory and labour parties were campaigning for remain.

Cameron is a fucking abysmal leader. He was Blair 2.0

While Merkel might be the ultimate culprit, he had a great big hand in fucking up the continent and his country enough to make this situation a reality.

The fact that he was so utterly pathetic and spineless in this trying time just demonstrates he simply can't do the job.

>He gave way to Farage

what a hero

I guess this is it, really.

His immediate response was - We'll leave and carry on doing exactly the same as we were doing when we were in.

Leave didn't vote for Boris.

They voted to fuck the upper classes and the continent.

This is how Europe and Britain works.

Be thankful it was just a fucking vote and a recession, and not The Terror all over again.

I have no idea how this is going to play out in places like France when the time comes.

Brits got trolled so hard it gets more and more hilarious every day.

10 Boris Bottles Sitting On A Wall

Corbyn will lose because his party is absolutely fucking retarded beyond belief. They really are a Sup Forums "liberals" meme come to life.

There has never been a more perfect time for Labor to bolster themselves than now, and a strong lefty fucking unionist couldn't be more perfect.

The Blairites are everything their former base and the Leavers voted against. Fucking Trotsky could step off the train in some of these towns and provided he toss the poles and pakis in alongside DA BANKERS, he could win the popular vote.

> dat flag

The name of your country literally sounds like a weird pudding. Or a sexually transmitted disease.

0/10

>bring back hanging
Good. There's never been a greater need to show criminal scum what awaits them.

I think it's Europe that got trolled to be honest.

I mean, this whole situation was inevitable. The Brits have just been the selfish ones who not only started the dominoes falling, but made sure to sneak off with the life raft before anyone else got on board.

Leave UKIP to me

He was only part of Brexit for power.
But Cameroon fucked the whole brexit side because he's putting responsibility of the article 50 on the brexit side.

Cameroon won them

Farage doesn't have a very strong local support so with first past the post he will never do as well as he polls

He was outwardly serious, but he secretly hoped it failed.

Aka he is a phony.

tfw I put 20 euros on leave winning when I read that London area had heavy rainfall during the brexit vote.

Literally the easiest money I've ever earned.

so are the markets realy that stupid that they speculate on britain not calling article 50 and leaving...

i hope that jump was just unrelated thus the other explanition would mean the markets still don't understand the brexit will happen.... and that it is a good thing for britain and the EU in the long term.

You're a meme in these threads now, just stop

Stop lying, Aquafresh

they realised article 50 will not be invoked til new tory leadership is elected so that has cut down on speculation massively for the moment.

I don't see the true Leave politicians benefit from the current climate though

I do hope he pulls through. He seemed more earnest and electable than ever. Blairites are being extreme dicks

JUST

Oh fuck. Anyone but May please fucking hell

Boris doesn't support Brexit. It was just a powerplay to get into Downing Street. Boris' plan was to stay in the EU by claiming that he'd got a better deal from Juncker and Merkel and therefore there was no need to leave.

He met Gove yesterday and Gove demanded assurances that Boris would actually commit to Brexit. Boris tried to outsmart Gove by talking about how much he wanted Brexit while refusing to commit to leaving. Gove walked out of the meeting and declared his own candidacy.

At this point, Boris probably won't win because the Eurosceptic vote is split while all the Europhiles are supporting May. Boris quit rather than risk losing the leadership contest. He figures he can always stand again in a few years, once May crashes the party into the ground.

>Wasn't Brexit Boris attempt at becoming PM?

He wanted Cameron to do all the difficult shit and have all the turmoil attached to him, then Boris would sweep in and become PM afterwards.

Cameron cucked him by just resigning

How will you cope now you don't have our money to prop up your failed state?

>markets are one person

>I don't see the true Leave politicians benefit from the current climate though
until the new tory leadership is elected, it will be hard to tell

abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/latest-australian-leader-urges-britain-stay-eu-40065063

London was very pro remain and all the new polls either had the referendum very close or even leave winning.
Young people are also very pro remain and rainfull hurts their generally low turnout even more.

I bet all the time, the odds for leave winning were 5/1 and I thought it should have been much closer.
So it was a good deal and I got money out of it

Nigel wasnt allowed to join the tory one

>Anyone but May please fucking hell
Her speech was pretty good desu. Sure she will be watching me wank to weird shit but she fully intends to respect the brexit decision and fully divorce from the e.u and seems willing to lower immigration.

> admits reading comprehension isn't is strong suit
> needs explanations for comonly used expressions
> is a fucking retard

they said they wouldnt share platform with him, but iirc i dont think farage was particularly interested to do so either

>country flooded with rapefugees
>decides to greenshitpost on a galactic underwater yak shaving symposium instead of doing something with the downfall of the White race he's indirectly responsible for

Mic drop... Out

fucking beautiful

When the EU spends money to build EU shit in Brussels, I assume this counts as 'spending' it on Belgium right?

I know we're a shit country but this number is biased as fuck.

Sometimes the human mind is beautiful.

Its also accurate, you ingrate bastard

I honestly don't see how it helps Belgium with anything besides creating even more non-productive government jobs if the EU spends money to plan EU buildings in Brussels.

The money spent on the UK isn't 80% used for planting down buildings and paying catering services for EU pariliament members.

>yfw this guy won't be running for pm because he can't hear
