What is the worst movie Sup Forums memed you into watching?
What is the worst movie Sup Forums memed you into watching?
Birdman is objectivelly a good movie by any relevant cannon
If that's the worst movie you've seen you need to watch more films, in the maintime stay on reddit
The Town
Blue is the Warmest Color
Possession by Andrzej Zulawski
One of the most reddit "deep" pandering pieces of shit I've seen since Jacob's Ladder
>Birdman is objectivelly a good movie by any relevant cannon
its really not
John Wick. The whole movie was just so childish. I'm as immature as they come but it really felt like it was written, directed and produced by 16 year olds.
Even the action sequences that everyone hyped up so much were disappointing. They felt too choreographed and had no weight or tension, like something out of a video game or a music video.
Birdman
Arrival
La La Land
Argo
Green Room
10 Cloverfield lane
Anything dishonest like this shitm
The Love Witch.
Jesus christ, Sup Forums , how can you even suggest such a massive piece of total shit.
It was even worse than that time when you suggested The Guest.
Could you back your theory with some facts?
is it worth watching if your horny for pusy?
You're either a pleb or an autist. Pick one.
>these films
it's like you guys never learned how to bait
it was try hard oscar bait and wasnt entertaining. when it was over I felt cheated
>Haha, why are you people not being disingenuous????
Why are you thinking about it in terms of oscar bait and not thinking about the ideas it brings to the table? The important stuff?
Someone with better taste than you captain redithorror flickman
I repeat, could you back your theory with some facts?
You saying it's Oscarbait just because of the topic of the film, but it isn't even the case. The movie isn't about the Hollywood industry but the theatre industry
>literal fedora post
>go back to redddit boogieman
That movie was actually great, I've watched it several times. Along with Angst one of my favorite oldies.
The UUitch
Probably this. A complete waste of time.
Strong arguments there my friend, your sure told me!!
>everyone hyped up
Your own fault, really.
On that note, knock knock is the worst movie I've watched because of this board. I loved it though. Otherwise I can tell if a movie isn't watchable within ten minutes.
It takes a weak-willed person to be "memed" into watching something they don't enjoy.
It's a movie and it's not good, that's the only evidence you need. If you think it's good that's fine, I enjoy plenty of B movies myself.
>The movie isn't about the Hollywood industry but the theatre industry
That is true, but not the only thing it is about. It is about why we create art, the role of art in today's society, the role of the critic, the separation of ideals from this generation and the older, and the unexpected virtue of ignorance's ability to create wonderful pieces of art.
Man you're boring.
Well then again, if "not good" is the worst movie you've seen then you must be a very special unique person.
>It is about why we create art, the role of art in today's society, the role of the critic, the separation of ideals from this generation and the older, and the unexpected virtue of ignorance's ability to create wonderful pieces of art.
And that's Oscar-bait? lmfao
I'm still waiting for the first reason to call Birdman a bad movie
>That movie was actually great, I've watched it several times. Along with Angst one of my favorite oldies.
Terrible, just terrible. The only thing impressive about Angst was the camera work.
t. for the (You)s faggots, stay pleb
>And that's Oscar-bait? lmfao
I didn't say that. C'mon man.
Deuces, baby.
I can't tell if this is bait so I'm just gonna take a nibble... you can't be this dumb
Anything with Emma Stone. The poor girl can't act and she has ayy lmao eyes.
>LITTERALY every film ITT is good, some even kino
Really makes you think
cheap bait.
>using kino as an adjective
you are even worse than these retards
Watch more films and less movies. Every single flick named in this thread has been below a 3/5
>someone doesn't like muh "classic"
>it must be bait and he must be dumb
2/10
Stick to capeshit.
Her
Frank
The VVitch
Lake Mungo
Some fucking asswagon here once told me Hostel Part II was good
It's not.
it's one thing to say you don't like it, but to call it an objectively bad movie and "waste of time" is simply.. wait for it.. dumb
Hard to pick the worst... but The Nice Guys is probably the most recent one, awful adolescent movie in almost all aspects.
Actually now that i think of it Cloud Atlas is probably the vilest piece of garbage ive finished thanks to Sup Forums circlejerk in some "good scifi movies" -thread.
This by far. There is nothing interesting about it whatsoever. He quits his job right near the beginning so that 'tension' is over, and the random old whore he had a one night stand with is about to have a baby. WOW SO TENSE, SO EXCITING.
What a piece of shit you meme loving fucks. Hardy's accent was shit as well.
People, don't be like this faggot Watch everything and expand your tastes.
>some [films are] even kino
It's you who can't understand sentence structure.
Bladerunner
Besides it's aesthetics, it's a horrible movie
Never watched this. The Drop, on the other hand, was pure fuckin kino
You are using it as an adjective...
Like kino being some type of movies
>The Nice Guys
whoa are you me? was literally going to post this. it seemed like every other film that comes out and is forgotten about 3 months later. the only parts I found funny were in the trailers tbqh.
Neon Demon
>tfw you fell for the BvS is good meme
that movie is hot fucking garbage
It wasn´t for me, sorry. I liked Joaquin Phoenix performance, tough.
Just looked that up and it actually sounds good. Downloading it now f.am. Do not watch locke whatever you do ffs.
>Like kino being some type of movies
This, right here. You are fucking using it as a noun. Which is how I used it. Are you ESL or just retarded?
Even if I did use it as an adjective, it's a fucking meaningless Sup Forums meme that literally is just the German word for movie theatre. Once you take the whole flick-movie-film thing and treat it seriously, people who realize you aren't being ironic will just think you're a moron. Way to completely miss the point of my original post as well.
>cannon
So if I spent 90 minutes watching a movie I don't like at all, it's dumb to say it's a waste of time? Sure.
Definitely Drive
Because it is a noun, you dumbass
Kino literally means "movie" in half the European languages. It means "movement" or "something that moves"
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
It's worth watching. The sex scenes are distasteful, but they make for decent intermissions.
that's a great fucking movie though, try pic related instead. I knew I got meme'd 10 minutes in.
This. I only watch films that look like they appeal to me for whatever reason and even then it's a risk, If you have any taste whatsoever that is.
>objectivelly a good movie
What does this even mean?
fuck that user that said matt damon shit his pants in it
I was holding out hope for 2 hours during this awful movie to see matt damon shit himself and it turns out user was only metaphorically speaking when he said "shitting himself" when matt damon was just freaking out
eyes wide shut
taxi driver
>not appreciating Suspiria
take a hard look in the mirror pal
Inherent Vice
Birdman at least had some very good scenes and dialogue. IV was just incoherent self-indulgent garbage from start to finish
pretty much everything on here after the 80s and the obvious entry level stuff you usually see when starting your movie career
>I'm supposed to believe this is the worst movie you have watched
How the fuck do you dislike Suspiria?
>by any relevant cannon
is dis da phresh nu meem
It has great visuals and I liked the soundtrack, but honestly there's just so many things that I can forgive in a film and I thought this was boring as fuck
tucker and dale vs evil
People in the thread said it was genuinely good, but I couldn't sit through ten minutes of it.
They key to this thread is:
>Sup Forums memed you into watching
>It has great visuals and I liked the soundtrack
this is exactly what its all about
yeah, and I appreciate that but the writing and the acting are so terrible. I did enjoy Tenebre a lot though
There Will be Blood.
I went into it hearing it was revolutionary and visionary filmmaking, cinema at it's finest, and one of the best films of the 21st century thus far.
It was a rather mediocre cautionary tale of greed set in the West. Admittedly, the symbolism and religious subtext was fairly interesting, and Daniel Day-Lewis was as fantastic as usual (as was Paul Dano), but the overall film, while it had it's charm and it's great scenes (the scene when the exploratory well explodes stands out) was overall choppy and surprisingly amateurish, given it's pedigree and plaudits.
>Sup Forums tricked you into watching critically acclaimed and highly rated movies
I understand if you say you got tricked into watching Drive, but not fucking Persona
This fedora core shit
Sup Forums didn't meme me into watching it, but some people IRL (and the fact more than one Blockbuster employees listed it as their all time favourite on those lists they used to make). What a streaming pile of garbage. Might be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Also, that movie where Christopher Walken plays some kind of angel who touches peoples foreheads and kills them (or puts them to sleep, who the fuck knows)
9/10 bait, i had to actually ponder your rationalizations for a moment before concluding it was a satire.
+1 bingcoin
Outside of the visuals it's completely vapid. It's style over substance.
hivemind
>film, a visual medium, must function outside of visual parameters in order to be good
well meme'd, friend!
I didn't watch it because of Sup Forums but I was unimpressed as well. It didn't feel like they did anything to make it fit as a film other than cut things out. Most of it is just straightforward adaptation but, presumably, for those that haven't read the book, more confusing since you aren't told as much.
I wasn't going to watch it because it looked like hipster shit, but after seeing several people have it in their favorites in the Letterboxd threads, I decided to give it a chance. It was hipster shit. Wow, a woman talking for 90 minutes. So fucking deep! Best movie ever!
Le Ravageur (1995)
I mean, I knew it was going to be shit. And I loved it. But it was still terible
>this is what dumb people actually believe
>I knew it was going to be shit. And I loved it.
what is this epic new meme
ty senpai, I try
More like cup of pretentious shit amirite?
Foot fags memed it up.
>
>>film, a visual medium, must function outside of visual parameters in order to be good
>this is wrong
All memes aside, Sup Forums actually tricked me into watching Problem Child 2.
These tbqh
DELET THIS
Totaly agree it was utter shit.
Neon Demon
Her
At least one that I expected to be good.
Such a pile of shit.
