It's proof that any team can win in the NHL.

NOT SO FAST APEHOOP POOPS

Is this the first time you have seen expansion team in any sport?

They put a bunch of ringers on the team, get locals excited and invested. In a year or two the team sucks and then they get to try and build a team the old fashioned way.

Is this team proof that football is just a totally random sport?

AYO HOL UP

Soccer and American football should be switched. If you look at a single soccer game, its much easier for a bad team to get a lucky goal and park the bus than a bad team to consistently outplay a better team in American football. However, soccer has a longer season so more skillful teams still come out on top, while in handegg, with 20 games, one lucky game out of those 20 makes more difference than 5 lucky ones in a 60 match soccer season

It's proof the NHL has made every single team too close in terms of talent.
An 8th seed upsetting a 1st seed is hardly an upset nowadays.
It's an NHL issue, not a hockey issue.

Yes

that's the video, I think it describes it quite nicely

Disgustingly trash company.

Would you rather have a two superteams league like the current state of the NBA?

Why would the team go from ringers to sucky in one year. Youre an idiot

>chess

Sports are scripted, knights are on a roll because paddock, ever since 01 a team in a city at least goes deep if not win it all. It's disgusting.

Thats why they’re expanding dingus. The talent pool is growing

>a team in a city
So all of them?

it's the hard cap, NFL and NHL are dominated by teams with smart cash management.

the Vegas GM Mcphee did a really good job of putting together an above average team with limited talent.
he also led a pretty great rebuild of the Capitals in the mid-00s that unfortunately didnt end up with a cup but still some really good years

whos this semon demon

m8 the fucking Magic are top of the East right now in the NBA
nobody expected them to EVER be in 1st I don't care if its only 5 games into the season

>more teams = larger talent pool
not how that works

No, but I'd rather have say 4-6 really good teams and a few horrific teams

Regular season doesn't matter in the NBA. Lebron proved that last year.

if hockey was a random sport different teams would actually win the damn stanley cup. The blackhawks, kings, and penguins have combined for 8 stanley cups in 9 seasons. Hockey has parity, but the great teams trample out the average ones who play above their abilities.

>le hockey is all luck meme

The ironic thing is hockey players are the most skilled athletes out of any of the major sports. You will not find a single example of an NHL player who was on skates later than 4, most as soon as they can walk, but there are examples of pro players in other sports who walked on their respective teams in high school

>hockey is totally random
>3 champs in the last 9 years
Uhm

Yes. Most goals are scored from random deflections and rebounds, it's totally unpredictable who will win, every team has the same chance to win, and that's why we love hockey. Unlike skill-based sports (like basketball and soccer football) where the best team often wins.

>ringers
>on a pro team

No, The NHL has a large talent pool that they were very freely allowed to pick from. They might not have all the superstars but they were given depth out the asshole. Additionally there is no tape or experience playing against this squad at all. Expect them to come back down to earth but still be gud.
how is this bad? its not like the playoffs dont sort it out.

you are an idiot. They have goalies you know, deflections are mostly intentional, firing pucks at the net is a legitimate strategy and take shots away from a team is an important aspect of the game.

>every team has the same chance to win, and that's why we love hockey

Ok, Pier.
