It's the relevant Census figure, though. The "white" category by itself is around 77%, but includes self-defined "hispanics." That's not accurate in any sort of real-life context, so, the filtering has to be done somehow.

The interesting thing is that people of "Two or More Races" declined as a percentage of the population. I guess mixed couples don't have as high of a fertility rate as expected, or else mixed kids are choosing to identify as one race.
