2 was Refns greatest film hands down
3>1>2
>tfw refn will never make a film with the humanity of his early work combined with the autistic aesthetics of his later
I know, right?
Wasted potential: the director.
3 > 2 > 1 but I was a Milo fan from the start. Frank was trash. Tony was cool. The ending of 2 made me so happy.
correct
1 and 3 are almost tied for me though
Indeed.
>tfw no new Mads and refn kino
And goose thrown in also
Pusher will always be the best one for me personally. Kim Bodnia was fucking amazing in that role.
This
1 is in no way any better than 3 but i don't care enough to write my reasoning
I'll write it for you. Frank is trash. I don't have a problem with unlikable main characters but literally everyone else in the movie is more likable than he is and he just completely shits on everybody. I was so disgusted by the scene where he asks his mom to bail him out. This doesn't make Pusher a bad movie, but 3 and 2 were helmed by far superior main characters: Tony and Milo were people I could rally behind and understand on a human level. Not Frank, that piece of shit.
Yeah man
The only reason I am excited about the tv series he is writing is because I hope it will be like that.
1 is the rawest movie on the planet!
1>2>3
I thought part 1 it being so realistic about some mid level drug dealer was what made it the best! That hes a scumbag is what makes it legendary! Part 2 is total scumbag low level drug dealer which is legit. Only thing that was unrealistic was part 3 the old man big time drug dealer doesn't have a body guard any more. In the gang or drug dealing life you gotta have backup or anyone can rob you or kill you.
>part 3 the old man big time drug dealer doesn't have a body guard any more.
I thought he had some guys around him pretty consistently, like those dudes in the restaurant who complain about how shitty his food was.
Yeah but no body guard like back in the day. His own people turned on him. It seemed more to me like they were more business associates and not directly like your the man and we have to protect you. More like a wannabe mafia where hes playing kingpin where anyone could overthrow him.
tl;dr yeah but they didn't seem as loyal
But then again every time I watch these movies Im smashed!!! Ever since I first started the tradition of being fucking GONE when viewing.
yes desu
