Three way tie between her, Arya, and Sansa
Trash show no one I know who watches this shit is even excited for it anymore. Just waiting for it to finally be over so I can move on with my life in a post GoT world.
This
Sansa, Arya, Davos (show) or Dany
Sophie Turner or Emelia Clarke
Cersei is literally the only good female character left in the show.
Arya was pretty good in season 1, especially for a child actor, after that she's been just awful. Emilia has been terrible from the get go, same with the Sand Sneks. Sansa is also awful.
Sibel is in a completly different tier of her own though, fucking hell she's awful. Can barely read a fucking line naturally.
Who're the godtier though? Varys, Charles dance, Mark Addy, Stannis and Sean Bean?
The Sand Snakes are so bad they intentionally make fun of them in Season 6, they are awful actresses and offer nothing but cringeworthy edge to Season 5.
The worst actress is Emilia Clarke, she has not improved as an actress since season 1 and has in fact gotten worse. Watch her try to act imposing and authoritative in Season 6.
Hands down the best actor was Charles Dance, he *was* Tywin. Best actress is either Ygritte or the chick that plays Melisandre. Honorable mention goes to Catelyn and Joffrey.
Worst male actor is Peter Dinklage, which is a travesty because he was actually really good in Seasons 1-4. Once the show strayed from the books his character suffered the most.
>Who is the worst character on GoT?
Taken out of context? It has to be either Arya or Daenerys, or even the Sand Snakes.
Compared to the books? Jaime by a long shot. Davos and Stannis too.
>Who is the worst actor on GoT?
Emilia Clarke
>dem arya "fighting" scenes
lmao
Dance, Bean, Gleeson and Dillane were all great.
Von Sydow is a fantastic actor but, was only used in like 3 scenes.
The show went to shit once Joffrey and Tywin died. The Stannis parts were in my opinion the only good parts in S5 mostly because Dillane did a great job (besides Hardhome) but, not enough to carry the season on it's back
Also Harrington is pretty shit.
The Sand Snakes were awful in the show and the books, at a time when Martin proved he could write dynamic personalities they were literally cardboard cutouts of tired archetypes, like "I'm the pretty one! I'm the friendly poisoner!"
Jaime got butchered the most though, I agree with you there. He went from the dutiful Lord Commander trying to make up for a lifetime of pride, to fucking his sister in the White Room.
/thread
worst character is sam
worst actor is peter dinklage
Good thing they only exist in the books to get btfo and locked away never to be heard from again
>The Waif going full murder-demon on Arya for no reason at all
Manufactured antagonist in a segment that was supposed to have Arya becoming an actual assassin.
Of the remaining characters, Davos has been ruined the most. He is acted well though.
Sophie Turner is by far the worst actress on the show.
I'd expand this to say the Hound was a fantastic actor too, he nailed the role.
>Worst character
Probably Arya, she has an entire storyline dedicated to only her and it's boring as fuck.
>Worst actor
There are plenty of bad actors, and Emilia is definitely not the worst of the bunch, people here are just Daenerys haters. The worst actors have to be the guy who plays Sam and the guy who played Renly. Its easy to shit on Sansa, Arya or the Sand Snakes but let's be honest they are given bad material to begin with.
>worst actor

>worst character
sand sneks
Worst character on GoT is a tie between Dany and Brienne; Brienne has been ruined from the books.
They're all decent actors except for Emilia and the sneks.
>Who're the godtier though?
add heady and fairly to the list. Ok, god tier is maybe debatable but they are pretty good
The Pup and Hound arc with Arya and Sandor was godly.
D&D have NO IDEA what made the story good in the first place. They just saw that people liked Tyrion and decided that it was because he was funny. So they ditched his entire character and made him a dwarf memer
Worst character is Samwell Tarly because self insert, worst actor is Jon Snow's actor.
same, so sick of hearing of this shit every fucking year, glad i never started it
and i hope it finishes with a shit ending to piss off the still here fans :^)
I don't even remember those, the sneks were so much worse.
the show was carried in the first season by King Robert, Sean Bean, Jaime Lannister and Viserys
Also meme midget wasn't too bad either, however when these characters start to die and the show starts to appeal more to normies, it gets fucking boring
Also I gotta agree here, Brienne is the most boring mary sue fuck character ever only followed by Arya fucking stark
Nah, Kit has improved and is now good.
Emilia, on the other hand, could only play abused season 1 Dany. That's why in season 5, when she's wandering, she gets some momentum.
This. The show lost all the characters that were worth watching after seasons 4-5. The book could tolerate this because GRRM knows how to make a good story but D&D have been shitting their pants for a while now because they're awful
Brienne wasn't even all that good in the books either, her chapters are mainly world building and making her slightly less naive
It's a nice change of pace to follow a genuinely good person in the books that isn't named Jon Snow, and go through her crises of faith. Plus, they're comfy as fuck.
But then the show just turns her into the reverse of her book counterpart - inhumanly good at fighting, badass, a bull dyke.
the waif was a bad character but it just seemed like it was one of those brutal "only one can survive the training" situations. and the way she beats her using her blind shit was kind of good.
however it did not explain adequately why she is now straight NOTHING PERSONNEL KID tier and able to do the absurd feat of killing and cooking important people inside a fortress
olenna tyrell is a good actor
as is gilly
probably a few others
Actually I think Joffrey might have carried a lot of the show because he was a fantastic antagonist and got the show a lot of press with his character
because fanservice. Also they had to kill characters that die in parts of the book they decided to cut so they slap another character in for a shitty conclusion to a nonexistant arc
yeah, a montage with hearts on fire playing in the background would have genuinely been better
>olenna tyrell is a good actor
she might be a good actor but when your character boils down to a single gimmick it becomes bothersome very fast (some reason why tyrion is now absolute shit tier - his gimmick got old).
>My whole family is dead lol - imma just gonna go and be my usual cheerful snarky self, le so stronk and independant
was that rebel group that knew magic and could resurrect people ever paid off in the story?
what about the kings illegal son who was lead off in a little boat, or did he meet the god of water or whatever the fuck that hack GRMM calls it
I agree that he has improved, but I wouldn't call him "good".
I read the books a while ago, but only watched the first 2 or so seasons of the show.
How much did they really change, like specifically?
what the fuck is Gurm even planning with Patchface? Even Melisandre is afraid of what he might do because of her visions.
They're ahead of the books now so they're going to change pretty much everything
it wouldn't surprise me if Sansa ends up with the iron throne with Brienne and Arya being Kingswatch
and Jon and Dany get married and Jon gets his own dragon and they rule over the middle east together
You know what really brought that home to me? Season 6, when Tyrion goes down to the vault to unshackle the dragons. While he does it, he tells the dragons a story about when he was a boy and wanted a dragon for himself - a little one, like him.
The story was sweet and the dialogue was actually impactful... And it was lifted word for word from the book.
That's what made me realize D&D don't have a clue how to write, and have spent the last 5 seasons riding on the writing of Martin.
The brotherhood without banners is at a completely different place in the book, cutting out Lady Stoneheart completely derailed them and also fucked up Briennes story
Also book Gendry has joined them and was never held by Stannis, it was one of Roberts other bastards he had
He's the Drowned God nigga, the Great Other himself
Biggest change in the early seasons is swapping Robb's marriage because he took the virginity of a noblewoman and wanted to do right by her into a marriage of love with a badass female field medic making him retarded in the process.
Brienne was a complicated character in the books, a man-woman that desperately yearned for affection yet has built a heavy shell of cynicism and plagiarized manly honor to shield her from it. In the books, she's a good fighter but not an exceptional one.
In the show she's a better swordswoman than Jaime or the Hound, kills Stannis for reasons she blathers on about every time she's on screen, and does nothing but act like a symbol of Woman Power.
Ooh, here's a good question: which character from the books was IMPROVED in the show? My vote goes for Tormund Giantsbane, who actually got depth to the character beyond how huge his cock is.
I could actually live with that.
GENDRY IS STILL OUT THERE
PADDLING FOR YEARS
FOOKIN LEGEND
shea da funne hor
Jon is going to ride Rhaegal because Rhaegar.
I found book cersei to be unrealistic and I did not understand her character
seeing her on screen really helped me understand her character a bit more
That weird guy who burned his daughter. I literally don't even know what the point of his character was. He was just some creepy angry christian
lena headey is so one note as cersei in the show. 99% of her acting is holding a glass of wine and having a bitch scowl, she's a bit more complicated in the books
The medic was retarded but it kinda sorta made sense in a "we need to change things for American audiences" sort of thing.
Virginity is not valued in the US, so Robb popping someone isn't a big deal, it's also why they changed the Sparrow arc to be about Loras's homosexuality and not Margery's maidenhead.
Also, another expression of this change for modern audiences is the severe downsizing of all the houses - the book Tyrells have two straight sons, but they were removed because they cut into the Dragons budget while Emilia makes a smug face.
he knew doomsday was coming and was prepared to sacrifice anything to save the world
unfortunately he was lied to by his chosen prophet
Yea but I don't think I understood her beauty and how important it was to her as a character
seeing how she's meant to be a gorgeous blond helps me realize her megalomania and overall madness
I love how in the books Cersei literally uses her aging beauty and sexual promiscuity to hold onto power, just like Tyrion predicted.
In the show she's a Machiavellian mastermind even when everyone hammers home she's not actually *that* smart.
yeah the show completely missed that vulnerable aspect of Brienne's character and instead made her weirdly bloodthirsty. I also hate that we'll never see her fight Rorge and Biter in the rain, that was one of the best parts of AFFC
What? I never got that vibe at all, I just got the sense that he was a slave to his lust for the red witch who was just using him to get power
The show gets a lot of things wrong with the character appearances, Catelyn is supposed to be 10 years younger and Cersei's supposed to have much bigger tits.
EPIC MEMES LEL
SO FUNNY BRO
>In the show she's a Machiavellian mastermind even when everyone hammers home she's not actually *that* smart.
i really fucking hate how they did this in the show. she's just a batshit loon in the books, she burns down the tower of the hand for no real reason, in the show she schemes her way into killing all the important characters in kings landing
i'm honestly completely sick of her character in the show, she's fucking boring.
I hope the White Walkers win, I hope there'll be eternal winter and everyone will fucking die.
The worst character is Cersei.
The worst actress is Emilia Clarke.
recommend me some tripe normie fantasy books
I like Eragon series, Harry potter, Game of Thrones, Black company and others like Deltora quest.
yea I read fantasy like a 12 year old boy fuck off I get it
nah not at all, the red witch genuinely 100% believes all the shit she spouts and does not actually want personal power
stannis was a heavy skeptic at first but after witnessing her magic first hand he converted and started believing her
essentially she was wrong and jon snow is who she thought stannis was
They're all supposed to be younger, Eddard is 35 at the start of game of thrones and Cat is younger than that
Any fantasy series but Middlearth books are tripe, so just go into your nearest bookstore and buy anything from fantasy section. Might wanna try Witcher
that's the one thing i like in the show, they aged up the characters to make it a bit more acceptable. aryas like fucking 8 in the books and in the second book she gets involved in a battle and starts stabbing soldiers with needle while yelling winterfell. then she gets to braavos and randomly kills someone from the night watch
it's just kind of ridiculous
>Asha renamed to Yara because D&D thinks their audiences are too dumb to tell the difference between Asha and Osha
>Oh and she's kinda ugly now, nevermind she was a classic cute tomboy in the books
>Oh, and she took over the role of my main man Vicky T
>Oh, and she's a lesbian now
>And she can't stop talking about how revolutionary it will be for a woman to sit the throne
>Oh, what's that? No more reaving, raiding and raping? The only thing that's keeping the Iron Islands afloat? Yeah those can go.
>Daenerys gets mounted and rough-pumped by Drogo barely a month after her first period at like, 13.
best actor was Ian Mcshane but they elected to use him for about 15 minutes, aside from that I guess Charles Dance
Not like 13, she was 13 and is 16 as of a dance with dragons iirc
...
It's funny that you call Harry Potter a "tripe normie fantasy book," because Harry Potter is one of the dullest franchises in the history of movie franchises. Each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the books were good though r-right
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.
>showfags
what have I DONEEEEEEE
>Heavily implied her bedslave sex-teacher taught her anal
were the ironborn still reaving and raping around the seven kingdoms after they lost the rebellion?
seems kind of stupid.... why do the kingdoms even put up with that shit? you'd kind of expect them to get sick of their shit and just kill them all off
Good job in killing off Caesar.
Can't have it like the books you know, where she gives no fucks about The on, enjoys the idea that her crew wants to fuck her but can't, likes it when her first mate fucks her rough, and gets captured by Stannis after getting btfo at the Kingsmoot
...
>she thinks she's a Machiavellian mastermind
Had that fixed for you.
She's insanely paranoid, and works by the belief that everything she intends and schemes about will transpire as she imagined it. So half of the time she'll be doing things where she knows there's insane risks in them, but brushes that aside because "nah, everything will be just fine :), just fine :)!", and she's basically all of allies that way.
>duuuuuuuuude I can control the high sparrow, I got this
Also about her using her charms, it doesn't have the influence she nearly hopes that it would have. Hell she fucked it with Jaime by sleeping with the Kettlebacks for their "muh loyalty", and yet they're still Littlefinger agents.
you guys are fucking pathetic
if dany had a cock like aegon the asspull you guys would be chugging it all the way to the bitter end
SAD
>Hell she fucked it with Jaime by sleeping with the Kettlebacks for their "muh loyalty", and yet they're still Littlefinger agents.
it's all good, she still has moonboy
There's at least one reference each for Drogo and Daario "taking her every way a woman can be taken."
Oh you wrote "in the show"...
Hmm, might be that I'm a retard.
the whole deal with stannis is he does all he does in the name of justice and righteousness (even if it is weir backwards medieval righteousness) he thinks he is the rightful heir (and he is by law) so he contests the throne. But then you have the whole "winning the people to win the throne" and he goes north because the apocalypse is coming, and he was the only king to answer the night's watch
Hmmm, for all I know, ain't that right user?
i dont get that vibe at all. about everything she doe sin the show ends up blowing in her face or achieves by dumb luck. She tries to get Margaery in prison but gets thrown in herself for example
>Sansa is given a big uncomfortable "empowering" moment where she coldly threatens Petyr with death while insisting he say plainly what Ramsay did to her, how much it hurt and how she will never trust him again
>Scene shift to Volantis, where Yara tells Theon he can either "man up" or "kill himself" after years of suffering under Ramsay's flaying knife and castration, and if he needs a reason to live than he should "live for revenge."
They weren't, that's part of why the iron islands were such a poor shit hole and how Balon convinced them to start up again, he promised his people wealth and shit if they started raiding again and that's how Victarion almost and how Euron did take power after he died, he showed up with a boat full of riches around the world so people decided to support him
>Compared to the books?
How about Baelish? In Got he is just a parody of a book version. How could you make a friendly-looking guy who you would never suspect in doing any bad things to a shady looking smug fucker.
Go read Dragonlance. Shit is like Lord of the Rings, but entertaining and without half the books being dedicated to clothing descriptions.
Hey user, remember when she bombs the High Sept of Balor and effortlessly wipes out the High Sparrow and Margarine without any sort of satisfying resolution to their character arcs?
Meera did nothing wrong
fucking hell I completely forgot about him. You're 100% right.
>She tries to get Margaery in prison but gets thrown in herself for example
That's because that happens in the books, and by that point D&D was DESPERATE to continue drawing from source material.
Is lord of the rings worth as well?
I haven;t seen the fucking films because I don't have enough adderall to keep me awake during that three hour fucking film
