There was no common expectation of privacy and my camera was in plain view, and I I had checked prior to going there and it is not a private road.
I was on public property and was not trying to intrude or even walk onto private land. I was just exercising my right to film in public. His security detail told me in private after I had stopped filming that "if I like following the law so much, why don't we call the police and have them decide", which was a hint that the police would take the side of Bill Gates because he is "above the law", although I'm doing nothing wrong by being on public land.

Security guards have no more authority than any other citizen.
For a citizen's arrest you are not allowed to physically detain someone against their will unless they are committing a felony or an immediate breach of the public peace.
Trespassing is neither. The most you can do is ask them to leave and call the cops if they refuse.
