Anglos are weird

Literally everyone else uses the 5 latin vowels in a perfectly consistent system, with modifications in place to make it adequate it to their needs.

Except for the fucking anglos, where everything goes is apparently the only norm.

English is the most popular foreign language to learn in Lithuania today. It is spoken by 30% of total population and 80% of the youth. The older generations are unlikely to speak English, however, as very few schools taught it seriously under the Soviet occupation. Today English is the language Lithuanians expect foreigners to know, so it is widely used in modern museums, hotels, tourist signs and city/resort restaurant menus. As the "top language" of the "prestigious West", it also became fashionable for some key local trademarks and popular songs.

English phonology is a bastardised mess and the ISO basic Latin alphabet does a poor job at representing it. Fortunately for learners of English, you have an absolute universal glut of compelling content to acquire the language with.

>j is pronounced as dj
