>You drive your truck through Twin Peaks just minding your own bussiness when suddenly these two jokers pull you out of your well earned coffee break at the RR Diner and accuse you of being possessed by a serial-killing demon.
What do?
You drive your truck through Twin Peaks just minding your own bussiness when suddenly these two jokers pull you out of...
Put a fish in their percolator.
>tfw Harry won't return in s3
What do you guys think of Deadly Premonition?
Is it lynchian enough for you?
The last third of the game is shit just like Twin Peaks, so yes it is quite Lynchian. I also loved the game despite the shitty mechanics btw
I thought it was great. It's exactly the kind of mix of bizarre characters, quirky protagonist and supernatural threat that I loved in TP. Plus, the ending almost made me bawl. It's one of those games where the total is greater than the sum of its parts.
More importantly, go back to Sup Forums, faget
Not bad but Alan Wake is the superior Twin Peaks vidykino derivate
...
Why does every Twin Peaks thread seem like it's the facebook shitposting group?
no new content for 25 years
I know, but surely there are more memes than this fucking thing
Tell them to relax and let me enjoy my coffee and pie. Maybe give them the bookhouse boys hand sign.
well there's also this classic
here, have a rare Coop
thanks, have a James in one of his most expressive moments as return
>Maybe give them the bookhouse boys hand sign
that would make you even more suspicious, there's only like seven of them
>tfw too intelligent to write songs
He will return
Fuck my daughter.
wrong Truman
>tfw Season 3 is the only thing you look forward to and you're considering becoming a designated shooter at a KKK rally if it doesn't turn out alright
any other Americans relate?
not quite that extreme bit I will be mad as hell if it sucks
Geez, did Bob get a hold of Bobbie?
That's not Harry, that's Frank.
More memes, you say?
SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH
COMPLETELY SILENT
During the shitstorm that was the middle of season 2, Nadine wasn't that bad and had some good moments.
...
now THAT is one controversial opinion
Is it now? Some of her shit was at least tolerable and funny to a certain degree, compared to watching Donna's and James's romance falling apart.
I couldn't tolerate any of it.
Now Ben's Civil War arc, that was actually not only tolerable, but pretty good.
the James stuff being the lowest of the low doesn't make the Nadine stuff any better. But it's not exclusive to her really, I didn't like anything in Twin Peaks post-reveal except for the finale.
On that we can agree, since I loved CW Ben a lot.
Confederate sub plot is still the best.
That was perhaps a bad comparison, but I felt like the Nadine part was silly the show needed at the time and had some amusing parts, though I can understand people not loving, even hating on it. But yes, season 2 had a lot more generic soap opera moments than needed and the finale was it's only saving grace, well, that and Denise.
Totally!
turn 360 degrees and talk backwards out of the diner
OST was great and I found the game quite neat, actually. Loved it's atmosphere.
>there a people in this thread RIGHT NOW that think the Little Nicky subplot is anything but pure kino
Actually, I agree with you. I was preparing for the worst after they revealed the direction of Nadine's storyline following her suicide attempt, and then ended up liking it more than most of the stuff outside the main arc in the second half of S2. Watching her superstrength antics was genuinely entertaining, and had the unanticipated side effect of dramatically reducing the screen time for Ed and Norma's extremely bland romance sub-plot.
Actor is dead
False
Fuck off, Josie
so he was legitimately retarded right?
I miss the Andy in the Pilot. It was basically a different character. He wasn't retarded, just innocent and sensitive.
he gets hit in the head alot so i like to think he is sustaining gradually increasing amounts of brain damage as the series progresses
No, he's just chilling in Hawaii and doesn't want to go back to the icky Pacific Northwest
Flanderisation. Happens to the best of characters.
huh that actually makes sense
I just watched the series and then fire walk with me.
I can recognize the drop in Season 2, but I still enjoyed it. The movie was atrocious though
>This is some darn good coffee Agent!
He was basically the most knowlegeble person about the crazy shit going on in Twin Peaks. Why didn't he offer any assistance?
I liked the characters and driving round listening to the conversations was comfy as fuck. Just a shame all the gameplay was trash and the story was fucking awful.
>mfw it's a Twin Peaks thread where people see the positives in S2 and discuss their favourite subplots without attacking one another
>The movie was atrocious though
What a disgusting opinion. Get the fuck out of my sight.
is this going to be lynchs magnum opus
>that was the first man in black and was butt-buddies with richard nixon in his hayday
who cares about that guy, what about the Major? Dude pops in once an episode to go "here's a mysterious sentence for you Coop. I'll explain later" then walks away and gets abducted or kidnapped, only to show up again a few days later and never explain anything.
The movie was the best thing about Twin Peaks you fucking pleb
That guy was the Major's boss.
Was that not the mayors brother? I don't recall him having any military ties or interacting with the Major
>It's a Julee Cruise's haunting vocals move me to tears scene
Whoops, quote was meant for
FWWM is kino
Briggs was transferred to Twin Peaks, Washington with his family in 1982, later revealed in 1985 to have been under the orders of Lieutenant Colonel Douglas Milford. Milford had hand-picked Briggs to continue his work in compiling an archive of history concerning the town of Twin Peaks and the mysteries surrounding it
So what's the deal with Aliens in this show? Garland is monitoring signals from space but the message he gets for Cooper comes from the woods. His abduction seems like an alien one but the rest of the show points towards demons. There is mentions of project blue book and it seems to be related with the lodges.
Is Bob and them Aliens?
>I was just a boy. I saw him in my dreams. He said he - he wanted to play. He opened me and I invited him and he came inside me.
What did he mean by this?
It's a red herring. The people in Project Bluebook are incorrectly interpreting spirit phenomena as aliens. I thought this
>Garland is monitoring signals from space but the message he gets for Cooper comes from the woods
made it pretty clear.
if you take that Secret History book to be canon, Aliens are real tho.
twinpeaks.wikia.com
>He secretly continued Project Blue Book for Nixon by gathering allies fro 4 years, keeping it secret from other agencies such as the CIA who refuse to convey information to the president's office. Nixon eventually showed him a facility with many UFO related objects and even the survivor of the Roswell accident
I repeat, it's a red herring.
haha holy shit I only just realised there were two Milfords
I hadn't read the book so I thought everyone was talking about this guy
Is someone trying to hide the fact that there are spirits in Twin Peaks? I seen forum posts about factual inaccuracies in the book. I ought to buy it at some point but I feel like it's more fun to hear theories about it than to actually read it.
DAYMAN
Agreed. Also when I played it there were so many bugs during the last portion of the boss fight that I really struggled to finish it. Memorable ending too.
It won't start on my computer, even after patching it :(
There is nothing comfier than this subplot
WATCH IT COOP
Yeah it's one of those mystic pieces of Japanese witchcraft when it comes to compatibility and performance. Try a pirated version if you're using the Steam version?
...
DRAPE RUNNERS, JERRY
ATTABOY
They're monitoring signals coming both from space and within the woods. Secret History seems to imply that there may well be aliens, but a great deal of UFO sightings, especially around Twin Peaks, were lodge spirits misinterpreted as extraterrestrial.
There's tons of inconsistencies in the book, between it and the show, it and the movie, it and real life and even information that contradicts other information in the book. The most notable inconsistency seems to be the erasing of Annie from history. When someone asked Frost about it, he said all would be revealed in time, but Lana Budding was the winner of Miss Twin Peaks 1990.
This scene is comfy comedy kino
youtu.be
How can you like the Dick/Andy/Lucy scenes? They are pure, unapologetic filler.
Because they are overall funny, entertaining and comfy, and Ian Buchanan is based.
James' subplot, now that is bad filler.
I guess we all want something different out of twin peaks, some people like the soapy stuff more, others prefer the darker elements and the dichotomy between them. Makes me wonder if season 3 is gonna be an 18 hour FWWM or has more light-hearted stuff too.
Don't get me wrong, I love the dark and gritty parts too.
It'll be a surprise cameo, just wait and see
I confess.
Fuck, I gotta replay this now that I've seen TP. I loved it the first time around.
I kept waiting for her craziness to have some relevancy to the mystic stuff surrounding Twin Peaks and to tie into the main plot. Shame nothing came of it.
It will suck, but you'll realize its genius about a decade later just like all of Lynch's material. Don't expect Twin Peaks or FWWM, you're getting something you don't even know that you want.
I expect Lynch to go full FWWM. I don't want it, but that's what I expect.
Mark Frost is co-writing it, I suspect it will be quite similar to the tv series
They are quite competent, will quickly realize their mistake and invite me to a good cup of hot black coffee as an apology.
How did they found out that there was a third guy outside the cabin? How did they know he was the killer and not Leo?
Ronette Pulaski saw Bob who doesn't look at all like Leo
>Shame nothing came of it.
like most plot threads in Twin Peaks
hey anyone have that image that explains which episodes of twin peaks are good, and how good they are with a scale?
thanks in advance, pals
Jesus christ she's still so fucking hot
