Thoughts on Hannibal TV Series?

...

Better than most the movies. Mads played a version of Hannibal that had a lot more screen time, so he didn't need to be as hammy as Hopkins was.

Top tier psychology- and homoerotic-kino.

I loved the show initially, and then the Red Dragon arc happened, and I was compelled to rewatch the entire series.

...

Kill yourself, faggot.

I can honestly say, I have never seen this meme before.

...

Daily reminder that Mads is autistic. He begged Fuller not to let them use this take. Fuller spat in his face, laughed and told them to use it anyway. Mads was hella pissed and threatened to quit the show.

...

First two seasons are god-tier but the last season is very disappointing.

Slow first season.
Literally perfect second season with the best final episode I have ever seen on any show.
Really bad third season.

...

...

Halfway through season 2, taken a break because I don't want it to end, Mads is a god-tier actor.

That wendigo stag thing is creepy as fuck too, same as that bit where Will is at the shooting range and the poster turns into Hobbs when it's coming back, this show knows how to do horror.

GOAT

Seriously one of the best shows of the last decade. I saw Cure for Wellness the other day and all I could think is how much better Hannibal did everything that movie tried to do.

3 season was shit. first two are top tier goat kinos

It was a good choice on Fuller's part desu, Hannibal was trying to seem innocent at this point.

...

>cannibalistic serial killer on the loose
>everyone suspects the friendly autist who is catching serial killers and saving lives
>no one suspects the creepy dead eyed emotionless psychiatrist who constantly jokes about eating people

What is this Hugh Dancy pumpkin-meme? I love it.

Wasn't this intentional?

...

...

I wish Mads didn't mumble so much. I had to watch the entire show with subtitles to understand what the fuck he was saying.

...

It was shit

Dude, Graham is autistic! It means he's like super empathetic!

You can see why they stopped with that plot point, because that ain't autism.

Pretty sure that's just his accent.

...

I miss pumpkinposting
thank you Sup Forums

...

It was really good for the most part. Great cinematography and acting but at some point, especially during the horrible HORRIBLE finale of Season 2 it became such pseudo-intellectual drivel. First episode of Season 3 was great, I stopped watching after watching the second episode though because I couldn't stand seeing Will again. They should have made the show about Hannibal at that point.

...

You didn't watch the Red Dragon arc?

...

>Criticising anything Mads does

...

oh he looks like that in real life too kek

Seeing as they will be bringing Hannibal back in a year or two it was a big mistake killing off Verger half way through season 3. How it should've gone down:
>Hannibal get's captured and handed over to US authorities
>halfway through the season now, two or three episodes could be spent on Hannibal's trial
>bring back sexy orderly as a witness against Hannibal
>Hannibal would be his own lawyer, being all charismatic and shit to convince the jury he's insane
>could also greatly focus on Verger trying to bribe everyone to influence the trial to try and get the death penalty for Hannibal
>Verger pays the prosecutor shitloads of cash to ensure he does his best job
>at the end of the trial arc the jury find Hannibal insane, he gets imprisoned
>Verger is furious and has the prosecutor privately tortured at his estate
Then you could put the Verger storyline on hold until Hannibal escapes and then use the massacre at his farm as a future season finale. Verger should've been saved as a final boss, not wasted halfway through season 3.

Some claim that autists don't have any lack of empathy but are just completely overwhelmed by it.

...

...

I haven't thought and certainly not read up on the series since I quit it. How nice that they did the red dragon. I love Manhunter.

...

Manhunter did a much better job.

>Fannibal
:^|

...

I miss it

I liked it better when it was called Millennium.

FUCK

Simply one of the best series in recent years regarding it's visual style and allusions. And I was sceptical as fuck if we really need another adaption of the source materials. But they managed to add so many interesting new layers and keeping true to the source material that I was really impressed.

hot

Season 1 &2 where good, season 3 took itself too seriously and every character talked like he was doing a goth monologue.
Also, they went full gay, for me their relationship shouldn't be sexual.
Also, how will got away in season 2 of being his copycat and making a statue with the dead body of a girl was FULL retard.

Graham was never autistic. He was neurotic and a whole slew of other things they didn't care to elaborate on.

Holy fucking kek

I don't think season 3 took itself too seriously at all. Fuller himself said he wanted to make a pretentious artfilm out of season 3 because he knew the show was getting cancelled so he just did it for fun.

This pumpkin meme is fucking bananas

/r/ing the disorted homolust time clock pic, please.

...

Thank you so much, user. This one of the best meme variations ever made in my opinion.

Not gonna lie, this is an accurate summary of the series.

If you weren't gay before watching Hannibal, well you are by the end of Season 3

somehow managed to be more gay than every homosexual male in history all fucking each other at once. and then the show is purposely grandiose to the point where it becomes "lol just turn off your brain dude" but for pseudointellectuals. everything is so unrealistic, every character besides will and hannibal are so unrealistically stupid and oblivious.

the typical hannibal fan has appeared on r/iamverysmart at least a dozen times

>projecting this much

is this you?

>muh realism
congrats, you're a pseudointellectual

I sincerely hope this a joke.

I can only cringe so much

Highly overrated.

Started off promising but it became a vehicle for the visuals and not much more.

This post gave me a lump in my stomach. Jesus Christ.

this copypasta again

Top-tier kino.

Fuck off Hopkins.

Man the Hannibal memes were fresh.

Still incredibly mad that Michael Pitt left the fucking show and we got a different actor to play Verger.

I'm watching the show again, that constant banging plastic soundtrack is pissing me off, I get it's meant to be scary, but christ, it's like someone is doing it right next to me.

But the point of this scene is that hannibal was tampering with evidence

visually it was pretty cool, it was ok

"What god do you pray to?"

Was he? Explain?

He took over for Will at this point, and was fuckin' with the FBI.

this basically
they went full art-house in the first half of the third season but it didn't really fit with the format...
i swear, i really felt that one episode was literally only will walking around in slow motion around hannibal's family mansion in lithuania...
jack fucking up hannibal's shit was really great though...

There was no evidence to fuck with there you idiot. All he does is sniff the corpse, he notices the scent of the rare flowers, allowing him to identify the killer's hideout. The way the authorities figure out where the killer's hideout is has nothing to do with forensic evidence on the body. Retard.

>misleading the fbi isn't still tampering with evidence
You don't belong in this thread, brainlet.

There's a theory that he deliberately spergs into discount Chrissy and Maragret Cho to deposit some skin cells on them

It seems more likely he's trying to make them think he's just a dweeby chimp though

I just thought he was acting out of place to toy with them.

how do you know they'll bring it back??
don't give me false hopes user, i already got over the cancellation, i couldn't handle another disappointment...

What the fuck are you on about? The season 2 finale was the best episode of the entire season. One of the best finale I've seen on any show thus far. Should have ended the show there.

>Just continued where I left off because I saw this thread, and the first episode I watched had Mads in swimwear

Goodness.

Nah Red Dragon arc was amazing.

Fuller wants to bring it back and the cast said they'd be on board. But the problem is that no network will pick it back up. They might do a movie too.

Who the fuck wouldn't want to pick it up? It's art.

I agree with you about what you said about season 3. I don't really think they took it so seriously but the dialogue wasn't the strongest this season. Still some great quotes from the season tho.

"You didn't lose yourself, you just crawled so far up his ass you couldn't be bothered."

Sure are a lot of serial killers in that general area.

We have a show in the uk called Midsummer Murders where somebody is killed every week in a small town. You'd think everybody would have moved away.

I think that, or at the very least, the town's population should be like 10 people left by this point.
