I don't know about the ones I like, but I sure hate Leone's titles. He's one of my favourite directors, but his movie titles are often too long or dull and make no justice to their respective movies. Idk, maybe they sound better in italian.

Nice.

Yes.

Fishing for compliments again, Lily Mo?

Great thread, OP.

Problem Child 2

I'm not going to spoonfeed but this thread it's seriously lacking in porn movie titles.

I like the ones that would sound really good read by a creepy trailer voice

Too many movies these days go with "The _____"

It doesn't matter how cool or unusual the second word is, calling your movie that just makes it forgettable and uninspired. A title should have as much character as the piece of work itself.

Mommy

>she has an adult child
wew

Along Came a Spider
Kiss the Girls
All the Pretty Horses
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Once Were Warriors
Requiem for a Dream
The Arrival
The Green Inferno
American Beauty

The quality of these movies vary wildly but all the titles just do it for me.

On the flip side, while quite liking the movie I always hated the title 'Batman Begins'. Is there something I'm missing about it or is it literally as dumb as it sounds?

>It doesn't matter how cool or unusual the second word is, calling your movie that just makes it forgettable and uninspired. A title should have as much character as the piece of work itself.
THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD

also, the fast and the furious and
The good, The bad and The ugly

All have more than one "the" and none is forgettable.

Shrek

I think user meant titles that have "The" and then only one other word. I still disagree because imo "The Godfather", "The Departed" and "The Matrix" are all pretty great titles.

Witchfinder General
Hausu
Lost Highway
The Game

this

Shrek 2

Days of Thunder

Snatch
Death Becomes Her
The Evil Dead
Walk Hard
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Apocalypse Now
Dawn of the Dead
The Blues Brothers
The Meaning Of Life
Blazing Saddles

Eyes Do Not Want to Close at All Times or Perhaps One Day Rome Will Allow Herself to Choose in Her Turn

Memories of Murder
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring
Guilty of Romance

>Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

>Taste of Cherry
>My Own Private Idaho
>The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (great soundtrack, by the way...)
>Back to the Future

>The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (I like that title)

>Problem Child 2 (made me laugh, like the younger sibling was a problem, too -- no pun intended). Never seen either but it is a good title...

>The Phantom Menace

>Blade Runner

>Lost Highway
>Also, I just lost...

All great titles.

Mine:
They Shoot Horses, Don't They?
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
A View to a Kill
Quantum of Solace
(the Bond films are junk but Ian Fleming had a knack for cool titles ...too bad they raped his stories.)

Quantum Of Solace
Synecdoche New York

Petey Wheatstraw The Devil's Son In Law

Cornbread, Earl, and Me

Shaft In Africa

In fact, any blackspotation title is GOAT

>Asta La Puerco Babey

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Raiders of the Lost Ark

You just know what you're in for.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a pretty great title too

Vampirism.
