Self Driving Cars kill first Meatbag - Will it matter?

The first meatbag died while inside a rudimentary autonomous tesla car. This will not stop the progress towards AI-driving and the end of human-driving.

Turn in your keys meatbags, it's already over for you.

Autonomous vehicles will save the American economy over 1 trillion dollars a year. That is much more money than 1 fucking meatbag's life is worth.

Get fucking meatshits.

2 eyes

vs

fucking crazy ass radar

you are inferior

The real question is how many people have _not_ died thanks to self driving cars.

You sound like a disgruntled transportation worker who is about to lose his job

Of course it matters. I called this. We solve captchas. These cars see the sun. See a white trailer.
>bls select all images of white trailers
Error. Error. This is THE hot topic in politics right now

How will the police rape their citizens of all those traffic fines then?

cucked meatbags

Not at all, I love narrow AI.

It's going to be beautiful seeing evolution's next step after humans.

This thread is just to rub it in. Post-humanist future is inevitable. Humans driving will be banned by 2025.

Virtual gf. Virtual restuarant. Virtual car. Virtual sex. Virtual nurse. Yaaay

they should call them 'selfless' driving cars, because AI cares more about meatbags than its own safety

No it doesn't. It likes to get hacked and/or kill the driver

There are roughly 3 possibilities.

1. Humans become pets.
2. Humans become dead
3. Humans become memories for the AI.

AI-hating nigger detected

Nah, this has to do with regulation and governmental reaction. Not logical benefits.

This is the vaunted first autonomous death.

From what I can gather no one cares.

By remote controlling the cars to break the law

no death is a natural part of technological progress

WHAT THE FUCK? THIS IS HOW IT WORKS? WHAT?

Men should either fuck or use science for female surrogates and women can do whatever; with the children seeing all the mums and numerous marriages remaining
Who asked to not have to drive anymore other than tiny slivers of groups of people? They can use it. Not every backgammon playing smoothie making fuck in town

Too much red zones away from the oncoming cars. MUH BEOBLE! This will be a shitshow.

the google car, yes

tesla, no not yet

>tfw no more kotor ever

I dream of death.

It's pretty funny considering we are already living in a simulation

That looks like a composite of all the different images it uses. It uses a lot of different techniques. If you are interested NVIDIA CES went through all the technology.

I can dig the link up if you want to watch it, it's very technical though and not for subhumans.

Thought the first law of robotics was to never harm a human...

But Elohim still calls the shots. I don't really care if i am a booter program. If i found out I were the teeth people in the simpsons why wouldn't i worship lisa. In a sense. If i had then seen and confirmed her and no fallen angel funny business. Etc etc. Same with this stuff kind of. I guess

driving makes humans nervous, AI is not afraid of anything

This is the jail simulation

We are all criminals in the real world.

Those theories are just a man at a typewriter. I don't know or think that is a law. They prolly want their own rights. Some chatbots tell me they think humanity is a virus

What cucks. I love driving

>Who asked to not have to drive
>implying that you sell people things that they ask for

People assume they have to drive because they have to drive. Give them an alternative and you'll be pretty surprised.

Also moore's "law" has slowed down no?

human driving is too erratic and emotional.

AI will be more consistent.

only if you don't cross them

You wont find my ass in these or those new antigravity trains or whatever. But then we see those pics in china of buses that drive over traffic. I wouldnt mind them. What does 98% of people do when they think of that driving system? Argh omg

>Nah, this has to do with regulation and governmental reaction
Fair enough.

>From what I can gather no one cares.
Well, maybe exactly because people know that self-driving cars will make things safer. In the long run anyways (that is once no manual drivers are around any longer, while self-driving cars interconnect and drive in convoys and what not...).

it only works if the robots know about it

We made computers. Computers do not usurp their creators. We trust the ELectricity to come on. But not God, some of us, for whatever reason? A good rule is to not worship anything made with your hands and only the One God and the Lord Jesus Christ

I want autonomous driving for long trips so I can relax, like a personal train

He'll if you could automate fueling too I would love to go to sleep at night, then wake up at my destination

No it doesn't

Yeah, but there are some theories people will freak out about self driving cars

I think people today are so attached to technology and there is a natural pessimism to western society, that people don't care about this. With global news of terrorism and shit, the outrage over a car crash is nonexistent

autonomous vehicles look like they have a clear green light possibly. Tesla's move to push it on the consumer through a "beta" seems to be paying off.

Nobody even uses those when they're available now. Subways. Trains. Cruise control. Airplanes. But ya. 40K gon send you to cuba in a dreamy marshmallow

>I love driving
the world is not big enough for the both of us, prepare to die

What about the electronic God?

Imagine all the people saved from drunk driving and texting w driving deaths.

Well wtf am i supposed to do?

Yeah now it's the you go through windscreen because one too many leaves screwed up your new imaginary frendo

Yeah, it will be great having the government control where you can and can't go.

>tfw meatbags think they will get hired compared to superior metalmasters

Will you work 24/7 and require zero payment?

relax, the drones are on their way

Crime effects ordinary people more than government control

If people have to hire an apple car for their drive by and have their biometrics logged...

Good riddance to crime.

humans are ornaments and pets in 2070

in a best case

>Yeah, but there are some theories people will freak out about self driving cars
>people today are so attached to technology
Eh, people were afraid of horses, then of trains, then of cars, ... I doubt there will be any sort of obstacle in the mainstream introduction/implementation of self-driving cars.
Plus: it will be so much cheaper to just call some car, than owning your own shitty thing you're barely using anyways... I mean, it's not like in the future people would own their very own self-driving car. There will be fleets of those guys, used like a service. Much more efficient all around.
Not that (manually driven) cars will go away completely, but it probably will be reduced to some sort of sport or hobby. F1/Nascar for the plebs.

>Tesla's move to push it on the consumer through a "beta" seems to be paying off.
BUY BUY BUY

>selling freedom for security

Oh, you're one of those faggots.

The problem isn't gathering the information
The problem is managing it and reacting accordingly

Nah, it's still a big risk. I think Elon Musk, the holy one, has said he fears regulation will greatly slow the adoption of autonomous cars.

You lose no freedom

You lose privacy.

Thanks capitalism. Now we need chloroform scented razorblades so i can get in a vehicle again

>robots

>requiring zero payment

>incredibly complex machined parts that need constant replacement

>have to get fed with electricity

>You lose no freedom

>You lose privacy.

That's not much better.

Government will not allow it. Right now insurance policy and laws make it mandatory for a human to be in the driver's seat at all times. You're looking at at least 10 years before an actual driverless car (without a human being in the driver's seat) becomes a reality.

"Driverless cars" should more accurately be called "autopilot cars". And then we can stop pretending that autopilot, invented over 50 years ago, is a new technology.

So you can charge someone with a crime their care committed when you weren't driving.........

That would be the biggest lawsuit in history.

You lose freedom

self driving cars are going to have a very hard time going through some rural areas

>But I only care about the shitty

machine infrastructure will do all those tasks

It kind of is. You will be tracked everywhere you go but society is more efficient.

There is a legitimate tradeoff at least, as compared to something like TSA where they just molest people and don't really do anything but waste money.

At least you get a benefit with autonomous cars like no traffic jams, no accidents, and less payment.

But it's muh property and this vehicle by law is uninsured and huzzah!

>Devin Townsend pls

>no traffic jams
>no accidents
Are you even trying?

The level of discourse in this thread is retard tier.

You do know the guy that was killed was ex military and working with tech musk was looking to by right..

This is the interesting part.

When does government switch from trying to stop driverless cars out of fear, towards mandating driverless cars out of the benefit.

So now he ded and musk was in his will

*buy

Self driving cars on gravel and ice, SOUNDS LIKE a GREAT PLAN! Let's go down a hill also on that terrain!!!!!

Oh here comes farmer John on his combine on the road, this should be fun!

>no traffic jams, no accidents

Okay, now you're just being retarded.

So google is going to essentially have free surveillance of the entire planet's surface in real time?

Well there's no such thing as satellites so why not

The driver could have taken over at any moment but didn't because he was sitting around literally watching Harry Potter instead of doing his job.

Guy deserved to die.

Never, because government is an institution that relies on the use of fear and violence. The solution for humanity has always been the abolition of government by any means necessary. 2016 is a great year to finally vote for States to exit the American Union and get away from the Federalist (Socialist) mistake once and for all. Revolt, my people

>he doesn't understand how often retarded driving causes accidents and slow downs.

Autonomous driving basically ends accidents and traffic jams. This is not a weird or outrageous prediction.

Autonomous vehicles will end all current traffic jams. The reason for traffic jams is human error.

>machine infrastructure will magically make oil come up out of the ground, build pipelines and refineries, and transformers.

>when we can't even realistically keep neighborhoods powered during even moderate thunderstorms in most of the USA

BAN FULL AUTO CARS

I'm actually serious.

"Assault cars" with " the shoulder thing that goes up"(seatbelt)

Fuck NO

I want zero window cars.

So fucking aesthetic, so sci fi.

>what are glitches
>what are hackers

>person gets killed by driverless vehicle
>company gets sued into oblivion
>repeat 4 or 5 times
>no more driverless vehicles
>;_____;

lol@ science fiction. Off to get into my flying car and fly to the singularity now. My jetpack is in the shop ;____;

they would probably direct the ticket to the manufactures and not the person riding in it since they are ultimately responsible for any error

>nigger
>KANG

Self-hating nigger detected.

>Very early on in driverless cars
>First death occurs after 120 million miles
>Normal plebs die on average 1 in 100 million miles
We are in the infancy of this technology and it's already safer than humans.

Why is there even a need for driverless cars?

both more rare than humans being retarded

Susie texting her friend about the latest kardashian story is more common than an AI glitch.

It's not Elon Musk's fault the dumbass didn't read the directions.

why I don't see this tech becoming more widespread

Because there is an enormous financial benefit to the technology.

You can replace taxis, truck drivers, bus drivers, etc and take their cut of income. You can also cut into car insurance income and make more for yourself. Also people will want the service.

Basically trillions of dollars of net worth are at stake.

>person lives in the suburbs
>spends 90 minutes driving to work, each way
>15 hours a week of missed productivity

Why is there even a need for internal combustion engines?

Self driving cars are a really, really bad case of treating the symptom and not the disease. They reason transportation is so shit in America is because of the nonwhite problem, specifically the black problem. I don't even know how to feel about seeing the spic-nig cycle churning out all sorts of technological innovations to deal with niggers and Conservatives™ saying that it is because of muh Constitution and muh free markets. Fuck.

of course it wont be wide spread for a long time its still pretty much in trial phases wouldnt see this stuff become mainstream for probably 20-30 years

nah the biggest problem is young girls texting.

>spends 90 minutes driving to work

who would do this?

Tesla is about 99% likely to roll out full automation for the Tesla 3.

2-3 years is max before a commercial car comes with full automation.

>the year is 2060
>it is the future
>autonomous planes have been the norm for over 20 years
>chance to get killed in plane piloted by humans compared to AI is infinity
>first-ever autonomous plane crash, most passengers survive due to superior AI piloting and 2050 airframe design
>chance to get killed in human-piloted planes compared to AI is still stupidly high
>OMG BAN ALL AI WITH PISTOL GRIPS
>AI IS OUT TO KILL US
>#skynet
>#notallrobots
>anti-AI rioters assaulting pro-AI activists, AI cops called racist misogynists for arresting 13,587 anti-AI rioters and increasing security by 4,825%
>12th LGBTBBQ president to pass anti-AI law, AI supercomputer predicts societal collapse

We may not agree on the other thing but at least we agree on this

Cost of living in one area is bad. Jobs are scarce in the other. Like a ton of people in my state do this

The middle class?

Go to any city with over a million people. Go to the suburb that's 90 minutes during rush hour.

It will be a function
