Story?
I watched way too much World Series of Poker when I was like 12.
Live poker was ruined by boring internet autists who replaced all the fun personalities
This
Look up Phil Helmuth
The way he would act up sometimes was hilarious.
Tom "I do lots of drugs and play poker for the mafia" Durr Dwan
YEAH
I'M A LAZY JACK
I GOT AN ACE OF DIAMONDS AND I AIN'T HOLDING BACK
Durr was a fucking retard, he thought he was the best and challenged everyone, then lost all his money to actual good players online.
That's really the problem with most top poker players in general. They never accept that people surpass them and keep playing high stakes anyways and just lose everything.
>it's an actor plays the world series and tries the most transparent all-in bluff because he thinks 'acting' is an actual profession that gives you any real life skills or requires any talent and gets called out immediately episode
love those episodes.
As a former casino employee, I have to confirm that seeing famous people lose their entire fortune in front of you is one of the most exhilarating things you can ever experience.
Would you go all in?
When did he start using Dwan? Fucking Tugboat Maguire biting sell-out
Damn Jennifer Tilly is so underrated.
Care for a game of Gwent?
They all do
you may complain about the others but Durrrr was awesome to watch, even autistic
That bitch was terrible. I remember her being dressed like that one time when she had a great hand. Her cleavage just drew attention to her increased breath and excitement. Everyone at the table cottoned on to it and folded.
why is this allowed?
Nah just bet the pot. Matusow aint drawing shit, 250k is worth it. Ace of spades high baby
I'd go all (4 inches) in
Who /negreanu/ here
pic related is a REAL sport
Has he come out yet?
I play pot of greed
he seems like a pretty chill guy but he just feels so reddit
What weekdays and times are there usually good on poker threads on /asp/? Or did they sought sanctuary in /tg/ now? I want to gradually get back in the games and debts.
All in. Dubs on the river.
Definitely my favorite
negreanu & helmut banter was always gold
I used to watch Daniel Negreanu on twitch, he did these streams from his hotel rooms and stuff. Shit was hilarious.
yeah but I think most tv guys back then knew they would get BTFO against the online high stakes players
I fucking love Ivey, that was perfect
Playing online poker?
I think so? There's a poker streamer on twitch who's a friend of his and he talks about him sometimes. Also gay.
Yeah he's literally one of the genuinely nicest people on the planet.
Yup.
he's a shill
So how would Antonius have played it if he had pocket boyos?
...
players who are fun to watch:
Daniel Negreanu
Antonio Esfandiari
Phil Laak (plays boring, but fun table chatter)
Patrik Antonius
Mike Matusow
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Ivey
eeeeh, that's all i can think of right now
who here watching unibet right now? This guy is getting JUSTed
Who /openmouthnigger/ here?
he streams sometimes hearthstone on twitch
bet a lot more pre-flop and kept betting whole hand through.
what do /we/ think of jason somerville?
Tony G is true poker kino
His twitter is 100% cuck shit all day.
>Button raise never has anything
To beat the grinders you have to start thinking like an amateur again
He's a faggot, but the good kind of faggot.
david spade really let himself go
but how much and until when? assume he wanted to milk the fish
too busy with his company and happy living stuff. he used to play serious hold'em and analyze hands on twitch, but he'd rather just chill these days.
He's an awful Pokerstars shill, out of his depth in the biggest games and his nice-guy act is phony as fuck
I used to be his biggest fan but I see through it now
>tfw playing my first WSOP event this summer
Anyone been before?
Why does Phil Ivey always look like hes having a stroke?
kek'd
I unironically love phil hellmuth

i can't see their total chips, but he would've bet high every single round going first. you don't 'bait' with KKs or AAs like that.
who here /JoeMcKeehen/
work from %ages, what stack% is too scary too fast and what is just right, a proper come-on. im asking because ive never gotten this aspect of the game quite right
wiggle wigglewop!!
...
>poker thread
>no Raymer
He's just some faggot who luckboxed a tournament years ago and now begs for stakes on 2+2
Poker kino thread?
This is Affleck face when Matt got rekt at the table.
Your bet-sizing should always be relative to the size of what is already in the pot. With regards to stack-size, just don't put yourself in awkward situations where there's more in the middle than in your stack, making yourself pot-committed.
If you're talking about scary bet sizing on say, a flop, you should take board texture into account. If you have pocket kings on a 9hThJs board, your sizing should be a lot bigger than if it's a 2c6hTs board because there's more your opponent can call you with and you want to charge players to chase their draws
sounds like he took all your chips
Dude plays boring as fuck and thinks funky glasses are a good substitute for any semblance of a personality
youtube.com
ah..didn't...didn't bet it man... smelled the rat...
JUST
I would but she will not even notice.
that is the grinder's way. say im on cocaine and have already decided nothing can beat my pocket kings and just want to milk a bitch as much as she's willing, do i just go with the opposite of that algorithm or are there finer points to slowplaying pocket kings?
what the fuck is wrong with him?
more like Jennifer Titty haha
Niggareanu can read anyone like a elementary school book.
he's not that good at reading anymore
Phil Hellmuth sounds exactly like Chris Chan.
>Plays boring as fuck
>Doesn't have a personality
You just described 99% of poker players
>Matt Damon Is Terrible at Poker
that wasn't so bad.
>later removed the word "male" from the reports
yea it's not like anyone will remember
Who is the best poker player today?
Also how do people lose their 'it' factor is it an age thing or do they just become so jaded?
Other than going CHECK CHECK CHECK all night even when he had the hands or giving off dozens of tells just in that segment alone, yea, it wasn't so bad.
He was thinking at least i'm not Batman in some shitty Batman vs Superman movie.
>all night
ok i didn't see the rest of the night, only this clip. but he baited one guy at least. he must've felt really stupid after that, falling for such a bad player kek
>a Hollywood star with some pretty bad acting here
lmao
What use does personality have on the table anyway? It's strictly for the cameras and broadcasting sidebusiness. Royalties for filming your likeness is like a generous 5% of a finals table earner.
"Poor guy's got nowhere to go!"
The easy answer is Fedor Holz but he just 'retired'
It makes it entertaining to watch, dummy.
Damn I remember when Texas Holdem was like crack to watch do people still watch it? Whoever decided to put a camera under the table should be a millionaire.
for you while you earn shit. this isn't rasslin where mic skills get you a bonus. could be chris chan and make top ten and the jews will still have to pay you pittance royalties while the real money is on the felt.
He didn't bait anyone. He lost a shit ton of "potential" money on that hand. As silly as it sounds, poker isn't about winning hands.
Doug Polk is the best poker content creator
Winning hands makes it entertaining to watch, dummy.
Entertainment isn't a strategy when you're trying to win tournaments.
what is it about then.
Losing hands is also as entertaining to watch, dummy. Just look at the premise of this thread.
Seems to me he wanted others to raise/bet instead of doing it himself. Partially successful, since one guy bet. No?
There's no skill in being dealt the best hand. The skill is extracting the most value when you do, and losing the least amount possible when you don't
Maximizing your winnings and minimizing your losses.
