Behold, despair in the sight of its glory.
But, tbserious I wasn't claiming superiority in old buildings, I was claiming old European castles suck A S S.
In Leipzig.
...
What do you think about this?
Havent posted a single castle yet m8
I like it. One of the most important monuments in Germany and reminds on an important event.
...
Castles are just the worst of the bunch. All of these old cathedrals, statures, buildings, etc. etc. are over-hyped and underwhelming.
I wish we had something like it, will never happen though cus "datz raycisd".
Germanic culture >>>>>>> everything else
You are crazy. Architecture is what makes a city comfy/welcoming and liveable. And old architecture > concrete boxes.
...
went to the muiderslot a month ago, it was really neat
>Architecture is what makes a city comfy/welcoming and livable. And old architecture > concrete boxes.
I didn't imply otherwise.

It will change. The conservative revolution is already happening.

how long until you need scuba gear to visit that castle?
why? stockholm is a pretty city, probably the best in the north.
All I had. No pics of Denmark, couldnt find any good, kek. If some Dane feels like contributing, go ahead.
Peasants pretend as if its not the pearl of Scandinavia because there happen to be alot of liberals and shitskins living here. But their presence doesnt affect the beauty of the city itself t b h
How are these inland germanic cities so damn cozy?
i'd give it about 20 years
was meant for
>not 1 (ONE) picture of denmark yet
>Sweden mentions Rostock and Wismar, but not Stralsund
you can say what you want but a germanic brick neighbourhood is still the comfiest place ever
Couldnt find any good pictures, and Faroe Islands and Iceland arent represented either...
Forgot about it. Good ol Swedish Stralsund... ahhh
Brick is a southern Germanic thing. Personally I prefer wood or stone houses.
I think soon we should revive the /germanic/ general.
her
you cut off the gay pride flag waving on top
rude
but we use almost only brick, and we aren't southern germanics.
brick is a flatland building material, because its easy to stack
What is it? an old market hall or something?
...
Northern Germanic = Iceland, Norway, Faroe, Sweden, Denmark
Southern Germanic = Germans, Austrians, German-Swiss, Flemish, Dutch
England is also Germanic, but its more mixed with celtic influences so its a hybrid.
it's an old stock exchange building constructed in the 17th century.

Whats up with these star fortesses
You fucking mexican. Some of those buildings are older than our countries combined.
To defend ourselves against frogs and germs. Most of them are from the 17th century I think when this was the best way to build a fortress. The water is an obvious obstacle and cannonballs don't do much when they hit the sand slopes between the canals.
We've got a lot of them
My local church. Built in the 1100's, nothing fancy or grandios - but alot order than the New world
Older*
Mainly against frogs. We have built quite a lot star fortresses for the Germans actually, like Hamburg.
