I've only read the synopsis but I thought this was supposed to be some kind of satire, or at least have satirical elements. I honestly didn't read it that way, more like homage to other horror films. The setup is kind of this uncomfortable white people being overly nice to the black guy thing, but then it turns into pretty much a straight up horror movie. There's defintely symbolism but I didn't think it was satire.
