Is Stranger Things the rare case that a show with children as leads and still be successful?
The majority of the show is acted by a group of child actors yet I don't find it cringy or annoying, probably because how well Finn played the character.

Freaks and Geeks was great, but it's a comedy not a serious drama like ST so it was easier to pull off
just cause theres a monster and diff genre doesnt make a difference
F&G was a comedy drama which is way harder to properly pull off than some quick sci fi flick on netflix.

Stranger Things is annoying and I don't like it. It caters too much to normalfags who wish it was 1980-something so they could go see whatever spielberg, lucas, de palma, landis, and hughes were shitting out at the time. The show is a compilation of wink-wink nudge-nudge nods to 1980s stuff from the fucking casting choices to the toys and appliances the characters use. The child actors are okay, not good, just okay.
