It's not very rainy no, it does get cold in the winter but not as cold as some other border states like north Dakota or the Great Lakes region. It is very comfy in spring, autumn, and summer.

Maine is the whitest state at aroung 95% non-Hispanic white. It's New England and Canadian neighbours are also all white

Maine has had a Conservative governor gor ages, but more importantly Maine elects more 3rd party candidates tgan any other state and their partisan politicians are known for their centre votes. No extremes in either direction.

Coldest month is Janurary with an average temp of -10°C, hottest is July with an average temp of 28°C. Maine is 23rd in precipitation out of 50, so not too wet or too dry, just right. They have no real hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes, earthquakes, floods, wildfires, mudslides, etc.
