Why isn't there a modern tv series of this? The source material is enough for about 3 seasons and it's perfect for the current post-apocalyptic/politically charged wave.

Stephen King is a hack who has only written pure fucking shit.
Go get some taste you fucking pleb.
You need to get laid, brother. You sound very angry.
So i guess you also hate
>The shawshank redemption
>The green mile
>The shining
>IT
>Carrie
All garbage except The Shining, which Stephen King, pleb that he is, fucking hated.
I am angry and I do need to get laid.
Is that a Jojo reference?
i tried reading that book but gave up about 3/5ths of the way through. it just wasn't that interesting
You knew it was coming.
He is a terrible writer.
He's taken that back these days. He's said he appreciates the movie more than he used to.
the shining isnt good
Everything he wrote after he stopped doing hard drugs is garbage.
>He is a terrible writer
i haven't read any of his other books but someone recommended i start with the stand to get into king and it just turned me off to him in general, i really don't like the way he writes. it's just very jumpy and all over the place.
>begging for more reboots
Cancerous fucking tourist
Not a reboot, a proper adaptation. The 1994 one really didn't do it justice.
>it's just very jumpy and all over the place.
It sounds like your autistic pea-brain can't follow the story.
M-O-O-N that spells OP is a faggot
The best book from him.
>inb4 pleb
I don't care I like steven king's books but he's overrated
Also the old tv show isn't bad it's just made with low buget. But I agree they should made a new one where they can show the whole destruction of the world
So... a reboot.
The movie sucked balls but the book is great. A solid 10/10
>No Dark Tower HBO series true to the source mateial
>Alternate universe take with black Roland
Why
the films were so much better than the books
Chambers and Ambrose Bierce shit all over every single horror writer.
King and Lovecraft scrambled to catch up. Their works are PD, give them a look.
If you've seen True Detective you have heard of carcossa (I haven't seen TD but I know its loosly based on Chamber's "The King in Yellow")
which is based off of bierce's "a stranger from carcosa". I looked all this stuff up just because the phrase "king in yellow" caught my eye in pic related.
Carcosa is a Ambrose creation which Chmabers borrowed and created his master piece.
Really, check these authors out, it's all free and online as its public domain.

But really, don't pick the King in Yellow, that's a retarded quote and the person probably hasn't actually read The King in Yellow, the book is wholly evil/unknown, even after reading it.
The Dark Tower is goat material for TV. I'm actually upset they're doing it for cinema
I can't stand his writing style either. But I read the first dark tower book, after a nut job co worker recommended it. It was borderline enjoyable. Much better than some of his other crap.
yeah, i know, what i meant to say was i bought two books from both authors on a whim after looking up what the phrase was a reference to. I reeally like both of them a lot, especially Bierce's "a tale of spanish vengeance" which is the funniest thing i have read all year.
Stand by Me is pretty classic, desu.
>Stephen King can't write endings: The book
If it came out I can just picture all the reviews
>Trump-esque
>All too real
>An apocalypse for Trump's America
Ain't that the truth.
>Is Trump secretly cooking a powerful bio-weapon?
It was a project at a time but then they made Stranger Things.
This, everything he seems to do normally has a rushed happy ending, its bollocks.
He slags off Kubricks shining and then his own version turns out to be wank with a feel good happy ending.
The Stand suffered from rushed happy ending syndrome too.
King can't do endings to save his life.
