Give me one movie better that's better than the book.
I'm waiting.

we had this thread already so my answer is Problem Child 2
...
Jurassic Park
Prestige, Die Hard, Forrest Gump
Jackie Brown
Starship Troopers
That's what I get for not checking the catalogue.
Starship Troopers
I would say Jackie Brown to Rum Punch. And I think I still will. The book is fantastic, I hope in an alternate universe QT made it a 10 part mini series with the same cast and everything.
Fail Safe
Blade Runner
is this your first time on a message board of any type?
>mfw Spielcucks actually believe this
literally every Stephen King adaptation (except maybe that Johnny Depp bullshit)
Die Hard was based on a book?
Inherent Vice
I feel like it served as a precedent in style for other Elmore Leanard adaptions (like out of sight and a life of crime as examples). They all have the same aesthetic even though Elmore never touched on such details.
The Shining
Starship Troopers
Sideways
American Psycho
oh I forgot also Fight Club
>The Shining
unquestionably this
Jaws
>starship troopers
Love both the movie and book, but basically different stories. I think a more accurate adaptation could actually be pretty good.
>American Psycho
>Starship Troopers
>Blade Runner
The books are all better
All of tarkovsky and kubricks films are better than the books they are based on, except Lolita
Who'll Stop the Rain
The Godfather
Generation Kill
Gone Girl
Flowers in the Attic
Apocalypse Now (tie)
There Will Be Blood
Communion
Pretty much anything written by Shakespeare is better as a movie because they are plays.
Blade Runner wasn't even a book, you shits.
How to Train your Dragon
The Ten Commandments.
Shawshank redemption
Virgin Suicides for sure. What a shit book.
ranbo
the lord of the ring
Jurassic Park was pretty great adaptation. Book suffered from some unnecessary exposition.
But I would love to glimpse the timeline where Cameron won the rights to adapt it. Would've been Alien, but with dinosaurs.
Last of the Mohicans.
You also forgot pretty much every other well known Kubrick movie, 2001, Clockwork Orange, etc.
>Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep isn't a book
Hellraiser
Pride and Prejudice
Gone Girl
