It's an odd one, they have narcissistic tendencies as in narcissists not only have a high opinion of themselves, but have an obsessive need for other people to affirm this superiority, As a result they engage in attention-seeking behavior, using things like instagram, tinder, facebook, twitter. This explains the formation of SJW's and the Alt-Right and why millennials are drawn to that attention-seeking feed back loop, through virtue and status signalling on each side. It doesn't matter if your right or wrong, or even if you know what your talking about, what matters is your getting attention.
They also exhibit this weird solipsism. For example, usually a narcissist understands that other people have needs, wants, desires etc, they just don't care, they think their own are much more important, but they can still put food on the table. Millennials it seems, have this sort of solipsism, as in they cant even comprehend that other people have thoughts or feelings, so once someone deviates from their own beliefs, regardless of how much else might be agreed upon, is ostracized, bullied, etc (this happens on both sides).
The oddest thing I find about millennials is how they are tied to no music counter culture. Gen X had Grunge. Baby Boomers had the rock n roll, Greatest generation had Buddy Holly etc, all big shifts in the zeitgeist. Millennials have no band or artist that defines them, nothing to remember them by in history. My theory is they are too self-centered for music, music movements being a sort of shared experience (Ignoring shit like rap and shit pop music, radio friendly unit shifters always existed). Instead they turn to things like their gender, sexual orientation, hair color, hoping naively that the mark they leave on the world is themselves and not something they, as a generation, contributed too.
Thanks for reading my autism.
