>you will never fall asleep while pretending to care while watching Mad Men

>tfw no mad men wojacks to express my feels

>you will never have a moment this meaningful in your entire life

Forced myself to the 2nd episode of the 3rd season and couldn't take anymore.

Honestly I do think that was the best series finale a show has ever had.

Although I do think Peggy finding love at the last minute was trite.

>DUDE IM RICH SUCCESSFUL SUAVE HANDSOME AND FUCK A DIFFERENT WOMAN EVERY DAY BUT IM STILL BROKEN AND DISTRAUGHT INSIDE LOL

fuck Don Draper

People usually say Six Feet Under has the greatest finale of any show, but I couldn't make it through the show to get to it so idk.

>Although I do think Peggy finding love at the last minute was trite.
it wasn't though because there have been small details hinting that stan and peggy were right for each other since they first met

Not strange considering his childhood and his war experience.

>lacking empathy

SFU had a very satisfying ending, it was just right for the type of show it had.

Mad Men's finale hit he hard dramatically.

Holy shit nice Quads!

With that out of the way it just was crappy how it was right after she was panicking over Don's call to her.

>ywn have a big Texas belt-buckle

Not true, I hugged my laptop when I watched that scene.

It was meant to alienate heterosexual males

...

I can do that

Might watch 10 years from now

Pro tip: get blackout drunk every time you watch Mad Men.

It's like watching a completely different, yet still incredible show. I can't recommend this enough.

Did he have sex with Lee Garvey Jur?

>tfw you drop a spicy meatball on your shirt

Six feet unders finale was a prius commercial.

Agreed.

Watching Seinfeld when you're stoned is great too, it takes on a very dark sort of humor where the lack of empathy comes to the forefront (sorry for the DUDE WEED comment)

Just about done actually doing that. One episode 10, I think, of season 7.

Don't know what to do with my life afterwards.

>Ywn see don belittle Peggy and make her cry again

Damn

DUDE

>mfw i still havent watched it for the first time

>ywn see roger talk with don's sixteenth secretary about whether he's dead or not again

I miss Roger

>ywn be saved by roger after you did too many drugs and drowned yourself in a pool

>ywn never be Pete

>ywn have Roger ask you if indeed the lobby is full of negros

THE KING ORDERED IT

I was sitting in marketing class the other day and the "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" ad was shown as an example of consistent marketing. Mad Men feels came pouring back into me... I miss this show lads

>Punished "Venom" Cosgrove

mad men had so much detail. The brightness of california. The gloominess of the bars in new york. The cultures of the different characters; suburban living, city life, teenage and adult viewspoints of the changing era. I cant imagine another drama being as enjoyable as a whole. You can say nothing happens on the show but characters do end up in different places by the end. I love how young adults were really pretentious around don. Wish don partied at night more instead of drinking alone.

>tfw no way to express this feel

>If you're Pete you get to fuck Alison Brie for the rest of your life.
>But you'll never not be Pete.

Tough choice lads.

>dat carousel pitch scene
>dat why i'm quitting tobacco scene
>dat that what money's for scene

Jesus not tonight

>you will forever be a humongous faggot for posting this shit

fuck you OP

never seen Mad Men

i remember posting his monologue in one of these threads a while back

i got so man (You)s bruvs.... soooo many (You)s
shit was cash

i was rolling in them (You)s
felt good because my life is exactly like leonards minus the office job... or any job.. and the wife and kids.

how old are you?

not memeing

The Jet Set is the best episode.

This shit is pretty gay, the Don Draper stuff and the ongoings at Sterling Cooper are great and the sense of place and time and how they all coincide to the main story are great.

but seriously fuck all the Peggy and Betty scenes. I'm up to E04 S03 and they are tedious, like I couldn't care less about Peggy's boring religious family or whatever...I actually fast forward through all those scenes so I can get back to what the show does best; badarse period admen breaking the ice and making deals $

hah look at this faggot you guys

idk you might like it

depends tho if you like flicks or kino

do you like legion? because if you do then you probably wont like mad men..

do you like the sopranos? if so then youll probably enjoy this drama too

its kino but not for young people who have barely even experience life

i started watching when i was 21 and before that as a teen i always saw the commercials and thought it looked lame so i never bothered

i didnt know shit

...

i tend to like every single thing i watch so i don't think that's a problem

all i mean is something are like baubles

they have no substance

mad men has a lot of substance and requires patience and attention
if you get bored easily while watching people talk and you need action in every episode to drive the plot forward then you wont like this
but if you like immersive stories with complicated full characters that end with a payoff then you would enjoy this

It's so deep that repeat viewings are worthwhile anyway.

yea ive seen this shows full run 3 times

im in a digestion period but im about to start up again

It sounds really interesting, i might give it a shot. Thank user!

im always happy to turn people on to mad men

...

Why have I been in a constant stating of missing this show for nearly 2 years now?

because it felt like we lost contact with a whole group of buddies

never thought a television show would make me feel this way about it

ESPECIALLY THIS ONE

I love Sopranos, The Wire, BB, tried to get into this show but dropped it like a hot potato on the 2nd episode, it was fucking boring af

@80012280
cool story bro

>tfw even mad men timestamped images predate 90% of Sup Forumss regulars now, not even going to go in to LOST-dom percentiles

...

...

>tfw i could watch it for the first time, but choose not to

>tfw still haven't watched Mad Men

>tfw you forget to enlarge the image before you save it
>tfw still haven't seen Mad Men

kill me now, lads

>try to get my parents to watch Mad Men
>they drop it 7 episodes in because "nothing happens"
How did I end up with plebs for parents?

I don´t know what to say

CUZ YOUR ADOBTED

@80012677
this is a way of saying fuck you to shitposters without giving them the precious (You)s they need to survive

Still pissed off they called the feds on Ginsberg desu

Poor man's Sopranos

It's more serious and drama yet lacks the complex mix of depth and simplicity like the Sopranos

that dude thought he was an alien from outer space

if they told him to leave and never come back he wouldve came back with a gun or a bomb

that guy had some impotent rage

i liked him too but he was nuts

@80012866
nigger you are dumb

I enjoyed the period feel of it. You go to see characters experience 50s-60s-70s pop culture event and JFK's assassination and the civil rights movement, coupled with the cast's glamorous personal lives. One of my favorite shows.

hopefully he got the help he needed
do you guys think he was lobotomized?

Peggy is one of the most fascinating characters on the show.

I suspect you are simply an oaf.

@80012866

Child

Literally Layko, can't play around with psychos like that. You'll get a supreme gentleman in the middle of your office one day if not handled appropriately.

>Layko
huh?

anyway, wouldnt it be crazy if the original planned ending was something like when john lennon got shot

>recently released from the bin ginsberg spends all his time obsessing over the man who he thinks ruined his life: DONALD DRAPER
>he stalks our hero, making sure not to be seen, he maps out dons schedule
>one morning as don is entering work he hears a familiar voice call out from behind him
>"remember me?"
>for a second don is puzzled, is he mistaken like times before? that cant be adams voice....
>as he turns around their eyes connect and in that moment don knows what this reunion is about
>*BLAM* *BLAM* *BLAM* goes the .38 snub
>don drops to the ground
>other business men wrestle the gun out of ginsbergs hand
>don looks up
> he sees an angels
>its anna, adam... and the real don draper
>"its ok don, its time to go"

idk some shit like that

>benny blanco from the bronx

er shit idk why they would call him don tho, i fucked that up

they wouldve called him dick

oh yeaaaa but this would be more of a shock

just no warning, no indication during the show that this shit was about to go down

i mean after all this show is not centered on violence and to end it like that wouldve been jarring

>tfw still haven't seen it

saving it for better times

if youre depressed this show might make you feel less alone

its a relief knowing that people understand wtf you could be going through

I wish I had a good pepe like that

>tfw /sc&p/ -General

not depressed.

not depressed.

Just suicidal.

>first song is "love is blue"

Fämäläm

Typically I do not give shows time. But madmen never had that problem with me. First episode is great, along with the entire series.

holy shit dude you are being serious?
