Literally just got back from the cinema seeing this. What a surprise that when marvel breaks their shitty origins cookie cutter formula, it's a box office hit that I end up liking

>Government agents

They were mercs working for a genetics corporation.

>Logan is a limo driver
>Picks up fucking white males who chant "USA USA USA!"
>Kills some Mexicans
What's the problem again?

He didn't want to kill them at first though

What I like to say is, it's not a Superhero movie, it's a movie with superheroes in it.

Paraphrasing a bit from Crimson Peak there.

he killed the shit out of them for fucking with his limo and selling drugs

Logan is our guy

He didn't kill enough

>marvel
Fox
Not Marvel
Marvel hates these movies and are trying to downplay the X-Men and replace them in the comics simply because they don't have the rights

But he had no problem offing those bad hombres

They made X-23 a Mexican guys....

Imagine being triggered by everything

Technically Canadian/Mexican...got Logan's DNA.

Also, the actress is actually a Spaniard.

>X-23 is a clone-daughter of Wolverine.

So Logan is Mexican?

5 seconds in google would tell you that's an old high German surname.

They impregnate poor colored women with mutant genes, hence why most of them were shitskins

Goddamn watch the movie guys

>Bad guys get Wolverine DNA
>Bad guys inject poor Mexican women with mutant DNA
>Mexican women give birth to new mutants

so, getting triggered is a problem of modern young americans, not just modern young american leftists?

Marvels actual comics are complete dogshit, they are fucking tanking. Trust me when I say even the worst capeshit film is better than the pathetic garbage they push out as "comic books". They do not matter in the slightest, they do not pull in 1% of what these movies are making. Not denying the mouse wouldn't love to get his grubby hands on the X-Men.

So, they changed the origin of X-23? Is Sabertooth still Logan's father? I haven't really kept up with this shit sine the early 1990s.

You can't tell the difference between shitposting on an anime image board and
asking people to leave "trigger warnings" on their posts so you don't start hyperventilating? Do you have some form of autism?

Not really, she is still a clone of Logan. Just baked in cheap Mexican oven.

>show off girl wolverines food claws
>never use them again

they changed it a little bit and made x-24 a literal adult male clone of logan while x-23 was his genetic daughter birthed by a mexican

she used them at the end when she pounced off wolverine's back

foot*

Good thing you corrected this because I haven't seen it yet and was getting that look.

Sabertooth is Logan's brother I believe.

>movie has a little girl getting shot with a harpoon

I like how this movie wears it R rating on sleeve.

>tfw they never resolved any of the plotpoints except getting laura to the border

Yeah the gore and fight scenes were pretty gud. Best scene was the first x-24 fight, him and Logan just tearing each other apart was great, lived how he was just prime wolverine on adrenaline.

The details are mostly the same in intent/tone while the specifics are different.

Laura is technically not X-23 as such - "X-23" is an entire batch of mutants created from different mutants genetic material implanted into a host mothers. Laura's mother isn't Sarah Kinney or a person working on the project, she's unknown.

Funnily enough Laura is specifically listed as X-23-23. The standard things like her being made to be a weapon, had her claws coated with Adamantium, etc. still apply.

The X-23 line was considered a failure and all the mutants it created ordered to be terminated because while they assumed children would be easy to program as amoral killers, it didn't work. The kids didn't want to hurt people, rebelled, etc.

They replace it with X-24

So why did the bullet kill X-24?
It fucking brained the dude.

In Origins, Logan gets shot in the head 3 times with the same adamantium bullets and they didn't even pierce his skull at point-blank range.

Origins never happened

Origins was non-canon before they even retconned anything in DoFP

In The Wolverine they acknowledge Origins as canon.
Also Deadpool references it many times.

Digits of truth

Why were the X-Men comics a thing in this movie universe?

That's like asking why are there WW2 movies a thing in this universe?

Dude 4th wall break lmao

>Why are there comics about the Vietnam War
>Why are there comics about WW2

same shit

Logan is imagining everything.

This joint was absolute, unironic capekino.

Yo wtf was that one girls power to delete you using twigs?

What was Biggie Smalls doing with the mutants?

Comics:
X-23 was born in the Weapon-X program and a female doctor was forced to give birth to her.
Sabretooth and Logan aren't closely related. Common ancestry defintely considering how one of Logan's kids came out, but not brother or father. Dog Logan, pic-related, is Logan's half-brother, isn't a mutant. He got his hands on some time-crystals and continued to hunt him until he got over that.

Movie:
X-23's origin didn't go through many changes, just replace Weapon X with whatever that corporation is, throwout her family in Texas, and ignore her past as a prostitute and her pimp Zebra Daddy.
Sabretooth and Dog are the same person.

Haven't seen the movie yet

who is x-24 and how awesome is he?

Weird ass lanky white girl got the worst power

Logan's clone, he didn't have a childhood because he grown in a lab and came out a man.

X-24 is a direct clone of Logan instead of how the X-23 types were actual children created from mutant DNA and not clones. He's a younger Logan with basically nothing but his savage instincts

>X in blood on Logan's forehead after his fight with X-24
>Logan wears white while X-24 wears black

It's like poetry it rhymes

Chances Hugh gets a oscar nom next year? This is legit on him and Patrick Stewarts part both for how great they were

Stewart was amazing, he'd undoubtedly deserve the best supporting actor's award, but the kike filled academy usually ignores capeshit

"We will breed, torture, maim, kill, hunt down and kidnap mutants, but don't you dare cross that unguarded Canadian border"

Retarded

>Implying you would want to take on Alpha Flight.

I got in to the movie late, saw from when he was driving the bachelors chanting "USA", how does the movie start? Is there an action scene showing why he's standing at the mirror pushing out bullets?

>That first shot of him rambling to himself rolling all around the room
My god hes great

There was a group on the Canadian side of the border waiting for the mutant kids. That's who they were talking to on the radio.

The armed merc cyborgs (reavers) could not enter into canada to get them if they made it across. They only had jurisdiction in Mexico and the USA.

Speaking of the reavers, they were a lot less cybernetic than I was expecting. Pierce in the comics was full cyborg, as were half of his men. In the movie they just looked like war amputees with a prosthetic limb here and there.

Some cholos try to steal stuff from his limo, the thing that helps him get money for xavier's meds, he tries to warn them but the spic shots him in cold blood, he gets mad and slaughters them.

Yeah before that he wakes up in the limo, and some mexican cholos are trying to dismember his car, and he gets shot but then cuts 90% of them into pieces, literally

>the US and Mexico allow the murder of illegal immigrants if the military industrial complex says so
>Canada won't

It's almost like there's a political subtext here that you're missing

I know. And I liked it.

She's gonna be a foxy tomboy once she's in her 20s, I guarantee you

Someone fill me in with the Deadpool cameo? Missed it.

So how did everyone feel about The Deadpool scene in the beginning? Thought it was pretty good and a good tune-up for a depressing ass movie

>Also Deadpool references it many times
Yes, to make fun over how shit it was.

I don't think he is dead. When the other kids get there his body isn't on the ground. Maybe he's still alive but his programming got washed away when he got shot.

Pretty much just a mid-length Deadpool 2 teaser where they parody Superman. They actually got the Superman theme in there too. He makes a joke about how Wolverine wouldn't have had to change costumes if he were there.

It was more than that. The mexican police literally worked for the company. Those were mexican federal police serving as the minions in that first battle, and they took orders from Peirce.

In America the CIA and American soldiers also answered to that same corportation (Pierces boss was in charge).

In this future mexico was like the 51st state. American special interests had total control over both countries.

You what?

there was no deadpool scene, it was just him killing a bunch of cholos

No. She's gonna be a good wife on her mid 20's

They would allow it. Weapon X is a Canadian program in the first place.

Yeah there was before the movie started after the trailers ended. He saw some homeless dude about to get shot, ran into a phonebooth to change into his suit, got bare ass naked, and the homeless dude dies while he is changing. Then he goes over and takes his food.

>Someone fill me in with the Deadpool cameo? Missed it.

It was like a deadpool mini-movie, only it took place in pseudo-1980s NYC for some reason. The cars, garbage truck, and phone booth were very dated and deadpool is making fun of this.

You missed it so.

Or at least it wasn't shown to you.

It was out of place and not very funny.

See These^

Yea, that wasn't shown in my screening.

In my showing there was a short skit right before the movie where Deadpool is going to see Logan (as in the movie) and fails to save a guy getting mugged.

>It was out of place

It played before the fox logo came up. It wasn't part of the movie.

I was at IMAX so maybe it was only in those theaters, anyone confirm this?

The Deadpool thing was definitely US-only as well, they didn't add it over here

I saw it at a normal theater. Audience cheered out loud when deadpool first apeared, and cheered again at the naked ass shot, and cheered again when the deadpool thing ended.

Also people yelled out "YEAAAAA!" when the graffiti said "nathan summers is cumming". That is not a typo buy the way.

I saw it in a regular theater and it was there.

I feel this was the best comic book movie since The Dark Knight. Nothing but this came close to it.

Any one agree?

Third act with the colored mutant kids was horrible, so no, winter soldier was better

Yea the third act was a mess.

Middle part with Xavier road trip was best. This could be a best supporting actor nod for Stewart.

> (you)

Anyone else felt the last battle was kinda rushed? I just wish we'd see more of the Logan go berserk
it appears so

so where the fuck are the rest of the xmen? did charles accidentally kill them all during a seizure?

They said he did multiple times. Are you retarded?

>>tfw they never resolved any of the plotpoints

The wrapped it up rather well.

>They explained how the x-men died
>They explained why no more mutants were being born anymore
>They explained how the artificial mutants were created
>they explained the meaning of the comic book
>they explained why logan was keeping professor x heavily drugged up and confused

It's implied on the radio after the Oklahoma city incident. They blatantly say that it was similar to the Westchester incident where multiple humans and mutants died.

How did people fucking like this?

A fucking Wolverine clone? Really?

I nearly pissed laughing at Professor X's death, that clone plot was so fucking stupid

okay but what about the rest of them, like the ones in india or china or russia or whatever, just the mutants everywhere else. and why did they stop being born?

The radio said 7 mutants to be specific.

How buff is Jackedman in this?

Yes. After the casino incident, the news report on the radio they're listening to in the car says something along he lines of "reports estimate 400 wounded, in almost the same circumstances as the incident in Westchester a year a go that wounded 600, and killed 7 members of the X-" before Logan switches it off

Pierce also mentions at one point how Xavier has officially been designated a weapon of mass destruction.
