But jaws was terrible.

I still haven't seen the memefather

that's a big list

>TDK #15

Nice

Then your father failed his duty to protect his family.

>Ocean's Eleven

Stopped reading

The Phantom Menace being on there must have been someone's joke in the polling. There are hundreds of better received and more important movies than freaking episode 1. And i like that movie!

There's the entire Spielberg/Lucas filmography in that list. It's a joke. Probably made by retards born in the 80's.

this list is just awful

I'm not sure I agree with their Top 10 pics. Here they are in case anyone is interested.

10. Glitter
9. Alice and Wonderland
8. Spring Breakers
7. Waterworld
6. The Last Action Hero
5. Showgirls
4. Ghostbusters (2016)
3. The Smurfs 2
2. Click
1. Fast and the Furious 7

>TDK above 2001

Don't you remember the 80s though?

>No Michael Clayton
>The Silence Of The Lambs that low
Shit list.

For you.

>350- Planet of the Apes
>340- High and Low
>330- Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

I'm just gonna end it there. This list is wat too fucking enormous and it's easy to massively misplace a movie.

Wait really concerns me though is how much I accept their choice of the 2nd best movie ever: Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Read Review.

>3. Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

the list is so huge it's completely meaningless. I mean Star Wars Episode I is on there for christ's sake.

>Raging Bull
>that much better than Lawrence Of Arabia
>No Silence...
These are the professionals talking, folks.

How can Empire put Star Wars above David Lean?

That's why you need to stick to Sup Forums lists, they get right to the point with accurate recommendations.

>Antonioni's highest placed film is in #286
Lmao, dropped

yeah desu i don't give a fuck what empire readers think

>empireonline.com/movies/features/500-greatest-movies/
Yeah... no, 5 movies in top 10 have no business in being even in top 100.

Amazingly, Attack of the Clones didn't make it on there but the Original Trilogy and I and III did.

>L’Avventura and Solaris placed below Godfather III and Animal House

Seems like a shit list to me.

>496. Superman Returns (2006)
>463. Juno (2007)
>453. Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (2008)
>449. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
>361. Clerks (1994)
>337. 300 (2006)
>330. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith (2005)
>309. Transformers (2007)
>226. Romeo + Juliet (1996)
>188. School Of Rock (2003)
>113. Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy (2004)
>53. Donnie Darko (2001)

There was a smurfs 2?

Also I kind of liked click (not enough to put it in a top 10 though)

>Big Lebowski at 43

Jesus fucking christ.

Yeah it is 300 at best.

>Ingmar Bergmans highest rated at rank 300
>PTA at tank 89 with magnolia, 3 his movies included in the list but none of them The Master
>Eisenstein @ 313 with Battleship Potemkin
>Antonioni @ 286
>Only M from Fritz Lang and its fucking rank 212
>John Hustons "best" only @ 74

And those are just the ones that immediately triggered me, truly one of the worst top anything lists ive seen.

I've no clue what empireonline is but it's a rag full of plens

>380. Children Of Men
>370. Rocky
>366. Predator
>350. Planet Of The Apes

>337. 300

>332. Sixth Sense
>331. Green Mile

>330. Revenge of the Sith

>320. Braveheart
>316. Trainspotting
>311. American History X

>309. Transformers

kek

that list is awful

it's blatantly obvious they cared more about the top 10-20 or so, the rest are just sort of shuffled together almost randomly

Wow, it's like something from some ignorant 90s born faggot.

>the crappy 07 Sweeny Todd and not the much better Angela Lansbury one

a literal fucking retard right here

You mean awfully good for patricians.

Why is Fantastic Four listed three times?

>2. Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981)

how is empire still in business? who actually buys this useless crap? everything they publish can be found online, in more detail, for free. they never have real exclusives or even mildly interesting content. it's honestly baffling

Terrible list.
But I am actually curious, do people really rate Maltese falcon above Out of the past or the Big Sleep? I know it's the most classic from all noirs, but not the best IMHO.

what a shit list, the ranking is all fucked up

>49. Evil Dead 2 (1987)
oh come on, this shouldn't even be on the list

fucking terrible shit list

>RotLA, Empire Strikes Back, TDK, Pulp Fiction in TOP 15
I truly have no words

Made by the boomers who made the films, the same ones who fill the shitty rolling stone 500 with music from the 60s and soft rock from the 70s

You shut the fuck up, it should be even higher.

1. Evil Dead 2 (1987)
2. Citizen Kane (1941)
3. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
...

yeah, they should fill it with 90s puke and nicki minaj instead

You must not keep up with these kinds of lists. Empire is always up there with Jaws and Citizen Kane. It's been that way for decades.

Do it. It's so fucking great in every possible category, Diane Keaton being the weakest point in the movie says a bit, and she even improves in the equally/better sequel.
You won't regret it user.

Jesus Christ, is it a poll? That explains why it's so shit

good to see that no one is complaining about the godfather being number 1.

The brief list of films worse than Fight Club:

>Citizen Kane
>Vertigo
>Rear Window
>The Searchers
>Casablanca
>Battleship Potemkin
>2001: A Space Odyssey
>Persona
>The Seventh Seal
>The Battle of Algiers
>The Treasure of Sierra Madre
>The French Connection
>M
>Bicycle Thieves
>La Dolce Vita
>Tokyo Story
>The Wizard of Oz
>High Noon
>The Manchurian Candidate
>Ran
>The Wild Bunch
>The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
>Seven Samurai
>The 400 Blows
>Spirited Away
>Breathless
>Silence of the Lambs
>Stalker
>Blue Velvet
>The Maltese Falcon
>Three Colors
>Night of the Hunter
>The Third Man
>8 1/2

That's not Godfather Pt. 2.

She drags the movie down so much. And no her acting isn't even really that bad, considering her character is a loathsome piece of shit who cannot be done justice anyway.

stop this meme

It's a meme, but its also fact.

>Michael Clayton
>that scene when Tom Wilkinson is ambushed outside his loft, stunned, forcibly inhales something that paralyzes him and is dragged into the bathroom before something else is injected into his foot
>two cleaners stage the scene making jokes and timing themselves during the whole operation

coldest fucking scene, thats how the elite take out their enemies, whoever shot that shit and put it in the movie has balls

>498. Back To The Future Part II (1989)
hahahahahahahahahahaha

>top 500
>doesn't include The General

I thought silent movies were all boring shit until I saw this. It's genuinely funny and visually spectacular. Buster Keaton is one of the all time great physical comics. Empire readers are plebs.

But it's the best of the trilogy.

>The Godfather over Part 2
