Watching Ken Burns Vietnam documentary, quite proud the kind of shit my country on both sides did to resist americans/french. absolute feats of cooperation with women joining in to fight a war, hundreds of thousands of men and women working together to kick out the invaders, build and repair trails and roadways that get bombed daily, etc.
battles with zero arties and air forces and absolutely stacked against you, but clever enough to get near americans and destroy them/using tactics to counter american tech. transporting arties through a jungle to decimate an entire french army at dien bien phu. one woman massacring an entire squad of americans after losing 4 brothers fighting the french then 4 fighting the americans.
the resistance to americans/french should be remembered as one of the greatest feats in history by an underdog.
