This was one of the best capeshit movies in forever
But the real question is
WHY THE FUCK WAS THERE NO AFTER CREDITS SCENE? I WANTED TO SEE MY X 23 MOVIE PREVIEW
This was one of the best capeshit movies in forever
But the real question is
WHY THE FUCK WAS THERE NO AFTER CREDITS SCENE? I WANTED TO SEE MY X 23 MOVIE PREVIEW
I believe that it didn't need one. I percieved it as the end of the X-men movies, as wolverine has practically been the backbone for the series.
They want to avoid the stigma of capeshit always setting up sequels and instead tried to make a movie who could stand and end on its own.
>after credits scene
because it was supposed to be a somber bleak movie, they did have wolverine's hand pop out of the grave Friday the 13th style either.
People like you are the same idiots that miss the point of Leon and want Portman to become an assassin.
Because it wasn't a capeshit
>X23 movie
So she would be still small right? Her bones were made out of adamatium so technically she wont grow. I mean her skin will. She'd look hilarious.
It is shown in the same fucking movie that only her claws were coated with adamantum
I would LOVE an X-23 movie. Has to be the same actress tho
what that doesn't make any sense
Whats not to get? Her claws were coated in adamantum, her skeleton werent
Yeah, that 'X' at the end really felt like and ending. I don't know where they can go from this movie, desu
A real movie wouldn't do that
The first part was. As soon as they left the farm it went downhill fast.
so she's easy to kill
That's because the kids were incredibly annoying
Charles Xavier and Logan's interactions were entertaining, but once they had all those weird neo-x men it got pretty boring
Will loli wolverine be in next movie? Or will she aged UP?
Her regeneration power is much more powerful than Logan's because she's not being poisoned by as much Adamantium.
She will still regenerate her wounds
Next X-Men movie probably isn't till like 2019. If there was an X-23 stand alone movie it'd be after 2020. Either way they'll stick with her.
The Deadpool teaser was originally the mid-credits scene, but after Thursday screenings it was deemed "tasteless" so they just put it at the front.
Movie took a hard dive after 23 takes the wheel.
Who else thinks that Deadpool 2 will serve as a way to reboot their universe? Cable will arrive from Logan's timeline and change it.
Eh it would have been fine for about 50% of the audience at the end. They're too dumb to know any better.
>mfw Huge Axeman runs out of money and degrades himself for more Wolverine appearances
so is this just the last of us x man edition?
...
Nah, he'll just go sing on Broadway.
That makes for a horrible fate if she ever gets captured. Remove the claws, then break her.
Not really. The tone isn't even very similar because the characters are different, even if the relationship is the same.
I was genuinely worried that Logan would be about the Legacy virus and X-23 would be Anakin Skywalker. God TLoU was so horrible.
Why the fuck did the kids not just kill everyone in the beginning with their crazy mutant powers? Why the fuck were they running when x23 herself could have killed all of them by herself, not to mention all the other mutant kids with her?
Daily reminder to all you footfags, X-23 has feetclaws.
Teach her kick boxing and capoeira.
A drone delivered the script to them.
X-23 is an illegal immigrant, right?
capoeira is fucking useless
Doesn't matter. The acrobatics that teaches her would make for good film.
it's okay her feet were still cute, well worth the risk
I was thinking this the entire time while I watched
I've not watched any of the previous DCU or Marvel films and was hoping this would be a standalone film. It's not. Pickard's character seemed interesting but a lot of things didn't make any sense. Ended up walking out halfway through it.
>the capstone to a series of six movies isn't a a standalone.
m8
Clearly a terrorist being hunted by authorities who merely want order and everything to be great. Yet people still like this film..?
autist
Six, really? Who's got time to watch all that?
I'm giving it 2 stars on IMDB and a few comments about the poor score and cinematography.
>MUH LITTLE GIRL
>MUH HERO OLD MAN KILLS HIMSELF TO SAVE LITTLE GIRL
>10000000000/10 at the box office ROLLING STONES RAVES CAPEKINO IS HERE!!!
I hate this planet almost as much as I hate x-men
>Ended up walking out halfway through it
Why do Americans do this?
go back to watching Avengers on repeat, you fucking quip whore
If Wolverine didn't have the metal in his bones he would still look 20.
He has a omega level healing, its the only reason he didn't die from poisoning.
And unless they changed the rules on me once again omega is about the highest level mutant can go.
The fact you just asked that shows me how fucking new you are.
Wolverine and Deadpool movie would be the only acceptable appearance at this point
No shit. That's what happened to Logan in Origins which pushed him to go through with the adamantium tests done to kill sabertooth
>Why the fuck did the kids not just kill everyone in the beginning with their crazy mutant powers?
Because they're kids and adults are scary
I have never seen one person in my life walk out of a movie, but I always hear about every other person say they did.
>He has a omega level healing
That's actually not a thing. That aside, in the movie his healing got fucked because of the chemicals in the food and water that was supressing the X-gene. That's the only reason why the Adamantium started poisoning him.
They put the After Credit scene before the movie, It meant to be the Deadpool thingy. But imagine that playing after this movie
It wouldn't be the right emotion
Was anyone else disappointed in the ending? It feels like they ran out of time/resources and just cut the story.
I am fine with Logan dying, but his death meant nothing and happened for no reason other than to end his story. He never found peace, and he didn't even sacrifice himself for anything. He straight up just got killed. It wouldn't have been too different if he got killed by the gangsters at the start of the movie, since his character went through zero change in the movie.
>his healing got fucked because of the chemicals in the food and water that was suppressing the X-gene
I thought the new food and water just prevented new mutants from being born, while Logan's poisoning was a result of his healing factor weakening with advanced age.
>his character went through zero change in the movie.
he did a 180 from not caring about Laura to calling her his daughter.
He sacrificed himself by going into the woods in the first place, after pumping himself with the chemical he knew would probably kill him later.
>That's actually not a thing.
This is why I think the movies are better in a way.
There isn't any power level bullshit.
Jesus son, that's the fucking point, he is a wandering samurai who will never find peace with the beast inside of him. Death is his end, its the only end he has.
Are you too daft that you misunderstand that character on such a fundamental level.
Rice said it was essentially gene therapy and compared it to a vaccine. Mutants would eventually start to lose their powers if they keep consuming the spiked food and water.
Except all he did in the forest was kill a few goons and the scientist. All the kids stood by and watched as X24 impaled him, when they were just previously seen teaming up to fucking annihilate someone with ease. He still didn't find peace with himself and his end didn't fulfill anything.
I was talking about torture, user. Since she regenerates, she could be tortured for years without dying, and to worse extremes than most can go without killing their victims.
>implying the truck with the mounted gun wouldn't have fucked all of them up except Laura
>implying X-24 wouldn't have killed Laura eventually
I say this in every thread. No. No it wasn't. If you're so autistic that you absolutely have to compare everything you watch to something else compare it to the rover. Post apocalyptic world, main character is a tragic character that just wants death but has shit to do first, taking care of someone that would have absolutely no chance in the world they're living in without him. It's very similar but at the same time very different.
This and Last of us ripped the whole Wolverine/Rogue story so baddly the girl looked like Rogue.
But you have to forgive the poor sonigger, he is too lame to understand they are the rip off.
I walked out of Borne 2016 because I fell asleep twice in the first 45minutes.
She actually looked like Kitty, but never mind that.
I was slightly disappointed in the "change" aspect and kind of agree about Logan not changing. I thought here could have been more convincing scenes that really sold Logan thinking of Laura as his daughter. Basically more bonding and cute. Also he shouldn't have been so much as angsty And angry as he was in the movie, he also should have been more at peace with his death, and a lot of the things Xavier told him he should have already figured out for himself. All of that , coupled with not seemingly trying so hard to make him as sad/depressed/angry, would really have sold the "You should take a moment feel it" scene and the ending for me
>Still thinking in terms of "continuity" and "cinematic universe"
They can make another Wolverine film with somebody else and as long as it's a good story then it doesn't actually matter where it fits on some timeline. I really hope this is the beginning of de-cinematic universifying films.
How are they going to explain x-23 growing up with the adamantium skeleton, wouldnt the rest of her organs start to outgrow her bones
I'm glad you wasted your time pretentiously expecting another shit movie.
Where the fuck is the cam version I wanna see the opening scene again
Jesus christ. Did you watch the movie?
Only her claws are of adamantium. The rest is normal bones
Hey buddy, I could care less about some wolfman movie making sense.
>after credit scene
So after 2 hours of kino, you want them to make the movie into a joke?
Moral of the story: You live by the sword, you die by the sword.
Yes, that's why the blonde guy named Donald hunts her down.
but how do you remove claws that grow back?
Movie of the year
*Also didn't add that another aspect that would have sold both scences would potentially be Gabriella being seen explaining to Laura on screen who her "dad" was if she ever asked or just at least to tell her about Logan initially. I know by Laura pretty much new she was lab rat test tube baby grown in some Mexican lady's womb but if done right it could be good. She could even have used the comic book in the explanation to further imprint how deep Laura viewed Logan as a father figure and why she was so potentially more attached to the comic, besides just a seemingly basic attachment to Logan/Wolverine, or Eden or just liking it. -Logan's not just her "dad" but THE guy from the comics, who loves her and/or was going to save her and give her a happy family and life and all this reinforced by Gabriella that would heighten Laura's expectations to what Logan should have been, and later her disappointment toward who Logan turned out to be
Decent movie. Awesome fight scenes. The movie dragged big time in the middle and got pretty fucking boring. I dont get all the hype though. The kids shouldve used their powers more against dudes with guns. Makes little sense.
Still you paid money for it.
sunk cost fallacy
For your information, the girl I was thinking of courting paid me in.
I left her and her lousy film choice behind and didn't look back.
How did they handle the scene where Hulk eats him and he bursts out of his stomach?
>a lot of things didn't make any sense
Like what?
Not if you have a fucking knife coming out of your foot.
This was the ninth. Tenth if you include Deadpool
...
The next movie is probably going to ne a New Mutants movie involving the kids being trained by Alpha Flight up in Canada.
It'll be nice to see Laura make a costume to tribute her father's costume from the comics she grew up reading. Which is actually a well written way to include the wolverine costume
All this talk about Logan being capekino
We all know what the true capekino is
Lego Batman
>things that totally happened
2020 : Logan 2 - Old man Logan
2023 : Logan 3 - Travels back in time to the Macavoy X-Men era to be Old Man Wolverine.
2026 : Logan 4 - Back to the Wastelands
Did anyone else think that the villain was definitely the weakest spot in the movie? He feels underwritten and the little info we get on his motivations just paint him as Generic Evil Cientist Man #23132416845.
I'd like to see some kind of cameo that happens between the escape from the Weapon X facility in Apocalypse in the 1980s, and when he shows up in West Chester presumably around the same time as X1. Personally I think they're going the comic book route and having him help out Alpha Flight and the Canadian government sometime between those times.
It was boring as fuck.
is there a post creddit scene?
Don't worry next Marvel flick is coming soon
No. It's an actual film
Your right, but still Logan had more adoptive children then every Hollywood celebrity combined.
Id be fine with her just being the new Wolverine in the movies if they get a good actress who do Laura well,
It was shit though
Even if they get the same girl in a few years and we get to see her grow up in the films. She was what, eleven in this? Give her 4 years and we'll see her training more and dealing with controlling her anger while fighting, then again in a few more years.
I enjoyed how they let Wolverine gp out with a bang and with an homage to "Shane". Well done and smart way of writing Logan's death into film. Plus, at this point in Logan's life, he's physically 190 years old, but emotionally he's closer to 250 and has watched his closest friends die numerous times.
