>30 years old, never had any subscription (or "cable" or whatever the fuck Amerifats call it) television service before >Since P2P and then torrenting became prevalent, I've pretty much always pirated shit (I personally see nothing unethical about the act of digital piracy, debate me faggots) >Unless your'e some private tracker basement NEET who has access to some exclusive Tumblr club where people exchange extremely high quality torrents of films and shows, then you're pretty much fucked and have to simply hope the technical info given on the torrent is correct, or that they bothered to include a sample >Have to track down subtitles for the movie >Have to explain to dates what this shit is, and you always get the "is this nigga serious" look like you just showed her your animoo hot glue figurine collection
>Buy new TV, one of those smart ones >See Netflix on the app list, notice they give you the first month for trial so give it a go >It's $15 AUD per month for the 4K subscription, no stupid add-on packs needed for documentaries etc, flat fee for everything you want >All the movies/TV shows/documentaries etc are streamed in 4K unless they simply aren't available on the market at that resolution, in which case they will be streamed at the highest and cleanest possible presentation >All the movies have multitude of voice tracks, subtitles, etc build right into each movie >Legitimately surprised Sup Forums shits on this service considering how Jew-free their prices actually are for what they give you
What exactly is wrong with services like Netflix and Crackle etc? Why does Sup Forums have such a hate boner for these things? Normally I'm a Jew cunt when it comes to paying for anything online, but it's $15 a month for an absolute world of convenience and to not have to have people look at you like you're a cheap piece of shit. If it was like $40 a month I'd see the problem, but does no one remember when Blockbuster would charge you $6 for a single night's new release?
You can't post that long of a post with that webm, what's the story behind the webm and holy fuck that must be so painful
Aiden Green
no thankfully he was the one holding the axe.
Benjamin Roberts
Netflix used to be better, but now they have to compete for content with other streaming services. I actually like Netflix, and I think people do judge you for being a cheap piece of shit if you just pirate everything.
Eli Mitchell
Retard
Brody Allen
The axe actually landed on his inner right thigh. It probably still hurt, but not as much if it happened to crush his dick.
Logan Price
Torrenting is fine if you're a NEETcuck who doesn't have any friends/never leaves the house
But if you're a real human bean and you work/have a social life then torrenting is fucking embarrassing.
Zachary King
??
I can see he is holding it with the sharp side towards himself, but that is still a steel axe being swung by a grown man trying to break a stack of bricks hitting your crotch.
well i live in Canada and subscribe to something called CraveTV, and it's better than netflix in terms of television shows.
Lucas Bennett
Jesus fucking Christ
Why oh why would you do this
Colton Bennett
>not just having a huge list of movies all ready to go on your PC thats hooked up to your tv.
if she likes you enough, she'll wait the 20 seconds it takes to start up the movie.
pro tip: it doesnt matter what you're watching, shes there for sex.
Chase Perry
>Unless your'e some private tracker basement NEET who has access to some exclusive Tumblr club where people exchange extremely high quality torrents of films and shows, then you're pretty much fucked and have to simply hope the technical info given on the torrent is correct, or that they bothered to include a sample
Simply not true anymore, almost everything on private trackers when it comes to mainstream stuff. Unless you are downloading obscure material or very old material, there is no need for a private tracker for "quality". Private trackers have other uses beyond quality though, but for 95% of people their worth died around 2010.
>Have to track down subtitles for the movie
You can use MPC-HC , press D and it will instantly list, download and apply whatever language you selected within MPC.
>Have to explain to dates what this shit is, and you always get the "is this nigga serious" look like you just showed her your animoo hot glue figurine collection
If you are dating someone who can't understand the concept of a video file, the problem is with you, not torrenting.
pic related is from a popular public tracker
Isaac Bailey
netflix is great if you love 99% straight to dvd quality garbage
Thomas Nguyen
TAKING IT LIKE A CHAMP
Brody Wilson
*almost everything is on public trackers when
Eli Thompson
Netflix its ok if you don't actually care about the medium and are happy with mostly mainstream shit for bored housewives.
James Gray
I autisticaly enjoy downloading and curating my own collection
also half the shit on Netflix etc. is pleb as fuck
Austin Reed
>But if you're a real human bean and you work/have a social life then torrenting is fucking embarrassing. Not completely. It really depends on what you torrent.
Angel Wilson
There's nothing wrong with Netflix. But consuming your media exclusively from Netflix is what people have a problem with
Xavier Hall
so if you have money you should buy a shit service?
seriously? these are the only movies they have? fuck you
Camden Evans
>collecting digital data well at least you admit it's autism. good on ya.
Andrew Stewart
>renting and never owning waste of money user.
Jayden Ortiz
Canada fag here. I have Netflix, but I kind of hate it because due to liscencing shit we only have like half of what American Netlifx gets.
>search for TV show >it shows up >sorry TV show is unavailable, but heres some shitty suggestions for similar shows
Aiden Turner
>night's new release?
Stopped reading here
Tyler Flores
how the fuck does it make you a basement dwelling NEET to use a private tracker, you sperglord?
what, you think getting something quickly in 720p makes you some beasement dweller?
sounds like you're a jealous public tracker user
Charles Martinez
are there fucking spikes underneath the board?
Parker Reyes
>Torrenting is fine if you're a NEETcuck who doesn't have any friends/never leaves the house Yeah because just leaving the torrent running while you go out its so hard. Just admit that you're too dumb to use it
Adam Thomas
holy shit did he died.
Alexander Howard
how the fuck do you think torrenting is only for NEETs?
it makes you a NEET if you can get a newly released TV show right after it airs rather than waiting months for it to appear on a streaming site? it makes you a NEET if you happen to get something hours before it airs in your timezoen?
seriously, what the fuck ins wrong with you people on here. is this a meme?
Jose Rivera
Feel free to give them your money, I'm keeping mine.
Blake Hughes
>is this a meme? yes. its a bait thread, or a very naive OP.
Samuel Ramirez
Why do some people have such a hard time understanding how torrent works?
Julian Jenkins
Yes. Did you never take grade school science? It's a demonstration of force being distributed over the entire surface area thus reducing the overall pressure exerted to lower than what it would take for the nails to pierce the skin.
Jacob Carter
>don't have cable subscription >belong to BTN, which allows me to get the new TV show releases quickly and 2-3 hours early because I am in california >have firetv so i can stream the torrent to my TV
>apparently on Sup Forums belonging to a private tracker or torrenting at all makes you a "basement dwelling NEET autist"
How exactly do "normal" young people who don't have cable subscriptions watch new TV shows?
Camden Ortiz
>Have to explain to dates what this shit is, and you always get the "is this nigga serious" look like you just showed her your animoo hot glue figurine collection What, why? Just play the movie, chicks don't give a fuck where you get it. They were just bored by your explanation.
There's nothing really wrong with Netflix and the like but their selection is limited and constantly changes, torrents allow you access to a load of stuff you might never see otherwise. Plus it's free.
Hudson Gutierrez
A lot of people I know think that all torrents have virus attached to them or they just simply fail to understand what seeders and leechers are
Joseph Harris
>the "is this nigga serious" look like you just showed her your animoo hot glue figurine collection
???
Luke Wright
I watch shitty Russia site streams
Thomas Gray
This is the worst.
Jonathan Hernandez
They think it's the hipster equivalent of KaZaA or what have you P2P shit from back in the day.
Parker Diaz
I will admit that there is a lot of autism when it comes to private torrent trackers. From Sup Forums's general thread, to reddit's trackers board, to a lot of private trackers that always talk about their "community", it is pretty cringeworthy.
For the most part, I avoid the communities there and just use private trackers as a way to not have to pay for cable and get the shows I want to watch, or old seasons of TV shows not around on streaming sites, in good quality, pretty quickly, and hours earlier than it would air for me with commercials already removed.
And "normies" don't think you're autistic if you use torrents. I remember when I was in college when I would be able to get DVD Screeners of movies or Blurays released really early, people would ask how the hell I got them
t. BTN, PTP and Empornium user
Cameron Jones
They keep a token nerd around for that shit
Robert Bell
How pathetically normie is this board that people would rather pay money to a mediocre service than just torrent shit themselves. Embarrassing!
William Parker
I've got a custom media pc and use private trackers. Visitors get the fire tv.
Brody Torres
...
Tyler Wilson
>going on a website, searching what you want, clicking the download button, and clicking on the file when it's done needs you to be a nerd to do
i find it hard to believe that only "le nerds XD" know what torrents are
are you from the big bang theory or something? knowing how to use instagram and snapchat are more difficult to learn to use than torrents
Ayden Ross
you don't know what he's talking about? its kind of stupid anyway.
Christian Lopez
>streaming "4k" >getting incorrect and lesser version of media due to licencing issues
netflix a shit
Lincoln Morales
>netflix >not blockblister
Jeremiah Rivera
>paying for media lamooo
Kevin Martin

Brayden Hughes
They almost never have anything good and when they do it eventually rotates out and you can't access it. You like every goddamn cable TV show ever, regardless of quality? Netflix is great for you. You're trying to find anything in particular, especially movies outside the mainstream and/or with cult followings? It's dogshit. I tried to find more than twenty things last week and literally none of them were available.
Alexander Ward
Sorry I studied something worthwhile and not an Eng Lit major or some other McDonalds burger flipper degree ^_~
Ryan Lee
Stallman is correct about never using netflicks and similar DRM cancer.
Colton Gonzalez
It's a brilliant service, but you'll notice the lack of content rather quickly. Still, for $15, it's hard to beat. Hulu used to be a nice counterpart when they had the Criterion Collection, but they've lost the rights to that recently.
Camden Russell
>white "people" ugh just ugh
Joseph Perez
Seeso and Filmstruck are where you should be spending your money, friend
At least Hulu, anything but Shitflix
Charles Lee
I always torrent music/movies, having local copies streamed over my network is a lot more reliable than streaming it over a internet connection
I manage the network for my parent's house as well as my own, their highest bandwidth usage is streaming and it's over 1TB a month
Leo Nguyen
>search for movie/tv show on netflix >not available for streaming >pay us a extra $10 a month for us to ship you DVD's >good goy
Ian Morris
This. Since they made it difficult to mask my IP, I only subscribe for one month at a time maybe three months out of the year.
I could live with Netflix if they had more classic movies and made it easy to see which movies are expiring soon. These things used to be possible.
Juan Gutierrez
>he doesnt know how to kodi hahahahahahaha
Jason Thompson
>be aussie >stream 4k movie/episode >fill my data cap in 1 day lmao
Cooper Morales
what's a data cap?
Bentley Wright
something monopolies enforce on the goyim because they can
Cooper Cooper
It's fine for dates since women are terribly materialistic. For everything else torrents are the way to go.
Liam Green
4k netflix movies are only about 15GB for 2 or so hours.
Daniel Green
Are you serious? 1080p blurays are like 20gb
Chase Harris
Normalfags don't care about picture quality and want bitrate starved streams
Jonathan King
UK Netflix is fucking shit. There's hardly anything good on there. It was ok when you could change your DNS server to watch other countries libraries but since they blocked that it just isn't worth the money.
Julian Wilson
Legitimate stupid question here, but since this shit is illegal, how on earth do these shows and movies actually get on the internet? Is it people who work at the studio that secret release them or something? Detailed answers preferred, short is also fine though.
Joshua Perez
Someone just records them. That's literally it. For TV Shows they just record it as it comes on and then uploads it.
Henry Baker
I don't even care that much about tv and film yet I've torrented over 3TB worth of shit. How can people in this day and age still not understand how to properly use torrents?
Leo Lewis
>1080p blurays are like 20gb
Just ripped a ton of blurays for a friend, they were all over 30GB.
I don't know why anyone wants 4K streaming when the bitrate is half a 1080p bluray,
Nicholas King
forgive me for asking but what site is this? I don't download much stuff and since the fall of tpb/kat/private tracker i was part of, I don't really know where to find stuff. I go on extratorrents and it's fine but it doesn't really have that much.
William Stewart
>Me in the back
Jordan Foster
are you a moron? honest question?
Isaac Ortiz
try living in Australia, the government owns a pay tv service called foxtel and threatened Netflix if it didn't block its american service from its Australian customers because it was cut into foxtels bottom line. the ceo of foxtel then shat on foxtel customers say they were the problem not the fact that the foxtel paytv model is out of date and shit
Camden Richardson
>You can use MPC-HC , press D and it will instantly list, download and apply whatever language you selected within MPC. >mfw being using MPC-HC for years and didn't know this
Evan Howard
Man. That took me back. Thanks for posting this image.
Christopher Parker
Don't explain anything just pick a movie and put it on. If you're worried about having an "aesthetic" way to pick a movie together then just install plex or something so it can display everything in a netflix-like menu with posters and descriptions. Isn't that literally what it was made for?
Pic is my collection. Started on a 120 gb laptop in 2006 and now is regularly backed up on a 5tb in case this 2tb drive fails. Have another on standby waiting for me to start filling it. I like having a library of movies I know I actually enjoy and would be happy to show someone (almost) any of them.
Adrian James
well, it only works for the popular stuff.
case in point, yesterday I tried it on Master and Commander: The far side of the world, and there wasn't even 1 subtitle in any language.
Aiden Wright
I don't like the feeling of not owning something. I don't like paying for a service that lets me watch streaming content that they could take away at any moment and that is completely reliant on an internet connection.
I'd much rather buy or torrent media and have it on an external hard drive so it lasts forever and I can access it at any time without having to be connected online or to a service. Not that I hate netflix, I see the genius of it, but it's not for me. I don't even watch that much stuff anyways and some of the top shows that netflix supports I really do not want to support in anyway, shows like Girls and other garbage like that.
Levi Bailey
Or someone just buys the dvd or bluray and rips them and converts them to mkv or mp4 and uploads them.
Austin Reed
>Not being on private trackers in 2017
Christopher Rodriguez
What about when people say "its not even out yet" then who was phone?
Colton Price
haha jew shill trying to shift narratives around torrenting now
try again faggot, every normie I know comes to me to learn about torrenting, they love it and are blown away when I show them how easy it is.
Leo Martinez
I think I'm not social enough for this. I don't even know how to get on them, and when by miracle I get on one, I just dl what I want and ruin my ratio.
Aiden Wilson
>australia
Isaiah Adams
very rarely someone who works in a factory will swipe a copy and rip it. Big movies are sometimes sent out to retailers a couple weeks in advance and some stocker steals one. even more rarely someone involved with production will copy it and share it.
remember the unfinished wolverine leak with placeholder cgi shots? or when a whole like half a season of GoT leaked weeks early and we got to spoil everyone? good times
Luke Walker
but user dont you know!
netflix and streaming services are hip now!
get with the program!
Aaron Thomas
rarbg.to is the site
Benjamin Campbell
If no one paid for the (((media))) then they would give it all away anyway. The want you to watch the propaganda much more than get your money.
The already have all the fucking money.
I don't watch any of it.
Juan Mitchell
> Why does Sup Forums have such a hate boner for these things.
Poor, Underage or Sup Forums that are physically incapable of ignoring some of the stupid shit they put out there.
Like shit. Sense8 and that new Dear White People shit is nonsense but 10 bucks gets me more and better entertainment than any 300+ dollar cable package.
Blake Powell
>want to watch a film >not on Netflix
What now?
Easton Cooper
>mfw plebs at work wonder how I'm way richer than they are.
BECAUSE I HAVEN'T -PAID- FOR A MOVIE OR TV SHOW SINCE 2005 YOU FILTHY ANIMALS
Aaron Wood
Who was in the wrong?
Gabriel Williams
>the What did he mean by this?
Luis Reed
After two years of Netflix I just cancelled and I stream all my shit online now. I only watched 1-3 shows at a time and I'd binge watch so there would be weeks were I wouldn't log in. Also they have a terrible movie selection.
