It seems like you're confusing how they justify their activities in public with the actual aims.

As it stands, all "enemies" of the West (i.e. Jews) are major oil-producers. Demolishing oil wealth is how they are destabilizing these "enemies."

The blood for oil meme was close but it is inaccurate. The goal isn't to get oil for "western" countries, it's to ensure oil-based economies collapse.
