Just recently watched this for the first time. Can we have a thread about this spectacular film?

Quads! Wew!
If you liked Leon you will probably like:
>Le Samourai
>The Driver
>Ghost Dog
>The Limits of Control
>Drive
Thanks for the recommendations! I've seen Drive of course (and loved it) but I haven't seen any of the others so I'll look into them.
WITNESSED
Total classic. I need to re-watch it soon. One of those movies where every scene, line of dialogue, performance is spot-on.
I like how this movie makes everyone that watches it realize they're a pedophile.
Nikita as well.
How come people don't use Leon's inverted poster still like OP's pic for dubs?
I wish I knew what this post was trying to say.
Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Ah.
Oldman's best role
the drug scenes are pretty fucking disturbing
I saw it last week and holy shit I agree. I don't understand why but the "love story" was believable and I was emotionally attached. Pissed I didn't know of this sooner
A very solid film but I didn't seem to enjoy it as much as everyone else did. Don't really know why. Still like a 4/5 though.
>Le Samourai
>The Limits of Control
This is a real /hitmancore/ nigga, it checks out.
I would also sugggest:
>replacement killers
>the last contract
>grosse point blank
>ghostdog
Ghost Dog, so good it was suggested twice.
9/10, but that autistic ending brought it down to 6/10.
>autistic ending
Explain instead of throwing around autistic as a buzzword.
Mathilda a qt
Now watch the International version. 100% better.
Also, nice repeating digits
I think he's saying flip the Leon movie poster around and make a "dubs" pic out of it. Meme shit.
That actually was the one I got. I was surprised when I read which scenes weren't in the original version because they seemed pretty important to the film.
>Lolita for adhd kids with bad taste
what?
>everyone
What did he mean by this?
quads confirm for pedokino
It STILL HURTS to read.
Lurk moar
It's boring imho tbqh familia
Other çino?
I don't see any of YOUR films being suggested twice.
Now that we have a mini Hershlag, how long until we get a remake?
This film was so bad and pretentious.
HUH?! Who are you referring to?
>pretentious
That is literally the first time I've ever seen that used as a criticism of this film. Are you sure you watched it?
>pretentious
how?
Hershlag just gave birth to a girl
Why do we call her Hershlag? Isn't that effectively the same thing as using "Drumpf"?
It's her real name and it's cute
Well, I agree about that. It's much better than Portman.
Hershlag > Portman
>çino
What?
trığğerred?
ıt's çino and you şould apply yöürself
No, I'm just trying to figure out what the fuck you're saying.
Well she needs to be 12 for a remake so that's going to take a while.
Not that a remake of this film would ever happen. Liberals and conservatives alike would throw a shitfit.
will she be as attractive as hershlag?
She's got the genes. Could be.
I liked it
didn't she try to fug the main character but he wouldn't do it? that seems unrealistic. a lot of guys will say shit like, "i would never bang a 10/10 17 year old, i'm not a pedo durrp de durp" but they absolutely would.
well he was an aspie and and she was also 12
He didn't seem THAT against the idea. Felt like he was warming up to it towards the end. I speculate that it could have ended up happening if Gary Oldman hadn't killed him.
Leon plays father, son, and lover. But he assumes that latter role only when it is too late. Or, put another way, since the social order of things prohibits him from becoming Mathilda's lover, he gives up his body for her. He sacrifices the material body for the corporeal love that cannot be had. Equally significant, he pulls the plug (the pin of the hand grenade) on his life in exchange for that of Mathilda's. Having acknowledged his love for Mathilda, the only way that love can be sublimated is through death, that is, through a de-phallicising of the masculine body. This notion of the de-phallicised masculine body is in fact a trope of melodrama. The phallus is made safe so that the social order of things remains safe and so that the family does not come under threat...
Besson continues in his description of these two protagonists: "...Elle lui amene la vie. En acceptant, il accepte sa mort. Mourir pour donner la vie. Geometrique et cellulaire." (Roughly, She brings him life. In accepting it, he accepts death. He dies to give life. Geometric and cellular.)
Kinographia pura.
>Being this new
>>>/IMDB/
I watched it because I was told I resemble the main actor a lot
it started off so well, but I felt like the ending kinda slacked
but it's been quite some time since I've seen it, so maybe my judgement would be different today
>I was told I resemble the main actor a lot
Do you?
well, I got a huge jewnose, so I have that going for me I guess
So does Uma Thurman and she's great. I'm sure you'll find love just as Leon did, mon amie.
...
Looks like a potential Oscar winner!
