X-24 should have been Sabretooth

They should've made X-24 into creed, It would have been way more interesting, dynamic and personal.
Prove me wrong.

>Prove me wrong.
Sup Forums movie critics suck ass.

Wouldn't have been able to afford it. Fox execs slashed the budget because of the R rating. Picard and Huge Jackedman both took pay cuts, what makes you think they'd be willing to splurge on Liev Schreiber?

>literally watches his immature bestial doppelganger die
>not absolute pottery

besides Sabertooth since origins was presented as more of a spurned brother who ultimately did care about Logan, and even Mangold said if he had used Sabertooth it would have been to help Logan and Co. rather than hinder

Yeah Liev Schriber is SOOOOOOOOO in demand, the fuck are you smoking?

They obviously avoided bringing back Sabretooth to distance themselves from Wolverine Origins as far as possible

THEY SHOULD HAVE NOT KILL WOLVERINE
THEY SHOULD HAVE NOT KILL PROF X
THEY SHOULD HAVE NOT KILL X-MEN
THEY SHOULD HAVE NOT PROF X MURDER X-MEN
THEY SHOULD HAVE CAMEO STAN LEE

yes, i mad. very.

I agree and I don't.

Having Sabretooth as X-24, Logan's supposed ultimate foil also being the one person to finally put an end to him would have been pottery, it would have been kino, it would have made much more sense, and it would have been more impactful to Logan's end and to the audiences, not only that but it would have also made his arc full circle, Logan has been running from his animal side and theres no better person to remind him of that than Sabretooth.

Having said that, X-24 being a Logan clone made much more sense in context, Sabretooth wouldnt have much of an impact in Logan since his character and their relationship arent that fleshed out, He was stuck in the worst X-men movie possible, and has been ignored from then on, so him suddenly appearing like that would actually make the majority of watching it go "who the hell is this?" instead of "Oh shit tis fuckign Victor!", and X-24 made a metaphorical sense in that Hugh Jackman is both physically and metaphorical putting an end to Logan.

Trust me, friend I maybe the biggest Sabretooth fan there is, I'd post Sabretooth bait threads on Sup Forums and wait for the jetpack quote, and as much as I would love to see Liev as Sabretooth again, with Hugh Jackman screaming for the last time; "VIIICTOOOOOOOOR!" after X-24 kills xavier, Logan worked without him because thats how the X-men universe was shaped since Origins.

Its not Sabretooth or the Actors fault, he was very much willing to reprise, and he was very good to the point of being a fan favorite that Mangold even CONSIDERED putting him in the movie just for the sake of it, but it worked without him. so its okay.

Not saying it wouldnt have been better, because IT WOULD HAVE, but we have to give credit to where its due, Hugh Jackman being X-24 was executed properly

Young sabretooth and young wolverine were soooo hot. I wish they hugged more onscreen. And maybe kiss.

>as far as possible
>Use Adamantum Bullet, a concept introduced in Origins

No they are not. all of the wolverine movies has referenced Origins one way or another

Sabretooth is shit

Thank you for this. You said everything I wanted to say and more. But also
>Logan has been running from his animal side and theres no better person to remind him of that than Sabretooth
Not just that but Logan was nothing more than a little boy when he tasted blood for the first time on this chronology and who was there at the beginning of everything for Logan? Victor. Bringing him back we could have gotten something like a redemption for Sabretooth. Or maybe not, maybe he didn't change at all and Logan is the one who realizes he can change at the end of his life. Or mabye neither of them can change but we end with the sense that X23 still can? Fuck I might be tripping but I just love this brother-versus-brother relationship they have on the first movie so fucking much. Clones are just lame.

There's nothing more dynamic and personal than X-24. The clone represented his feral side, the beast within him. It's his greatest fear and foe.
>Wolverine: Who am I?
>William Stryker: If you knew the kind of person you used to be, the work we did together... People don't change, Wolverine. You were an animal then and you're an animal now. I just gave you claws.
This shit is apparantly beyond Sup Forumsfags who just want as many characters they recognize in there as possible.

Wouldn't have been able to kill Picard so shockingly.

Liev has got bigger things to work on

>Old sabretooth sacrificing himself to save old Logan via hopelessly trying to fight x24
Could have worked

tl;dr
observation: likes to yammer endlessly
conclusion: lonely irl desperate to talk

Just watched X-Men (2000) again recently. Pretty fucken comfy desu.
Man, Hugh Jackman was literally perfect.
And Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan are so cool.
Anna Paquin too damn cute.
Sweet and innocent simple times, before the dark age of Marvel.

Also, how the hell did Magnito know about RougE? Was that ever explained?

>writer and director is mangold
>also wrote and directed girl, interrupted
>also wrote and directed kate & leopold

now i know why logan is a chick flick. writer-director is a girl.

>redeem Victor

If Victor was X-24, and was being brainwashed, or instead they introduced scent triggers that would go mutants like Victor, X23 Logan berzerk to aim them to kill people, it could be that Victor is winning the fight with Logan and impales Logan to a tree, but Victor is slowly gaining control and tries his best to stop killing Logan, Logan is begging X-23 to not shoot X-24 but she does it anyway

yeah he is kiddo he has a premium channel tv show that he is the main star of.

Shouldn't have killed him at all, or at least not that way.

Oh my God, all my money for this.

>Logan vs X-24 for the first time
>Logan gets his ass kicked
>recovers
>go meet Victor in a gambling bar
>introduces Laura to uncle Vic
>"You must be truly desperate, to come for me for help, runt"
>"I need you"
>"For what?"
>"for doing what you do best, putting me down"
>Victor vs X-24
>Victor has the upperhand like he always does and will always do
>X-24 loses but is fed a high dosage of the green vial
>Victor dies to X-24

>X-24 should have been this forgettable character from a terrible movie.

also didnt wolverine kill him in X-Men 1

Liev Schreiber probably would have paid money to be in it looking at his current projects.

they chucked him into the water, but that's about it

yeah, it was very underwhelming even with all that foreshadows

hes the best thing about Origins, even better than Hugh in that crapfest

He fell on a boat

Goon is actually well-received lmao

>Sabre-tooth was able to injury X-24 enough so Logan now has an edge over him
>Logan is able to immobilize him much like pic related
>the kid shoots them both
>;-;

Imagine projecting this hard onto an anonymous message board

that actually would have been fucking cool if the adamantum bullet is the one to kill Logan instead of a tree

But Xavier's death scene wouldn't be that strong if it was Sabretooh who executed him.

>it could be that Victor is winning the fight with Logan and impales Logan to a tree, but Victor is slowly gaining control and tries his best to stop killing Logan, Logan is begging X-23 to not shoot X-24 but she does it anyway

Change it to Sabretooth having gained self-control back after the farm, and he was just playing patsy just because he wanted to personally stick it to Logan one last time (like, you show him whisper to Logan that shows he was just pretending) before he'd turn on Pierce and the scientist and killed them for what they did to him. And then Laura fucks his plan up, because he didn't know it had an admantium bullet and just laughed at the idea of being shot.

His death was weird anyway so they could change how he dies.

In the comics theres this thing called trigger scent, its an aroma that drives Logan and X-23 crazy, and is in Rice's hands, so at the farm Rice could have used the trigger scent to make Logan kill Xavier

STOP! YOU ALL ARE MAKING ME HATE A MOVIE I LOVED! STOP THIS THREAD NOW!

In my head canon, all of wolverine origins took place in that VR headset he was wearing in apocalypse

There was discussion with Liev Schrieber on his return as Sabretooth and he was eager to play it but producers didn't want any connection with Origins considered how bad it was.
youtube.com/watch?v=q3DZ5Bscef4

shame really, hes also Hugh irl bestbud, Mangold is also close with schreiber.

>but producers didn't want any connection with Origins

Like the adamantum bullet?

My god Jimmy Fallon is an awful interviewer. I can't fucking stand him.

The reason was that Mangold wanted it to be more self-contained, otherwise he would have kept the Sabertooth scenes from the early drafts

Hes fucking stupid then.

Sabretooth is Wolverine's canon brother, fucking hell

In Origins bullet didn't kill him it just erased his memory
The way x24 looks like Sabretooth gives you enough hint hint towards it anyway.
They just didn't want to make it look like an obvious continuance of Origins and make something new or interesting

>Sabretooth becomes Laura's paternal figure
>Without his frienemy he starts talking alone

Fuck off faggot

It would have felt a little tacked on if in the middle of the story death they go meet Sabertooth at his gambling den or whatever it was. It would have been neat but it wouldn't really have added anything to the overall plot. though I wish they had filmed it so we could see it on an extended cut or something

>I HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE FILM THAN THE FILMMAKER WHO WROTE IT

Bet you woulda shat out a better script too.

his death was fast as fuck and very overshadowed by the farmers.

>Great 1st and 2nd act
>Meh 3rd act
Similar to The Wolverine who had great 1st and 2nd acts but an awful 3rd.

Logan is the best of the 3, but I wouldn't say is a master work as so many people say out there.

Well they should have shown what happened to other mutants like Magneto, Storm, Beast then.
How they got old, how did they fit into human society

But you all forgetting one thing - this isn't another dumb x-men shlock with fancy latex costumes.
It's called Logan.

Why Wolverine didn't die 1 year ago in the movie with the rest of the X-men?

He has resistance

how did they filmed x-24 and logan?

it's just happen to not be shit, thats put it above most of these films.

was it really too difficult to make a decent interview?

They cloned Hugh Jackman with Prestige Nicola Tesla device and gave Dafne real gun so she shoot him for real.

Adamantium bullets are a thing from the comics.

Stunt double + CGI Jackman Face

Wtf I'm seeing doubles

Wait so all the movie his beard was CGI?

hell no
youtube.com/watch?v=f6FScdx7azw

>THEY SHOULD HAVE CAMEO STAN LEE
I'm glad that hack didn't get a cameo.

Why didn't saber tooth get metal bones? He heals just as well as wolverine and could've had metal finger claws since his little claw finger tips seem to be retractable bone like Logan's bone claws.

That would've been cool if metal Liev Schrieber showed up.

>character has to grow and complete his arc by fighting a literal representation of all the bad parts of himself that he hates
>character has to beat up other mutant that he has bad blood with

X 24 was good, holds a mirror up to logan which makes a lot more sense thematically than having him fight some guy who hates him because they know each other

Did you even see the movie? It was minor bit he was in there you blind faggot

What about the sentence "stunt double + CGI Jackman face" made you think the beard was CGI?

If he gets fucking pissed enough literally no mental power can stop him.

He can go full juggernaut if he wants if he gets angry enough.

I think they mentioned it in Origins. They tried but he failed like all the others. He couldn't take the pain while the others died.

No. Wolverine's face was entirely CG in some scenes.

Looks like scott eastwood

No he isn't you fucking mong. They put him in the deadpool 2 teaser instead.

He has in the comics, in the movie it was because Stryker didn't want to give his enforcer invulnerability.

out of the negative Sabretooth comments, this one is just the worst, Sabretooth is a literal representation of all the bad parts of himself that he hates, Logan constantly moves away from his animal side while Sabretooth embraced it from the beginning, and Sabretooth IS Logan's biological brother, so the better explanation would be

No he wasn't

This film was just fucking stupid.
>Kids with powers
>Trained to be ultimate killers
>Run away from people trying to capture them

>Chasing mutants you were killing not so long ago
>Try to tackle them and physically restarting them
>Don't just shoot them

So fucking stupid

Maybe you're thinking of the Deadpool 2 teaser.

>Run away from people trying to capture them

In the movie, The Reavers weren't only tasked to capture but to keep those kids in check, these kids new nothing but pain from these people and has grown very afraid of them

No its you who is stupid
They needed their investments back its their property

>They started putting them to sleep
>Now they are free let's just capture them alive so we can kill them
Stop defending this shit tier movie

Also X24's appearance vaguely resembles sabretooths, it's mainly the hair and beard

Sabertooth couldn't have been X-24, because his healing factor was never strong enough for Adamantium.
