Christianity, especially Orthodox Christianity, is pretty "Hellene". The whole entire NT is written in Greek, not a Semitic language, and draws heavily from Greek philosophers.
So yeah, I'm not Greek but there you go. I don't think anyone hates the "native" Greek religion the world just moves on and continues to move.

Hate is a strong world, we still say "by Zeus" as a matter of fact. There has been a revival too, it gains more followers every year.
As to why WE love Christ so much, well, the Greek area was, after all, one of the first places in which it was adopted, so it is a matter of tradition, mostly. That and 1000 years of Byzantine endorsement.
