Huge part of the film is about Logan being old, tired, and weak.
How come people hate X-24 being a clone of his younger and stronger self when he was in his prime? Would Sabretooth actually work better as a final villain considering the direction of the story?
Landon Wright
Both sabretooth characters and actors were ridiculous.
Was it Triple H and Liev Screiber with long fingernails? Total shit
Jose Turner
blondie was an okay villain
they should've just used him and given him some kind of mutant ability or that magical green jizz that would match wolverine in some way
Michael Sullivan
I was sure he was a mutant after surviving Logans neck kick and waking up
Jason Ortiz
I think having a second Wolverine was fine. Blondie was a manipulator with malintent, which worked fine for the story.
You had Blondie, Wolverine 2: Electric Boogalo, and death as antagonists. That's enough tbqh. Plus Xavier was a borderline antagonist.
Camden Roberts
It would have been better if there was actual substance to the story. It felt like a porno, just a bunch of disjointed action scenes connected by a mediocre plot.
Fuck, the trailers made it look so interesting, especially with that stupid Johnny cash song
Jack Price
Cybernetically enhanced, and probably not just his arm.
Jackson Myers
>Plus Xavier was a borderline antagonist.
which would've been more interesting to focus on than this x-clone bullshit
Jace Russell
The only thing that annoyed me about that, is that it seems every x-men movie has a psuedo-wolverine as an antagonist
Caleb Johnson
>How come people hate X-24 being a clone of his younger and stronger self when he was in his prime?
He literally came from nowhere and was basically a mindless drone. That is not a compelling villain, I would have preferred it if he and Charles were killed by the henchmen instead desu. Sabretooth would at least had some sort of personality and background with Logan.
Dont get me wrong I liked the movie overall and the 1st half was great. But it had some dumb schlocky moments in the second half.
Brandon Collins
can anyone link a live stream to watch the movie or something?
James Reyes
>USA chanting >evil scientists create mutants...again >mutants running away from regular guys instead of just killing them all >they know the girl is dangerous, casually send one guy in to get her in beginning >girl is mute until the story needs her to talk >black farmers (soul glow guy) oppressed by evil white corporation >can survive nukes, but 50 yrs after given adamantium it poisons him somehow >only one who can stop wolverine is wolverines clone >on the run, hey lets eat dinner with these people >all the kids made it to eden somehow. didnt just cross border to canada >all kids captured easily. all kids are powerful and didnt use them until the story needed it >mexican nurse perfectly films and narrates the hospital she works at on a cell phone
Charles Torres
I didn't like the clone but wouldn't like Sabertooth either, I want someone new and different.
Nathaniel Torres
X-24 was great but I think it would be better if they shot him on farm. But then they would have to come up with another villain for the finale so I don't know. The farm massacre was pure horror.
Kevin Sanders
Sabertooth would have been forced and stupid. I mean they already have X23 made from Wolverine, and they explain she's temperamental so they made an X24.
Isaac Powell
Schreibertooth was somewhat redeemable. It would have been really fucking weird to put him in X-24's place
Jaxson Ortiz
congrats, you dont understand the point of the character.
>He literally came from nowhere
yeah, thats usually how your past catches up with you, completely out of left field.
Ethan Foster
Watching saber vs logan for the 10th fight is boring
Thomas Miller
>now we have a stream of movies devoted to actors saying "goodbye" to super hero roles
none of them will be as well written but instead an onslaught of petty attempts to pull at peoples heart strings. especially as most of them wont have played their roles half as long
Mason Walker
>it's a great movie and tv hates it episode
Aaron Moore
>usa chanting nigga what
>evil scientists create mutants...again first time americans did that, before it was the canadians
>mutants running away from regular guys instead of just killing them all bunch of kids with no real control of their powers against enhanced dudes with guns
>they know the girl is dangerous, casually send one guy in to get her in beginning they didn't know how dangerous she was
>girl is mute until the story needs her to talk she was "talking" to Charles
>black farmers (soul glow guy) oppressed by evil white corporation implying that doesn't happen in real life
>can survive nukes, but 50 yrs after given adamantium it poisons him somehow he got old, and prolly drank the corn syrup shit
>only one who can stop wolverine is wolverines clone I'll give you that
>on the run, hey lets eat dinner with these people Charles was demented
>all the kids made it to eden somehow. didnt just cross border to canada they were waiting for the others
>all kids captured easily. all kids are powerful and didnt use them until the story needed it what? they used their powers when they escaped Mexico
>mexican nurse perfectly films and narrates the hospital she works at on a cell phone people record shady shit all the time IRL
Aiden Cook
Can i watch this without watching the previous movies?
Thomas Nguyen
Yes. I've watched only the first X-men like 10 years ago and loved it.
Justin Bennett
There was more plot in this than in any other capeshits
Bentley Lee
>people record shady shit all the time IRL IRL they probably don't get away with it in a topsecret project on full display
Asher Richardson
They made the right call.
Villain clutter makes the movie cheesy, and they were obviously going for Kino.
Nathan Gonzalez
Who cares.
Aiden Stewart
It's actually perfect if you don't know anything about the previous ones. If you get the basic idea of X-Men and the characters then you're good to go.
Daniel Gutierrez
...
Josiah Foster
I heard this just rips off Old Man Logan so are there any incest Hulk babbys walking around?
Hunter Jones
Degenerate
Brody Reyes
How do you rip off something that you own? And to answer, no. This isn't Old Man Logan either.
Nathan Howard
You heard wrong. Stop listening to fake news
Blake Diaz
Someone recorded the execution of Saddam and uploaded to the internet.
Chase Bailey
I don't even like feet. I think it's a degenerate fetish as well.
Isaac Morales
>stupid Johnny cash song Kill yourself faggot
Jackson Howard
Fuck you.
Aaron Hughes
If the plot isn't about stopping a laser beam shooting into the sky then there's no plot
Jaxon Myers
It seemed pretty public (people took photos with camera flashes and noone cared to react) and wasn't something that you would prefer to hide from the world, like lets say creating a dangerous weapon.
Nolan Lewis
People complain about X24 but that character perfectly represents what Wolverine hates about himself and what he fears. X23 tells Wolverine that in her nightmares other people hurt her but Wolverine tells her that in his nightmares he hurts other people. X24 is Wolverine's living nightmare, his greatest fear of being a mindless killing machine.
Bentley Bell
The Sup Forumstards who ran the facility thought the mexinurses were too stupid to comprende what was going on. This was explicitly stated.
Leo Mitchell
wait, what are the others
Dominic Thomas
But why would that mean they could be blind to someone owning a recording device for everyone to see? They are supposed to take security measures in such projects.
Jeremiah Martinez
Farm fight was absolute kino of course Sup Forums didn't like it.
Only thing I would have changed about x24 would be to make him slightly more feral. He was too calm looking at Logan in the stairway. I like that x24 is just a rabid animal using Logan's blueprint.
Daniel Rivera
Agreed. Shallow and pedantic.
Isaac Rodriguez
I hurt myself today
Noah Johnson
How did a clone of Wolverine managed to be taller than Wolverine?
Jayden Bennett
WOULD YOU SAY ITS A GLIB FACSIMILE?
Colton Watson
Yeah because there's some guy livestreaming from a movie theater somewhere.
Is this your first day on the internet?
Lucas Williams
>absolute kino >Kino When did this become a thing
Isaac Brown
Jackman as X-24 actually scared the shit out of me, the farmhouse scene was more like a horror movie than action.
That's what the last 3 faggy Terminator movies should have been like, just this unstoppable killing machine tearing apart innocent people that puts the fear of God into even the hardest bastards.
Brandon Hughes
logan was hurting for most of the movie, i wouldnt be surprised if he was slouching or jsut not holding his posture as tall as he could
Alexander Morris
...
Henry Brown
Wait where was Stan Lee.
Caleb Foster
When americans learned their first non-english word and started repeating it non-stop.
Camden Watson
He was literally limping throughout the entire movie with the exception of the forest scene at the end
Austin Martinez
When x24 killed Xavier I legit thought it was Sabertooth. For a moment, I felt happy.
Cooper Ramirez
He was in blackface
Benjamin Gomez
Stan Lee was us the whole time
William Walker
X 24 is pleb filter
Matthew Hernandez
Since two years ago, fuck off newtrip
Nicholas King
In the opening with the Deadpool 2 teaser but Stan Lee is cut out in the theatrical version and you have to view Ryan Reynold's YouTube channel for the Deadpool 2 teaser that includes Deadpool yelling for Stan Lee to shut up.
Leo Thompson
This as well as the entire 3rd act
Leo Johnson
>Mexican nurse perfectly films and narrates the hospital she works at on a cell phone
You know most people end up slapping recorded voice lines over film for their videos right? Not many use mic audio only because it can fuck up all the time and require a reshoot of the scene, or you can just voice over it.
Fucking Youtubers do this to "perfect" their half-assed movie reviews, why wouldn't someone trying to expose a conspiracy like this do it?
Eli Diaz
This.
>Killing is like a brand
Did people who talk shit about Clone Wolverine even watch the movie?
Angel Morris
Agreed. It was actually a good decision to keep him quiet. You get this sense that Wolverine is afraid of him because he understands that X-24 is basically him, but 100% pissed off all the time. He knows what he does when he gets into those furies.
John Johnson
Really it's the tone that carries this movie. It's able to insert certain elements that would be seen in a schlock superhero movie but work here because they are kept in the background so as to not interfere with the tone and, yes, this is a good thing.
Charles Gray
Sabretooth would have made an awesome villain now that I think about it. Imagine a sabretooth still as youthful as ever because he didnt get admantium implants but logan who is dying because of them.
Far too often Logan's claws has made the difference in their battles. It would be hilarious to watch a sabretooth brag about how youth wins out and then he gets beat up by the loli
Dominic Green
>black farmers (soul glow guy) oppressed by evil white corporation
Jesus christ I knew he looked familiar.
Evan Sullivan
LMAO Laura would get her ass handed to her by sabertooth. All he would have to do is cut off her arms to get rid of the adamantium and it's over.
Colton Cox
they made her broken as shit. She was all over x-24 without the same happening.
Jaxon Stewart
Yeah well that's cause she had plot armor. Static niglet would kill them all if we're being honest with ourselves.
Carson Williams
That's actually a good point. Thinking back it was kind of a goofy plot element, but in the moment I totally bought it. It worked with the action, tone, story, and the overarching themes of aging, confronting your flaws, and learning to deal with trauma.
Jordan Roberts
it's a thematic piece - not a plot one, about ageing, guilt, and death. I went in expecting that and had a good time. no other superhero movie has really explored the consequences of superheroism (i.e. how unsustainable it is) before like this.
Michael Fisher
I dont understand why she was the only kid that seemed to have a grasp of her powers. Mexineto should have been able to take them all out. He could lift that huge vehicle but couldn't stop bullets/take guns?
William Harris
When the black kid was shown for the first time, some guy in the cinema yelled out WE WUZ MUTANTS AND SHIT and a lot of people laughed
Joshua Sullivan
I think he was supposed to be an earthbender or something
Dylan Nguyen
not the plant one. The one that lifted the army vehicle and dropped it on x-24
Mason Cox
>plot armor
what is wolverine's healing factor for 500
Easton Miller
Sup Forums is bleeding into reality
Easton Anderson
Because he is one the three pillars of all x men stories, and one of the 6 for the entirity of marvel
Mason Wright
she was more skilled than deathstrike while being 1/4th the age. It was pretty ridiculous.
Luke Powell
We got a contrarian here!
Mason Brooks
Yeah they were gimped hard. Just one of them could have killed all the reavers with ease.
Nathan Jones
HE was an earthbender. You're thinking of the GIRL who could control plant matter.
Jacob Morgan
oh it was rictor wasnt it. then yeah earthbending. It was poorly demonstrated imo. Seemed like he was lifting the damn truck or maybe I wasn't paying attention closely enough
Kayden Bailey
I learned I was a racist and a shitty comedian when I was in the theater and saw that kid and immediately changed his name in my mind to "Shockazulu"
I was ok with it.
Angel Butler
If you guys want to be racist and apropos at least call him Niggawatt
Jonathan Sanchez
That's clever
Adrian Robinson
It all happened quite fast but you deffo see a huge chunk of the earth with the truck on it fly up, catapulting it through the air
Matthew Rivera
Do we know all of the kids powers? It seems if you are spending hundreds of millions; if not billions on super soldiers you wouldn't waste time with shitty mutant powers.
Seems like they all should have been broken
Andrew Jackson
They have the same powers as the old ones.
Aaron Jones
Sorry it couldn't outshine the masterpiece of kino that was BvS. Maybe Logan should have shouted his mother's name to x-24 to stop him.
Kevin Gomez
They just don't understand it and it's obvious from their arguments. It boils down to "clones r dumb lol XD". Cloning was a part of the whole story and how the weapon x project advanced over time. Eventually they learned they couldn't make someone into a weapon, like Logan and Laura, so they waited until tech was advanced enough to just engineer them from scratch. Yeah, he was a brainless animal... because he was engineered that way. That's what they ALWAYS wanted and they finally perfected it.
it wasn't just Logan vs a clone, it was Logan vs Wolverine.
Camden Powell
Then you'd just have autistic faggots like we have now complaining that it didn't make sense why Logan was dying an old and sabertooth was still young.
Jackson Garcia
Movie would have been better if X23 was the "last" ever mutant, ala Children of Men
Parker Moore
Isn't her skeleton coated in adamantium too? Why would they coat her claws but not bother doing the rest of her if their intent was to make killing machine soldiers?
Blake Cook
Growth spurts would be fucked
Hunter Jackson
Just claws. Apparently its most asked question on Sup Forums
