He literally came from nowhere and was basically a mindless drone. That is not a compelling villain, I would have preferred it if he and Charles were killed by the henchmen instead desu. Sabretooth would at least had some sort of personality and background with Logan.

X-24 was great but I think it would be better if they shot him on farm. But then they would have to come up with another villain for the finale so I don't know. The farm massacre was pure horror.

X23 tells Wolverine that in her nightmares other people hurt her but Wolverine tells her that in his nightmares he hurts other people. X24 is Wolverine's living nightmare, his greatest fear of being a mindless killing machine.

Agreed. It was actually a good decision to keep him quiet. You get this sense that Wolverine is afraid of him because he understands that X-24 is basically him, but 100% pissed off all the time. He knows what he does when he gets into those furies.
Really it's the tone that carries this movie. It's able to insert certain elements that would be seen in a schlock superhero movie but work here because they are kept in the background so as to not interfere with the tone and, yes, this is a good thing.
Sabretooth would have made an awesome villain now that I think about it. Imagine a sabretooth still as youthful as ever because he didnt get admantium implants but logan who is dying because of them.

That's actually a good point. Thinking back it was kind of a goofy plot element, but in the moment I totally bought it. It worked with the action, tone, story, and the overarching themes of aging, confronting your flaws, and learning to deal with trauma.
it's a thematic piece - not a plot one, about ageing, guilt, and death. I went in expecting that and had a good time. no other superhero movie has really explored the consequences of superheroism (i.e. how unsustainable it is) before like this.
