What is the best trilogy?

What is the best trilogy?

Dollars

I've only seen 2 films from that picture, which ones should I check out if I want to see that kino stuff

why aint the nolan batman up there?
where would you guys rate them
I would rate them like what it has for star wars but im a fag

Indiana Jones
>the second movie that high

havent seen a single one of these in their entirety

Toy story

100%
100%
100%

The first Lord of the Rings film was a little higher then 2 and 3.

temple of doom wasn't that good.

>Star Wars 5 AND Back to the Future 1 higher than any LotR
>Mad Max 3 higher than 1

This should have its own room in the bait museum

>Mad Max 3 over 1

>star wars that high

...

9/10. 3rd one was kinda bullshit, but otherwise great movies.

2=4>1>

Was Jaws really that good? Only seen it as a kid.

blade

LOTR should look like back to the future's graph.

Once you rewatch it as a grown up you start to see how noticeably inferior the later movies are.

They were shot in the same amount of the time, but shooting is only a small part of the movie and the reality is that for the better part of a decade before fellowship released, they were working on and shooting all three movies, but of course you are putting undue work on the first one since if it doesn't fly the others won't get a chance to succeed. Hence, the first one is a lot sharper in pacing, editing and production values.

small bart trilogy

Begins 7.5/10
TDK 10/10
TDKR 6/10

Begins is solid. It just doesn't especially ascend beyond "very good superhero movie."

TDK is an excellent superhero movie, but also manages to excellently play on themes of escalation, terror, and responsibility. It has some flaws, sure, but literally every movie does.

TDKR kind of let itself get stupid because they thought they were Artists after TDK. The plane scene's silliness and poor scripting is a microcosm of the rest of the film's plotting and dialogue. It doesn't make it a genuine failure of a film, but it just doesn't come together as well as the other two. Also, we knew how to make a masked man sound villainous, threatening and actually understandable in 1977, yet Bane was impossible to understand. WTF sound design?

Hating spiderman 3 because its the reddit hivemind thing to do?

While all three movies are fucking great, it helps to give them slightly different rankings to differentiate.

Personally I'd go for:
TS1: 9/10
TS2: 10/10
TS3: 9.5/10

2 and 3 both dealt with the theme of abandonment by a child growing too old for their toys, but I thought 2 did it better.

i dont even know why i clicked on that thumbnail

Die hard
>90
>50
>100

I don't know why I laughed so much at this

toy story really is the greatest trilogy ever made

too bad theyre gonna ruin its legacy with a 4th one

the micro bart prequels weren't as good

...

Back to the Future III deserves a higher rating. It's a better movie overall than II.

>It's a better movie overall than II.

>Star Wars Empire that high
>Indiana Temple that high
>Matrix Reloaded that low
>Jurassic park 1 that low
>X-Men 2 that high
>Spiderman 1 that low
>Lord of the Rings not perfect 10's
>Mad max 1 that low
>Back to the Future 1 not a perfect 10

fucking GARBAGE pic

I don't think anyone would argue that the three LoTR movies are of the same level of quality.

The Pusher Trilogy.

I win faggots.

Jaws, all the Star Wars, Star Trek 2, all the Indiana jones, matrix 1, mad max 2 and 3, Jurassic park 1, all 3 back to the future

>star wars higher than LOTR
Troll or legit fucking retarded.

Underrated

The whole thing is goat except for willie

The Vengeance Trilogy.

Boom I win again faggots.

You're not very good at this...

Alien 9/10
Aliens 7/10
Alien 3 10/10

II had some memorable moments, but overall not much happened. Seriously, name one good thing about it besides the initial future sequence.

The Mesrine Trilogy.

Fuck sake faggots. I'll let you play your shitty trilogy game. It's too easy

the part where uhh... the car was uhh... and then what's his name...

Here in Argentina is kind of agreed that II is better than both I and III. Strange how taste changes between countries.

>Future
>Back to the past now with old Biff
>Alternate present
>Back to the past
>Johnny B. Goode again
>Doc dissapears

There's a lot of stuff in the movie.

Bergman's Faith Trilogy
Kieslowski's Three Colors Trilogy
Apu Trilogy

The Godfather
>12/10
>12/10
>5/10
Average 9.6/10 pretty good desu

Austin powers
>9/10
>9/10
>8/10

Cornetto
>8/10
>10/10
>6.5/10

Watched before trilogy for the first time last week. I'd definitely put it up there.

>alternate present
I'll give you that one. Everything else is either rehashing shit from the last movie or teasing the next.

JP1 is lower than MM 3 on this chart.

Mad max 1 had some serious issues

Lord of the rings
Nolan batmam
Starwars OT
[Spoiler]kung fu panda

>mad max 1 that low
>Lord of the Rings good
>Last Crusade not as good as raider

>BTTF 2 & 3 that low

The third Jurassic Park was the best by far, the first coming in a close second, but number 2 was shit.

should add the Wolverine solo movies to that

Origins: 3 (would be 1 without schreiber pairing so well with jackedman)

The Wolverine: 7.5 (3rd act keeps this from being higher)

Logan: 9.5

The only one retarded is you. LOTR is garbage

Growing up with Temple of Doom, I never understood this logic. It's an awesome movie.

Yeah, it's great. It's also, by a large margin, the worst Indy movie that isn't 4.

Are you trying to trigger me, user?

There's no kinos in that image

2 is the best IMO, three has some badly written moments in it which aren't huge but do detract a bit and 1 suffers from being the first of its kind with some of the more "generic" aspects of it since it had to be quite safe. 2 is absolutely perfect.

>LOTR is garbage
I bet you'd do anything to fit in, huh? Being a contrarian just to be like my cool internet friends! Kill yourself.

Star Wars is objectively garbage and needs to be much lower.
