There is no sense in arguing with thrm. They think that everything that Obama does is bad and everything Trump says is the holy gospel.

They'll feel the brunt of it when they try to watch thier anime porn or post of Sup Forums one of these days thrn get the messsge saying. "This website isn't available with your current Internet package. Please contact your local ISP for more details."

So, no more wasting time on the internet for murriclaps?
This can only mean they'll turn their attention to more productive activities, I presume.

142. Many of the largest ISPs have committed in this proceeding not to block or throttle legal
content.507 These commitments can be enforced by the FTC under Section 5, protecting consumers
without imposing public-utility regulation on ISPs.508 As discussed below, we believe that case-by-case,
ex post regulation better serves a dynamic industry like the Internet and reduces the risk of overregulation.509
We also reject assertions that the FTC has insufficient authority, because, as Verizon
argues, “[i]f broadband service providers’ conduct falls outside [the FTC’s] grant of jurisdiction
This is all coming from here
transition.fcc.gov/Daily_Releases/Daily_Business/2017/db1122/DOC-347927A1.pdf

By reinstating the information service classification of broadband Internet access service,
we return jurisdiction to regulate broadband privacy and data security to the Federal Trade Commission
(FTC),649 the nation’s premier consumer protection agency and the agency primarily responsible for these
matters in the past.650 Restoring FTC jurisdiction over ISPs will enable the FTC to apply its extensive
privacy and data security expertise to provide the uniform online privacy protections that consumers
expect and deserve.651
The FTC’s unfair-and-deceptive-practices authority “prohibits companies from selling
consumers one product or service but providing them something different,” which makes voluntary
commitments enforceable.502 The FTC also requires the “disclos[ur]e [of] material information if not
disclosing it would mislead the consumer,” so if an ISP “failed to disclose blocking, throttling, or other
practices that would matter to a reasonable consumer, the FTC’s deception authority would apply.”503

>I love trudeau and government owned unionized dude weed stores
lol faggot

>w-we won't throttle, we promise!
oh nononononononono

Let's say your absolutely hypothetical meme image actually plays out. What's stopping another company from not doing it? Let's say they offer the same speeds, but one company is going to charge tiers like that and the other is just going to give you a flat fee. Tell me, with your sub 50 IQ, who's going to get more business?

503
Today’s reclassification also restores the FTC’s authority to take enforcement action against unfair acts or
practices. An unfair act or practice is one that creates substantial consumer harm, is not outweighed by
countervailing benefits to consumers, and that consumers could not reasonably have avoided.504
I'm quoting some stuff so you can get a general Idea of the argument I'm about to make
making anticompetitive arrangements illegal. If ISPs reached agreements to unfairly block,
throttle, or discriminate against Internet conduct or applications, these agreements would be per se illegal
under the antitrust laws.518 Section 2 of the Sherman Act, which applies if a firm possesses or has a
dangerous probability of achieving monopoly power, prohibits exclusionary conduct, which can include
refusals to deal and exclusive dealing, tying arrangements, and vertical restraints. 519 Section 2 makes it
illegal for a vertically integrated ISP to anticompetitively favor its content or services over unaffiliated
edge providers’ content or services.520 Treble damages are available under both Section 1 and Section
2.521
This part here is essentially stating it's already illegal to restrain or block internet in any way
This is where my argument starts to stem from
"Net Nuetrality" is essentially just something in the bill will is already in place that they repackaged with other regulations
And I'll continue

If an ISP
that also sells video services degrades the speed or quality of competing “Over the Top” video services
(such as Netflix),526 that conduct could be challenged as anticompetitive foreclosure.
Now read this section
We rely on these principles to inform what interpretation constitutes the best reading of the Act independent of
any broader legal implications that potentially could result from such considerations. Thus, although the separate
opinions in the denial of rehearing en banc in USTelecom debated the application of such principles here—including
with respect to issues of agency deference and the permissibility of the Commission’s prior classification—we need
not and do not reach such broader issues. Compare, e.g., U.S. Telecom Ass’n v. FCC, 855 F.3d at 383-88
(Srinivasan, J., and Tatel, J., concurring) (arguing that Brand X dictates that the court reject arguments against
agency deference and/or the permissibility of the Commission’s prior interpretation based on the “major questions”
or “major rules” doctrine), with, e.g., id. at 402-08 (Brown, J., dissenting) (statutory ambiguity was an inadequate
basis to “turn[] Internet access into a public utility,” which “is obviously a ‘major question’ of deep economic and
political significance”); id. at 417-26 (Kavanaugh, J., dissenting) (similar).

Actually read what I'm posting here.

service as a common carrier telecommunications as one adopting rules compelling the service to be
offered in a manner that is per se common carriage.591 In particular, the Title II Order recognized that
classification of broadband Internet access service as a telecommunications service would, absent
forbearance, subject the service and its providers to a panoply of duties and requirements ill-suited to
broadband Internet access service.592 Thus, not only did reclassification involve what we see as a claim of
extravagant statutory power, but the Commission found that much of the resulting power was not sensibly
applied to broadband Internet access service—a view we believe also would be held by Congress itself.593
Restoring the information service classification that applied for nearly two decades before the Title II
Order does not require any claim by the Commission of extravagant statutory power over broadband
Internet access service and eliminates the anomaly that ill-fitting Title II regulation would apply by
default to broadband Internet access service. These considerations thus lend support to our decision to
reclassify broadband Internet access service as an information service.
176. We also reject AT&T’s assertion that the Commission should conditionally forbear from
all Title II regulations as a preventive measure to address the contingency that a future Commission might
seek to reinstate the Title II Order.
647 Although AT&T explains that “conditional forbearance would
provide an extra level of insurance against the contingency that a future, politically motivated
Commission might try to reinstate a ‘common carrier’ classification,”648 we see no need to address the
complicated question of prophylactic forbearance and find such extraordinary measures unnecessary.
And in conclusion they can fucking revert to it if they see fit
I think it's fucked up, and there is some Company backing this shit

What a time to be alive.

>expecting a leaf to read let alone understand

They have a cuck as their leader, why do you expect them to be anything else but that?

"They have a cuck as their leader"

>Lmao imagine the liberal cuck that made this image.

How exactly is being for net neutrality make you a liberal cuck?

TL:DR I read the entire bill, and in summary, all """Net Nuetrality""" was, is a way for government to seize control over everything you do. There are already measurements in place to assure it won't happen the way Reddit is happening. All the "Save da inturnet hurr" Bill was, was a nice package the retarded masses would suck off so they could pass renamed Sopa and Pipa bills, god I bet half you retards don't even remember sopa and pipa, but anyhow you're all retarded.

Your president is the biggest cuck for israel on the planet.

>be American
>pay half of your salary for faster internet
>can watch youtube videos in glorious 480p now
>forget to tip the isp
>get shot

memers have bamboozled themselves into being corporatists

...

bunch of people on reddit support net neutrality and that means it's exclusively supported by left leaning cucks meaning it's bad by default even though most of the right wingers on Sup Forums are ex redditors

help I'm laughing too hard

t. Muhammed

Christ, that was phrased badly.

>overturning an act from 2015 is going to change anything
lmao just lmao

The act in 2015 was a continuation of legistlation from the 80s

Fresh banter from America

Nah you're just a kike paid for by google netflix and Reddit. Both sides are shitty nut anyone who thinks they're going to destroy the internet is retarded.

You'd have to be a liberal cuck to believe that image. It literally screams MUH EVIL CORPORATIONS DESTROY CAPITALISM SOCIALISM WHEN???

Hiroshimoot is a jee

Yeah why would corporations take actions that would (now) legally enrich their profits?

cya guys, guess you won't have to make daily threads about moving us to /asp/

I fucking hate this country so much.

>trudeau is a chad

Cue the video of him getting bullied in his senate

>when you realize 40% of the internet is netflix

>pol will die but I wont be around to see it

I mean that kind of thing is literally already happening in Portugal, so...

>EVIL CORPORATIONS DESTROY CAPITALISM
This ironic sensationalism is kind of limp when the reality of the last 3 or so years has already taken place.

so NN is gone right now.... how has your life changed?

No more slag pics for amerimutts

AHAHAHHA

cue the video of trumps daughter getting wet for him

Because there's going to be an ISP that won't do it, therefore becoming bigger as a result of everyone wanting to be under there non bullshit prices. Do you even know how business works bud?

>comparing Portugal to America

El em ay oh

How many options for ISPs do you currently have locally?

This thread cost me 50 cents

That's a lot of porn on netflix

Good retort lol. Go back to reading marx

how much will (you)s cost post net neutrality?

Imagine actually arguing on behalf of Comcast and ATT on an anonymous imageboard for free.

5, you?

It would be pure and glorious.

come on now only filthy redditors don't suck corporate cock!

>Janitors will literally pay to do their job

Sounds magical, almost fictional. I only have 1 option where I live. The places I lived in the past only have 1 option each.

Heaven

>mr noseberg decreased my goyscore and forced me to mortgage my house
>mr shekelstein banned me from the internet
>mr mcgoynald made me 400lbs

I'm not comparing Portugal to America you utter moron. I'm saying there is literally already a precedent for this kind of thing.

Comcast already throttled Netflix years ago and Netflix just had to pay them off to get them to stop. I don't know how you can possibly be so blind to shit going on in your own country.

Link to what? It's in the image. Just google it.

Don't tell me what to do, you you gypsy dirt-person.
