How would it work?

The basic concept is solid, dead people from various backgrounds find themselves caught up in a bizarre survival game involving aliens/monsters, all comes down to who is helming it.

I'd honestly put the Spartacus guys on it.

This one was suprprisingly good, even with the liberties taken for the sake of it being a single movie.

Kato and Kei Kurono and the nerdy kid in the movie with the long hair are the oldest surviving members at this point, they were on a roll till the buddha temple mission and literally all them got wiped out but Kei, new members came in and he managed to get alot of them good and enough points to start bringing people back like Nerdy Kid and Kato.

Kato comes back and promises to revive Kei, they get re-united and start kicking ass again, then aliens invade the whole earth etc. and it all goes to shit and isn't worth reading cause you see all most of you old favourites come back to life and get killed straight away.

It's still hella fun to watch but I feel they tried to stay too faithful to the manga. So you get awkward moments where Kato is still hiding behind a car door when there's clearly no reason to be.

That's the worse part of Gantz, they never brought back any who was actually good with the weapons like Sniper bro from the Buddha Temple mission. Osaka team made them look like a joke.

I only wished Berserk would be complete CGI instead of the shit blender of both.

Liked it for the most part.
I was groaning throughout most of the ending, the 'don't you die' scene was way too long and both the death and her Resurrection were obvious as fuck. Also not sure I like the reveal at the end where he's been in the game before seemed pretty weird as I hadn't seen anything hinting at it with how any of the characters reacted to him. Still pretty good all round, think I'll have to read the manga now.
