JUST LYING THERE

JUST LYING THERE

out of any movie ever written with all quotable lines, quips jokes and phrases i have memorised, this is unironically the one that has the most function and i employ the most often. no one ever knows what the fuck i'm talking about though.

I'm sorry I'm calling at such an hour.... but I thought you might be worried..... about the security..... of your shiiiit.

ON the floor there

hehehe You Thought It was a Schwinnn!!!

Highly classified shit found

and why is OLSON here

desu George Clooneys character was one of the best written characters in years. He had layers upon layers of traits that played into the dialogue.

>Paranoid
>Boastful
>Inarticulate
>Predictable
>Gives of serial killer vibes until he reveals the dildo chair

Others stood out more, but that character was an 11/10

Jesus fucking Christ... What did we learn, Palmer?

He thinks its a Schwift

I'm better
than ever
you fuckers

FUCKING SAVING ACCOUNT

I have a drinking problem? Fuck you, Peck! You're a Mormon! Next to you, we all have a drinking problem!

THE RUSSIANS?

THE RUSSIANS...?

Ap-appearances can be deceptive.

what was the point of this scene?

Freemasonry?

To give you an idea of the character's age and background by showing rather than telling?

This movie sucked. Don't know why reddit has latched into it like this. Coen's have been shit since The Man Who Wasn't There.

He's at a Harvard reunion or whatever.

Was he actually an alcoholic, Sup Forums?

Really? He just seemed to mostly be an old-fashioned charismatic guy past his prime who goes screwy.

Did you forget No Country for Old Men? One of the best movies of the 2000s. A Serious Man was great too. You're a fucking moron. The Coens remain one the best director/writer combos to this day. Educate yourself, shitheel.

Coens have been (almost) consistently good since Blood Simple, you're just a low-test plebian.

>(almost)

goddamn The Ladykillers ruining their otherwise spotless filmography

I find it hard to separate George Clooney from his roles.

NCFOM, Inside Llewyn, A Serious Man and True Grit were made in that time.

If those were the only movies a filmmaker ever made they'd still be considered great film makers.

You are a dickhead.

Ladykillers and Intolerable Cruelty were their only two real stinkers, although I didn't like Llewyn or Hail Caesar that much.

Clearly had a problem of some sort but getting back in something like that is a time to drink. Not all the time because you're unemployed though

Inside Llewelyn Davis was worse than the Ladykillers. It was still a good movie, don't get me wrong

Yeah, I had to go back and add the almost when I remembered The Ladykillers. It wasn't a total wash, but it was definitely a pretty big misstep.

Hail, Caeser is great. One of my favorite movies of 2016.

Intolerable Cruelty is great, it's a modern day Wilder/Hawks screwball comedy.

Best use of the word fuck of any movie ever, better than Casino

That's what they were going for, but it still sucked because it wasn't funny and their normally great comedy plots was in that movie retarded

Plots are the most important part of a screwball comedy. Clooney and what's his name Thornton were both great, but Catherine Zeta Jones sucked.

>Inside Llewelyn Davis was worse than the Ladykillers

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

The thing with Clooney asking about the floors kills me
Who the fuck cares about what wood is the floor made of?

What? ILD was good, but it was a bit too cynical and pessimistic for my liking. The Coens generally turn that dark stuff into something better, but this one was just too pessimistic. I found the Ladykillers to be funnier and a funny political satire.

Both movies are far better than most shit that gets released these days

idk that seems like fairly normal small talk among middle-aged people at dinner parties

his delivery of the line is funny tho

Why is this movie so relevant today?

Go around the corner...we'll do it in the back.

Back of the car...not the rear entry situation.

I'm not set up to mold hard rubber.

The movie is really underrated 2bh.

This is cheese, so... Lactose intolerance.

russia hasnt stopped being relevant to the west since ww2

Olsen, whatsup?

YES HELLO THIS IS OSBORNE COCKS WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU

I am convinced that he was the same character that in the accountant

Just look at that parking lot

Letting it breathe...so important.
