I replied. "They're a Werepoodle XD" and she had a look of confusion on her face. "You've never seen a Weredog before?! You have the Underworld series!" (I know there's none in there, but still.)
It's funny, because my mom would normally assume that anything that's not a normal animal is a demon and hate it. And, my aunt, who basically identifies as a Wiccan now LOOKS AT MONSTER STUFF ALL OF THE TIME AND DIDN'T KNOW WHAT A WEREDOG WAS. HOW HAS SHE NEVER SEEN A WEREPOODLE BEFORE?! Maybe it's because I'm a furry or my huge interest in Werecreatures. I dunno. I just thought that they were more in media than I realized.
