What you demand from anyone is BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY. Ergo; blacks cannot expect better treatment from police if they don't expect better treatment from their own. Furthermore I don't like that a seemingly large part of the black community seems to take every shooting as "racist cops want to kill blacks" and have protests about it even after it comes to light that the guy was being violent.

I can't speak for the rest of Sup Forums but I agree with most of this. I also have a fair amount of faith in the criminal justice system and believe that even in cases of rape or murder we should assume that the accused is innocent until proven guilty. To tie that into current events, that doesn't mean that I automatically believe the cop isn't at fault in some of the recent shootings, Philando Castille seems to have been shot entirely in error, but even so,(and being rather pissed off at the death of a CCL holder) I'm hardly going to call for the cop's resignation until the investigation is completed.

For that to ring true, blacks would have to be treated worse by police than whites. But for the sake of these irrational protests - yes. Blacks pinning full blame on law enforcement under the pretense of racism - and none on the majority of perpetrators (blacks) - is racist in and of itself.

Personally, I find groups like BLM so ridiculous because the primary cause of violent death among blacks is other blacks, and said death typically was over drugs or some other sort of gang related activity. I don't blame people for getting upset over excessive force from police, we certainly have too many laws since prohibition and we certainly do have plenty of idiots who think that we can make things better by simply cracking down on everyone who violates any rule or law regardless of how petty and trivial that rule or law may be.

You are exactly right. There are some whites who will question the actions of police (whites who have had bad experiences with cops; criminal defense attorneys who know cops aren't the saints they're often made out to be by the system, etc.), but most whites trust police.
