The RPG-29 (shown in video) was responsible for penetrating a few M1s and Challenger 2s. The T-72 can carry ammo that can probably penetrate the M1, just the Iraqi tanks didn't have any nor were their tanks configured to handle such rounds.
Depending on the angle of attack, anything can pretty much penetrate anything.
Based on the impact, it hit the upper portion of the frontal slope of the turret. This is, bar none, the toughest part of any tank, not counting a very obtuse glancing hit on the hull. Nothing less than the latest generation of powerful ATGMs can even hope to penetrate that, even if it's just an "export" model.
It can, however, give the commander a pretty major concussion, and, as we saw not too long ago, it may be enough to make them run the fuck away from a perfectly fine tank.
True except for maybe your slight overestimation of the frontal turret armor and as far as I know that crew of the T-90 was so shocked mostly because they left the hatches open which probably caused rupturing of the eardrums. Most tanks are able to handle sabot or HEAT round hits and they start have trouble once they start taking direct hits from even heavier projectiles like artillery shells.
