I have a pet theory on Comey that the Clintons or one of their backers was able to dig up some dirt on him a while back and move him around like a chess piece wherever they needed him. If he was a true believer, that press conference would have been a lot more painless for Hillary. I think this assumption is flawed. The ability to create and disseminate information has just caught up with their ability to scheme, I think. I think if Black Team is unable to swindle the election and Trump wins, they just fall back and go into damage control mode. They give up a few nonessentials to the certain investigation, maybe they abandon the CF. At the very most they give up a Clinton or two and slink away for a while to recoup their losses. The martial law scenario has some chance of happening, but they've been quite adept at playing it safe and slow for a number of years. It makes no sense to give that up now, unless they have positioned themselves to be in a place so vulnerable that an ideologue like Trump sees them and knows where to hit them with the power of the office.

The reason why I asked in the first place is that he went off to Lockheed and other companies after his stint in the government, and I wonder what, exactly, his role was within the upper echelons of those companies. If he was, then it's standard quid pro quo. It would be of help to see in and outflow of people between corporation and government that are tied by the Clinton foundation.
