It was not a classless society. Some people had a better life under that strange attempt at communism.

could have watched wings of desire for a better look at east germany

Very good film indeed.

Thanks, burguerbro. I have nothing to do and this film looks interesting.

Some people do wish it back, but they simply ignore the downsides of it. I mean, it wasn't without upsides, but the downsides were plentiful.

DDR did some really fucked up shit. Like they had agents who would secretly sneak into the apartments of known "dissidents" and rearrange stuff, cut their tires, spread rumors about them etc, just to mentally fuck them up. There have been suicides over this and some need psychological help to this day.

Is that the drepressing movie about angels amongst humans?

it was kinda surprising that a German movie that goes against socialism would get approved like that by Hollywood which is usually on the same stream as globalist agendas
we were watching it in school once and our faggot teacher didn't continue after 50 minutes or so

Thete are plenty of anti-communist films made by hollywood, Moscow on the Hudson, Red Dawn, They Killed My Father

yes

we watched it in german class too (our teacher was austrian and totally nuts. coincidentally enough our english teacher was also austrian)

movie was so fucking boring

>Thete are plenty of anti-communist films made by hollywood
>implying that's not all that american cinema is

How did America go from hating communism to loving it? I don't really get it.

>are there actually people who missed living in East Germany

Hollywood used to be really conservative. Same with a lot of academia. It probably had to do with boomers rejection of the conservative values of their parents.

at least it was more classless than the germany we have today. fuck the wall though.

name me one movie from hollywood thats pro eastern block socialism

>Ucho ripoff

wew

Elysium. People living a favela kill rich people and destroy luxury space station in orbit. The heroes are mixed while the villains are all white and Anglo-looking.

The director was South African who grew up in Apartheid

that ending tho.

Also, it litteraly has nothong to do with Communism

kill yourself please
