Is The Game of Thrones really that good (both TV series and books) or is it popular just because of the hype train propelled by people that think they are nurrds, as it was in case of Sheldon and Zimbabwe: The Series.

First season is great, then it just gets worse and worse every season with the occasional big-budget battle episode to trick you into watching more

The cast is pretty good:
>Charles Dance
>Stephen Dillane
>Diana Rigg
>Max Von Sydow
>Iain Glen
>Jerome Flynn
>whoever played Roose
>Liam Conninghton
>Aiden Gillen
>The guy that played Pycelle
>the guy that played Daniel Plainview's friend

HOWEVER

Plebeians only care about mediocre actors that play shit characters like Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams and Kit Hartington

Just watch it for the secondary characters

Why don't you just take the time to google the names of the actors you didn't know?
Also how can you not know the name of Jonathan Pryce?

What must I do to end up like Brosnan
or more specifically, what must I do to NOT end up like the guy on the left

Right, forgot based Pryce

I need to post it on top, Anoninho

Not be his son.

Pretty much this

The books are legitimately bad though

>Maisie Williams
her ass though

Add Pascal in there too
Broberyn was one of the better characters

The books and first season are great. Seasons 2-4 are good, show is complete trash after that.

Game of Tits has great SFX, but terrible writing. There was no one memorable quote from the whole 7 seasons.

What do you mean they're legitimately bad? They're legitimately great, that's why they're so critically acclaimed and beloved.

Stop watching things because of the atractiveness of actresses!

I have friends that watched GOT just for the tits, and think that they are Einstein by saying that Jon and Daenerys ARE FUCKING COUSINS!

It's good, but the main appeal is the violence, sex, and "epic moments" when major characters get killed. I've met several people that liked it despite not having an interest in fantasy.

> There was no one memorable quote from the whole 7 seasons.

There's a ton of them, you're a fucking simpleton.

A sword swallower and You know nothing John Snow. That's it.

There's a lot of nudity which is neat. But on top of that you have warring kingdoms/houses, with a huge host of characters. You find yourself supporting one particular house, along with a selection of favourite characters.

>Books are legitimately bad
>Says the best season is the one that is slavishly close to the books

The Ladder is the most memorable quote for me.

>there is a beast in every man and it stirs when you put a sword in his hand

>rhaegar fought valiantly rhaegar fought nobly. and rhaegar died

>The common people pray for rain, healthy children, and a summer that never ends. It is no matter to them if the high lords play their game of thrones, so long as they are left in peace. They never are

Based Jorah alone has GOAT lines

pick one site to make this thread on, Bernd

this is so embarassing...

>Never forget what you are. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you.
>A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone
>All dwarves are bastards in their father's eyes
>There's only one god and his name is death
>A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of sheep
>Varys speech about small men casting large shadows

Tyrion has lots of good lines.

There's also many that are simply written but delivered well

>There's no cure for being a cunt
>Fuck the king

I don't know how you can say that, there's so many memorable lines

yes

>Do you know why I can to this stinking shitpile of a city?
>for you

It was a cozy series with just us bookfags enjoying a nice adaptation of our obscure fantasy novel then season three happened and normies started making retarded Red Wedding reaction videos.

Too Old.

Admit it though, at first you were intrigued by the idea of seeing how people who hadn't been spoiled reacted to the Red Wedding. That's why the videos became popular. No contrarianism can change the fact that it is genuinely one of the most shocking moments in the history of modern fiction. I wish I hadn't been spoiled.

What the fuck kind of demographic does krautchan even cater to? The few times I've been there it seems like Central Europe/Finnish autists.

Also how did that guy know

PB likes his fellas slim hipped and long legged.

ya its like they ignore everyone but the the crapiest actors..

eat and work or lift weights

Russians, Central Europeans, Finns, autists

season 1-3= great
4- alright
5- dragon shit
6- good, not great; end episode is solid tho
7- ??

In the Red Wedding I was just astonished because I did not know how they'd carry on with the North subplot with all the Starks dead

I was also sad because Robb said he was gonna attack Westerlands, and I wanted to see Casterly Rock

Never cared about any of the victims, and was always on Based Roose's side

>The Game of Thrones

It's just Game of Thrones. No "The"

Wtf is that Bond's kid?

How the fuck is he a lanklet numale?

as someone who has watched it before the hype train began yes it is great the first couple seasons are great and then it slows down and gets kind of shitty mid way and picks back up again

>That feel when you ask normies if they like A Song of Ice and Fire and they look at you confused

Pierce you need to feed your son

Could it be maybe that the books turn to shit as well.

Stop sucking grrm micro penis.

>tfw 5'6
>tfw dad is 5'11

Except the show has such poorly written characters you don't give a shit about the people who die there

He gave all the food to his wife

>and picks back up again
Now this is one reddit opinion.

>tfw 6'3
>tfw dad is 5'7

he's still more of an alpha than me though

i made it until halfway through the third season
it's a thinly veiled soap opera, like all the other scifi/fantasy dramas

>not mentioning Lena Headey

Pleb.

In a twist of ironic fate would Theon or Euron make Ramsey his own Reek or is he one of the few characters who deserves a nice, painful death?

Ramsey's dead, baby.

>S6 was good guys we swear

/r/ing serdaavos goodfriend screencap about jon snow revial

The show is unbelievably gay now. It was fun for 4 seasons(fun not good) now its for reddit man children and women

It's not. It was kind of interesting at first. I think it lost me when it had little green people throwing fireballs all of a sudden one episode. I'm not sure why it shocked me when it does fit with everything else.

Reminder Daenery's dragons aren't real and are a figment of her imagination which she has been using as coping mechanism since the end of AGOT.

How pissed would a lot of fans be if that turned out to be the case or would they worship GRRM as a genius in denial?

In the books rumours start spreading of dragons in the east from other POVs, so I doubt it. And we see them through Quentyn who is still alive

They both get progressively worse. The books remain enjoyable, and the later ones have some good storylines. The show just turns into trash, yet I'll still watch it.

hahaha. is this his son? top kek

Because it actually does not fit at all and was made up for the show by the incompetent "writers".

He's alive but barely but would make an interesting plot twist though would wonder how George would pull it off though considering a lot of others have seen the dragons.

Eat food.

But seriously, their fashion choices fit their body types well. His son actually looks pretty good imo.

this. it was interesting at first but then they got carried away with the 50 million side plots and 90 million characters no one gives a shit about. they setup the first season like some crazy supernatural threat is looming and there's going to be some crazy shit.

crazy shit that never happens. there's some good episodes, like when the wall was attacked, or when juhn snuh was getting attacked by the ice zombies. half the characters i don't even fucking remember because they're so worthless.

Reminder Gilly's son is going to be used in a blood sacrifice by The Others to bring down the wall.

It's literally only popular because it's basically porn

The Night's Watch pledge was the Oath between the First Men and the COTF.

His son looks like a meek, ineffectual, feminized, emaciated, metro-goth faggot. Even the homos modelling professionally on catwalks who are tall and gangly at least have some semblance of proportion to their bodies.

Show starts really good, gets pretty bad after it passes the books.

Books are fantastic. I really enjoyed them, though they shattered my opinion of the show.

Haha bro I only watch for the totes epic moments too

It's 'A Game of Thrones'

>lanklets
>masculine

can't tell if his kid is king of the lankets or if pierced buns brosnen is actually low key manlet

>pierce is supposed to be 188cm

wew
