Is there still a country on earth where basic agricultural jobs are socially respected and paid rather good and you as a farming dude are not instantly done in the marriage seeker market?

Having a co-farming waifu
The dream
Norway maybe? Breivik was a farmer and he was rich
Sure, there are countries where agriculture is still one of the largest industries.
Farming is tiresome and less paid.
Any first world one?
>rice field vs potato farming
yes, farming simulator
Netherlands I would guess.
They are agricultural superpower after all
Probably France.
I unironically wish I could start an organic farm in Japan
North Korea
The United States and Canada.
Those fancy high tech glass houses are pretty low effort though with sensors and automated system taking care of soil water moisture and soil nutrients all year round, all you need are immigrant slaves to pick veges.
>first world
>marriage
Nice joke
Which is exactly whats wrong with the system. A family member of mine is a sole farmer, he has some crops and cows and some employees to help him. His day goes something like this:
>Wake up at 4-5AM-ish and eat breakfast
>Milk Cows and do other work until noon
>Nap for an hour or do other menial work
>Work some more until afternoon and have a small break
>Work some more until dinner time
>Work even more until 10-11PM
>Either sleep early or spend 1 hour of free time at the cost of sleep
>Repeat all week, including weekends
Farming is an extremely unrewarding fulltime job.
Nope.
Italy, unironically
losta countryside ppl do that, but its not socially respected and its hard to get by, until you grow big or collapse
small individual farming has no future, too expensive
collectivism works because industrial production but thats quite different than the imagine of an avarage peasant
Well here it does pay well, depending on crops
I did sack farming on my backyard and I could earn up to usd500 each season
As for being well regarded, it's an honest job and certainly better than working at the factory or department store, but that's about it
More work than my rice farmer grandpa but he just pays the village youths to do all the work nowdays since he is too old.
Well we need to keep employment rates somehow, if the govt subsidises such automation nationwide the unemployment rates will go through the roof.
Still it would solve our local needs and some more, instead of 3rd world 2.7ton rice yield we would be laughing at 1st world with 7ton yield. Too bad leaders these days are all
>muh industry and financial sector
Yes, the Afrikaners respect their farmers. The English and Blacks certainly don't though, which is funny since none of them are farmers themselves.
cost effectiveness, you cant grow enough with that method while being sustainable
they make more profit with less gains than you for each ton
Modern automation is more enviromental friendly and cost effective in the long run , we had an experimental facility set up for R&D with Taiwan.
>closed water collector stores rainwater
>computer controlled water drip conserves water enabling 3 weeks of farming with stored rainwater without external water supply thus saving water supply
>adjustable sunlight exposure to control the sugar level of the produce
>enzyme based waste disposal
Fertilizer is non issue with local supply of bat shit and petrochemical industry.
Too bad we are an export based country so global economic slowdown affected us greatly compounded by tourism which is 10% GDP shot down by BUK missile. As a result all resources are going into service sector as backup.
Still this kind of farm life is probably not the one that OP seeks.
Yeah, here.
This is a self-driving tractor.
Agriculture is a high-tech frontier now.
Just abandon your romantic images of farming.
Never, farming with your waifu making you packed lunch from your harvest to be eaten in the fields in a man's romance.
Depending on the crops you can get good money here so kinda, our women aren't like Japanese/Korean/Chinese though, they like working and earning money so they're not gold diggers that want to stay at home and leech off their husband.
That only happens in poluted and overpopulated shitholes.
It's respected in the Netherlands.
But it's not paid well. Most farmers are millionaires, but that's mostly due to their land.
Rural US
Farming is comfy as fuck here too
Government subsided agriculture.
In the Netherlands they say: farmers live poor and die rich.
Farmers have an average worth of 1,8 million euro.
>Is there still a country on earth where basic agricultural jobs are socially respected
There never was. Farming was always near the bottom of the social ladder.
Sasuga Japan
Owning cows in India is a blessing
They are celebrating diwali today, cut them some slack on the bullying.
>Hopes the indian cooks don't add cow urine to my food.
Kek, 2013 little india riot never forget.
From a country which has a epidemic farmer murder rate.
>mfw, i own more farm land than most European farmers.
>mfw, can't do the same thing that your country do because there is a shitload of people growing veggies for a sparse and not dense populated region.
I was thinking in grow some meme fruits like avocado and export until the chicano fever last.
