Just watched Spaceballs for the first time. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. It made me realise that there's probably many more slapstick comedy films I've not watched yet... and slapstick comedy is my favourite kind of comedy!
Can you guys please list some awesome and funny slapstick films?
I've seen: >The Naked Gun Trilogy. >The Man With Two Brains. >Hot Shots 1 and 2. >Ace Ventura 1 and 2. >Spy Hard. >Airplane 1 and 2. >Basically every single Jim Carrey film.
Elijah Adams

Plenty of the movies on your list are pretty good, but Spaceballs is trash.
Elijah Campbell
If you're interested in other movies by Mel Brooks, here are his best:
-As mentioned, Blazing Saddles -Young Frankenstein -The Producers (new one if you don't like shitty pacing, old one if you don't like musicals) -Robin Hood, Men in Tights
These are pretty much essential comedycore for an American, except for Robin Hood imo
Julian Sanchez
Nope never seen any! Will add those to the list!
Added to the list, never heard of a single one of those... this is the kinda thing I'm looking for!
I'm really easy to please to be fair.

Duck Soup To Be Or Not To Be Dr Strangelove Blazing Saddles The Jerk Evil Dead 2 The 'Burbs Hot Rod Step Brothers
Noah King
Watch The three amigos, also the jerk.
Justin Gray
>Forgot to mention I'd also seen Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein! but you preferred spaceballs? That means you have shit taste, sorry.
Wyatt Nelson
Is this the best work of Mel Brooks?
Chase Reed
>TFW watching young Frankstein and many other old school comedies
>As a kid I didn't get it.
>As an adult. Having watched actual horror films. And tons of movies. Movies like YF are now hiliarous
Space Balls is funny but it's silly. It's better when you are a kid, but still has charm in it. While some comedy is something you need to know the context. I.E:. Young Frankstein was never that funny to me as a child because I never had an understanding of Frankenstein or the material
Parker Lopez
>slapstick Just watch more Mel Brooks comedies.
Blazing Saddles Young Frankenstein Robin Hood: Men in Tights History of the World, Part 1 High Anxiety
And so on.
I thought Young Frankenstein was funny as a kid. After growing up and getting the adult jokes, and the references to the original Frankenstein films, I realize it's fucking brilliant.
