Who exactly is this show targeted towards?

who exactly is this show targeted towards?

baby boomers?

Also, was Ed autistic?

I don't know. I guess it does it's own thing. I like it.

fun fact: most of Canadian TV is like this. It sells well here.

Patricians like myself.

No, but Adam was.

>You will never have a love/hate relationship with a pixie-haired bush pilot. ;_;

Maggie is my waifu.

I lived in both the town this show was based on and the show it was shot in.

>show it was shot in

Derp. I mean the town it was shot in.

People who want to be comfy, watched this growing up with my dad just cause it was filmed where he grew up

It was a comfy show for all those Kelsey Gramer followers to feel like they could rough it with the backwoods types.

So Talkeetna and Roslyn?

also, holy shit a northern exposure thread

People who enjoy maximum comfort.

early fans of Jack Black

My mom fucking loved this show when I was a kid. Holy fuck I had forgotten it had even existed.

it was before demographic targeting

Yup.

Patricians

What's the show even about? Is it like Twin Peaks?

I miss Chris in the Morning

>live in northern minnesota
>near the canadian boarder
>literally innawoods
>have an outhouse
>have a cast iron stove in the living room
>only pick up 3 channels with the antenna
>bears in yard all the time
>sometime wolves too

I loved northern exposure as a kid. So I guess innawoods people were the target demo
>that sweet 90s film stock

I wonder what we'd have now if digital never came along

nyc jew can get his med school loans paid off for spending a few years in an underserved community

Ends up in a small ass town in alaska

Its pretty much slice of life with a bit of occasional romance drama thrown in

Is this about some guy in Alaska showing off his dick to a middle school?

I recently watched the first 2 seasons, then dropped the show when Adam's wife knocked Joel over the head with a frying pan and tied him up. That was too stupid. Does it get better?

So it's like Twin Peaks but made by David Chase?

similarities to Twin Peaks:

>small town in the Northwest USA
>populated by interesting characters
>dramedy

differences from Twin Peaks:
>no mystery
>not nearly as kookie, spooky, or bizarre
>not much crime or law enforcement

More like Twin Peaks for normies. Also one early episode has an obvious homage to Twin Peaks.

It's like Twin Peaks but actually good.

Season 3 is god tier. 4 and 5 are okay and 6 is trash except for the end of Joel's arc.

This was such a comfy show.
Used to watch it with my mum all the time.

My mom loved this show. I always wanted to fuck the old mans wife.

there was a bumper crop of quirky small town shows after twin peaks. this, picket fences, american gothic, key west.
usually without the paranormal shit

>It's toasted. I get it.

good choice

both he and Maggie O'Connell were in an episode of Quantum Leap called Catch a Falling Star

>essential watcheditwithmomcore

My best friend had an obsessively huge crush on her. He even went so far as to try to drive from Calgary to Washington State where the town is filmed.

Great show, I watched it regularly. But never liked that black DJ who replaced Chris.

Holling.. you dirty dog you...

Just here to say this show was the ultimate comf core, and
is why. Miss you, mom.

wait...what was the key west show?

she has dem mams

...

...

Its nothing like Twin Peaks, its like Wings.

Somebody recommended it in a thread "TV shows like Twin Peaks" and that's why I watched it. It's got that comfy small town vibe and great characters. There isn't spooky stuff like said but there is still something mysterious about the woods and all the weirdos. The DJ and Adam are best characters.
