Why are Indians in America so rich?

how do we stop them from taking our jobs/money?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ethnic_groups_in_the_United_States_by_household_income

Hindus, Sikhs, and Buddhists are compatible with Western civilization. We should seek to incorporate them even if they are a little weird.

They focus on their studies and aim for good careers.

jokes aside, bad idea
the work in call centers here and cant make the fuckers out
hab jo haveded en icident fucking annoying

I thought you people aspired to work as cheap labor in gardening and construction

I said Indians in AMERICA, not britain.

Obviously the ones in Britain aren't that great, Britain isn't a great place to be for anyone, what do you expect

British government has a bias against India, they prefer pookistanis better, they encourage the worst in humans, call acid attacks and jihad cultural enrichment.

While on other hand, US provides complete freedom of doing whatever you want to do without getting judged which brings out the inner cunning jew in us.

The United States has a fairly selective immigration policy when it comes to nations which already have significant expatriate populations residing on American soil.

India doesn't have refugees and its citizens don't qualify for participation in the Green Card lottery and other migration programs.

Moreover, India has a handful of reputable academic institutions, most of which are geared toward fields like engineering, computer technology, and IT. Couple that with English proficiency among the wealthy and educated classes, and they make good investments for American corporations trying to fill in vacant slots.

The United States isn't getting the average Indian, nor the best or worst Indians -- we get the ones who are educated, hardworking, or simply privileged.

Toss in a few million Biharis and see how far down the average household income would slide.

>Indians are staying in the US illegally at far higher rates than any other nationality.
>In 2014, there were nearly half a million unauthorized Indian immigrants, according to a recent Pew Research Center report. The influx represented a nearly 43% spike since 2009, when the number was 350,000.
>The Department of Homeland Security attributes the growing immigrant populations from Asia and other far-off places to people who initially “arrived with legal status and overstayed their visas.” Last year, 14,000 Indians on tourist or business visas overstayed their legally-permitted welcome. It beats all other Asian nations when it comes to illegal entrants.

Makes you wonder why they loved Trump so much

America has the luxury of filtering / stealing the best of 1 billion Indianans to benefit their economy.

This will end how ever if the petro-dollar ever fails.

It's not really the 'best' of India.

The topmost earners here wouldn't have any reason to emigrate to the United States. I, for one, would much rather live in New Delhi on $30,000 per year than in Chicago with an annual income of $200,000.

Rich folks here have maids, chauffeurs, and can essentially live outside the law.

Most of the people going to the United States to work are either middle- or upper-middle class Indians who need a salary upgrade. A 25-year old working in tech in India would be lucky to make more than $1,000 per month, whereas they could see their salary jump up ten times through securing a comfy job in Seattle.

Yes but you have to take in to consideration emigration did not start now. it started a generation before. and the filtering process indeed allows the americans to take in only the best.

This was even the bigger fear of Bismark before WW1

Indian immigration to the United States is a fairly recent phenomenon.

The Indian population in America was only 500,000 in 1990 -- today, that figure is at least six times higher, with Indians now accounting for over a full percent of all persons residing in the United States.

We (meaning Americans) historically did discriminate against East and South Asians, as well as East and Southern Europeans.

Europe's definitely in a more precarious location for immigration woes, both in terms of geography and policy.

does this need to be explained? hint: the best 0.01% of India.

The best 0.01% of India has no need to ever leave the country.

Most people here are poor as fuck, but the ones who are financially successful or on par with the middle-class in developed countries would never want to leave.

>financially successful
>best 0.01%

libertarians out!

>They focus on their studies and aim for good careers.

This.
And it's a part of a cycle where the people who want a better life work really hard to get it but within a generation or two their kids wind up sick of their lives revolving around slaving for materialism because the kids haven't ever not had materials so they don't have the - I'll do anything to not be hopeless and shitting in the street - mentality of their predecessors.
So they stop pursuing materials and go off into ideologies until there is real economic hardship to deal with and then maybe some of their kids growing up in a seriously poor life (which almost doesn't exist in the west like it does in other parts of the world due to welfare systems) say "fuck this shit" and have the drive to start the cycle all over again.

Somebody who's at the topmost percentile of talent is probably going to find a way to succeed no matter what. A lot of Indian sportsmen and actors and business-people have moderately inspiring stories of rising from poverty toward affluence.

The problem with brain drain and immigration is that the rest of the country needs the Top 10% of talent to run smoothly -- doctors, engineers, and those providing crucial, professional services which enhance and contribute to development.

Moderately talented people with limited financial prospects are the ones trying to leave the country in droves. Why would anyone want to stay in India earning 50,000 rupees per month when they could get a job paying ten times more overseas? Even physicians here don't earn a spectacular amount of money unless they're well-established in terms of both of a private practice and reputation.

because only their elites come here. Every adult Indian in my town was some sort of Western trained doctor

They aren't you jobs or money. You want highly unregulated Burgerstani meme market capitalism, that's what you fucking get.

because only the smart one get out of India. the smarter one kill themselves

...

Europe still somehow does mental jumping jacks to convince themselves they are less racist than the US

>me me me

What do you want? Sympathy?

Study hard. Do well at school. Study hard. Do well at College. Get a high paying job. Get money. Fuck bitches. *mike drop*

hahahahahaha

There are far more Indians here than Pakis, and Indians usually do much better and are often in better jobs, middle-class etc.

>Obviously the ones in Britain aren't that great

>British Indians are socioeconomically affluent and are primarily members of the middle class. A study by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation in 2011 found British Indians have among the lowest poverty rates among all ethnic groups in Britain, second only to White British. Studies have shown that Indians are more likely to be employed in professional and managerial occupations, including financial services than other ethnic minorities
