One would expect more snowy places in New Zealand and Patagonia
Why doesn't the southern hemisphere have any snowy places?
>Why doesn't the southern hemisphere have any snowy places?
Antarctica is over there.
Fair enough, but other than Antarctica?
This is in Argentina
Patagonia.
all of the Andes is snowy
this mountain is in the tropics
Plenty of sea ice, and there's a huge continent covered in ice. Other than that, it's because the southern hemisphere is mostly ocean. South Africa isn't south enough. Neither is Australia.
There just isn't that much land in southern hemisphere.
Russia alone probably has more land than most of the southern hemisphere does
and this is in New Zeland
now post swedish beaches, OP
One would expect swedes to be smarter and not such retarded questions
what is austral ch*le?
>and this is in New Zeland
Neat
>now post swedish beaches, OP
Ok?
Ackshully, the southern hemisphere is overall cooler than the northern one, given the same latitude.
I'm at 50°N, and the yearly mean is 10.8°C, being 350km away from the sea. Warmest place at that latitude is probably the Scilly islands (near the Gulf Stream) at 11.8°C
Meanwhile even marine places at 50°S are much cooler, Port-aux-Français reaches just 4.5°C
>tfw have never seen snow
Only subhuman ppl live in snowy countries
chile
You realize it snows in countries besides Sweden, right?
because it lacks continental masses in high latitudes
Apart from Patagonia, snow also falls in areas close to the Andes, like Lonquimay and San Pedrod e Atacama
Pic related, Lonquimay
OMAIGAH SUCH A FROZEN BARREN PLACE ALL SWEDISH ARE SNOWNEGGERS
see? ignorance is bad
Tasmania it snows
Because the Southern hemisphere has much more ocean than the Northern Hemisphere.
...
Ever had snow at or near sea level though?
yes and they are all shit
It does you dumb nigger. Australia gets more snow than most European countries, New Zealand gets more snow than almost all European countries.
Snow and Australia just don't go together in my mind. When I look at y'alls winter weather forecasts, I see autumn temps here.
Compare the proximity to the poles of populated regions.
