He has much less funds than the others. Why people expect him to be able to compete with Klopp, Conte and Pep who spend more than 150mi when he has less than 50mi?
Yes. For all that people talk about Tottenham, Arsene has a much more difficult job. And Arsenal fans act as if he was crap.
Nolan Cooper
He's a good midtable manager
Gavin Smith
Wenger is elite at making the club profit, people meme about the top four trophy but the fact that Wenger managed to consistently achieve a top four finish for over 20 years (half of which were after Arsenal had moved stadium and they had to become a selling club to pay off their denbts) is impressive. It's why the Arsenal board love him, because he lines their pockets while the owner just sits their and does nothing.
Nicholas Brooks
>net spend argument
Luke Reyes
I'm not even talking about net spending (Chelsea's net spending is not that high due to their loan army and their capacity of selling their old players to China for a lot of money), but expending by itself.
Oliver Wilson
To be fair, it's not like Arsenal is much poorer or generate lower amount of revenue than any top clubs except both Manchesters. If he refuses to spend, then that's no wonder that it's gonna be tough to achieve good results with shit players. Their squad is always full of deadwood who just aren't good enough for a top side and world class players they have are unmotivated as fuck since he stopped giving fuck about contracts. That being said, even with present squad as it is, he often makes bizarre team selection decisions.
Bentley Butler
Wouldn't Arsenal have become a selling club if they hadn't moved stadium? I don't know anything about the club but it's hard to imagine they could have kept pace with United for example.
Adam Lewis
What's so good about being 6th?
Easton Lee
because seven ate nine
Adrian Scott
I doubt it, ticket money is only a fraction of the revenue these days, if anything Arsenal jumped the gun and built their fancy stadium too early which was further compounded by Stank Kroenke becoming the majority shareholder, who has even come out publicly and said he didn't buy Arsenal to win trophies, all he cares about is the profit, he takes a few million pounds here and there for "consultation work".
Owen Stewart
But needless to say it's not really Arsenal's fault, they couldn't have predicted just how fast the money in football would skyrocket, now you even have teams like Crystal Palace that can afford to fully redevelop their stadium, when 7 years ago they were going into administration.
Oliver Perry
>sp shits on United for selling merchandise to chinks to generate profits which is somewhat used on meme transfers >sp admires arsenal for generating profits to keep their amerifat overlord rich
>Wenger is elite at making the club profit This. People complain about why Wenger is still at Arsenal, just remember that their owner is Stan Kroenke, who bought his home state's football team and then moved them to California for extra cash. Profit>everything else.
Jacob Jackson
>He fell for the net spend meme
Luke Wood
The problem with arsenal is that they have too many shit players on big contracts. Walcott earns 140k pounds a week, as far as I know.
Typing it out for anyone who doesn't feel like following the link.
1. Man City: 723 spent, 217 sold 2. Man United: 611 spent, 174 sold 3. Chelsea: 602 spent, 410 sold 4. Liverpool: 396 spent, 277 sold 5. Tottenham: 341 spent, 339 sold 6. Arsenal: 298 spent, 116 sold
The gap from Chelsea to Liverpool is fucking massive
Isaac Brooks
4th highest spend, normally finish 4th. No problem here
Levi Johnson
The problem is for a club like Arsenal is that for a very long time the fans felt like they were still a "proper" club where the fans mattered and that they achieved things by their own hard work. Now they are realising it was always about ownership, and instead of getting an owner who puts the investment in to grow the club like Abramovich, they got scummy owners that want to bleed the club for as long as possible, the hardest thing for them to accept is they are no different to Chelsea but Chelsea got the better owner.
Leo Bell
It goes: City>United>>>Chelsea=Arsenal>Liverpool>>Spurs
Jason Williams
>Underrated >Hasn't won a league title for a decade and a half >Reached ONE european final >Struggling to even challenge for top 4 now
Adam Myers
Trophies won since the season SAF retired: Guardiola: 7 Wenger: 6 Mourinho: 5 Conte: 3 Klopp: 2 Pochettino: 0
Gabriel Bennett
Now specify which trophies each one got. Because winning the FA cup is not the same as winning the premier league.
Brayden Howard
It's more valuable than winning the Bundesliga with Bayern or winning Serie A with Juve.
Luis Adams
Is moh planning a allahu ackbar?
Josiah Perry
can anyone blame him?
Brandon Brown
yeah but chelsea sold over 125 mil more than liverpool to spend an extra 200 chelsea sold by far the most out of the other clubs to raise revenue man utd and man city are the worst by a mile
Ian Brown
If it's so important then why did Wenger field out his B team against Forest?
Joshua Gomez
He's reached two european cup finals with arselel, don't know which one is a bigger choke
Camden King
>Wenger: 6
Wait, are you counting the community shield as a trophy? That's a glorified friendly, it means nothing.
Mason Smith
>cant win the 4th place trophy anymore >muh revenue trophy
LMAO
Ayden Morales
>Alexis Sanchez, Ozil, Xhaka, Lacazete, Debuchy etc Reminder Leister won League
Bentley Anderson
why is arsenal income so low? i thought they were light years ahead of tottenham in popularity in brazil, you see their merch everywhere, even here on Sup Forums they have one of the most popular generals, you don't see anyone giving a fuck about the spurs
Carson Lee
yea keep talking about spending, while whatever little prestige and rep Arsenal had is pissing away by wenger
can not longer keep your best players, no one decent will come, pure genius
Levi Wood
Who is this girl??
