When was the last time you rented a movie?

Must have been 2009 or 2010
When was the last time you went out of your mom's house?
>Tfw found my old blockbuster membership card while digging around my house today
february 2015
I rented a movie from redbox a couple weeks ago. It is kind of crazy though how video stores have now become a tiny kiosk.
June 2016. Rented Deadpool from a Red Box because normiegf wanted to
Having a gf makes you a normie too, faggot.
People who had em' back in the day were badass m8
That's what happens when businesses refuse to innovate and evolve. In a decade or so, Redbox kiosks will be gone once streaming has fully taken over
2013
Rented Tree of Life from Google Play. Don't have to pay for anything on it because I get free Google play credit for doing surveys
Rate my order history
2 weeks ago. Dr.Strange via iTunes.
>tfw you will never rent 3 VHS for the price of 2 ever again
>tfw the glory years of video rental are but a distant memory
Blockbusters still exist in places where internet is terrible or nonexistant. I doubt that streaming will take over completely anytime soon.
About 2004
2014 or so via Redbox? Don't quite remember. I created a media server after that and just downloaded/ripped a bunch of my CD/DVDs onto it.
If you only count going to a brick and mortar store, 2007 or so at hollywood video.
The Gang Beat Boggs was really good
A mini-supermarket near me unbelievably still rents DVDs
Before 2004 I think. rarely rented movies, would rent "best of" SNL dvds but the last VHS I remember renting was Scent of a Woman
October 2015. Temporarily moved to a podunk town that had a local rental place above a gas station. They had a great selection from old to new.
>tfw my friend knew the owners of the local blockbuster
>he could literally just go in and say hey guys Im taking x movie, or x game and they would be perfectly fine with it
>they would just say something like, bring it back before next week
Many fun weekends were had because of this power

Me and my friend would LAN & get snacks / Rent films. Then he got a girlfriend & job
Paying to borrow. Like a library that makes a profit
Last night, rented Hacksaw Ridge on Google video.
Can't remember. We stopped renting movies years ago. The last time I rented a movie might have actually been a tape.
>Blockbusters still exist
I heard if your really wish hard for it one will appear
Not quite. There are certain requirements.
Blockbusters only exist in Alaska and one region of Texas.
Family Video, on the other hand, is in several states and expanding every year.
>Family Video
What is keeping those alive? I remember when they built one in my hometown around 2005 and I thought they were fucking crazy.
They own their own properties. Blockbuster and Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video were all leased.

Yesterday, the videoclub next to my house is still open.
I rented La Dolce Vita to re watch it.
Rented hacksaw ridge from redbox a couple weeks ago

hit a nerve
Several years ago me and some buddies decided to go rent a movie for the nostalgia.
Had a really good time. We spent aprox an hour just hanging out, chatting with the employees, browsing and discussing what to pick (those uneducated fools vetoed android cop). We ended up with some shitty but fun movie about giant spiders.
A few months later the store closed, last one in the town.
