Dunno, cos they're muh Hammerhead ships that were from muh non-canon game before being canonized by muh Disney XD cartoon show so it made me happy I guess.

The Star Destroyer was disabled.

This, motherfuckers here are too dumb to understand a simple movie.

The big ship engine wasn't on as it was in orbit, and then it just a matter of DeltaV. the other ship was trying to turn on its power to the engines to get out of the way but it was too late.

Also, it made for a cool scene.
Also - Tugboats.

>complaining about a movie you never watched

Star Destroyer engines had been disabled by ion torpedos

Its actually the best scene in R1 and the results would be the same if this happened in RL

I love all the little details in that CGI. Like the air pressure releasing from panels.

The star destroyer was disabled.

...

Maybe it could move the disabled star ship, but how the fuck did it manage to completely destroy the other Star destroyer like it was made of matchsticks?

...

>Massive super spacecraft crewed by thousands of people
>No redundant systems

Ebin. Simbly ebin.

...

F = 1/2 m v2 / s

...

...

>People ITT unironically defend this

WEW LAD

I have not sat down and watched R1, but the two scenes that everyone talked about was the vader and the scene with the spaceship crash.

...

...

...

are star destroyers made of butter?

...

PIT WHORE!

...

Why would you not aim for the head? Coming from someone who knows fuck all about hunting.

...

More webms from Dune and Children of Dune series please?

You normally aim for the heart/lungs

Aiming for the head is usually a harder shot to make considering they are moving a lot when eating but its also a moral thing i guess. A good shot in the heart/lungs does the job

Anything in specific? I have tons of from the Dune miniseries, and a good amount from Children.

...

...

...

...

name? sauce? hngggggggg

...

Yes, sandworm webms would be fun.

Last one from Dune unless you have a specific request.

aha, well here one, let me make one for ya.

thx a lot user. These Dene webms were great. Last request, don't you have Chani boobs scene do you??

Dune 2000 did not have a big budget. The whole miniseries was made on about 2 episodes of the Expanse.

Yes I do, let me post it over on Gif

...

SOMEONE FUCKING GIVE ME HER NAME REEEEEEEEEEEEE

No problem, let me know if you want any other parts of dune.

Google says "Turner, Elizabeth"

star deystroyer doesn't have any side engines to counter, it's physics mang

>star destroyer was disabled
>hammerhead is designed for this kind of shit like a tugboat
>as far as I know the star destroyer doesn't even have thrusters that would counter the the direction the hammerhead is pushing it in

It's weird... all her photos in google have her with a disgusting bleached hair, she looks completely different like that. I fucking hate women bleaching their hair, fuck.

...

based arnie

Plus it'd been disabled with ion cannons

...

Bump

EMP

She needs to be in more stuff

...

Elizabeth Turner. super qt

>what is a tugboat?

...

...

...

...

...

Hey, I got a nice digit there with OC

I will check myself

...

...

...

>butter?
That or concrete. I can't tell. We saw two Star Destroyers hit each other in RoftheE and there was no evidence of extreme damage like this.

One set was built in a union yard...

>based arnie

I bet they fucked

...

There's such a thing as mass IRL

There's also the fact the star destroyed just sliced another identical destroyer in half, despite hitting each other at the same place

It's a plothole. They are ignoring a simple math. push energy/mass = change in velocity
A start destroyer is incredibly heavy a small ship like that would take about half an hour of constant pushing to make the star destroyer visibly move

If we consider a situation where the small ship can push it like that, it would mean the star destroyer is very light as in low mass and then two of them colliding at such low speeds would have almost no effect except some dents in the hulls

Now how is that a plothole?

It's in space ass clown. Also it's about density of matter if you want to get technical. For all we know the Hammerhead is filled with super dense material while the SD was standard ship construction.

You ever seen a tugboat btw? Space has no friction, while even an ocean has resistance.

We do not know the DeltaV (Push energy) of the smaller ship. due to the speeds shown in the movies, it would be assumed that these craft have a lot of DeltaV.

dick proenneke is pure nature kino

To be technical, even if the Hammerhead was very light, if it has powerful engines it could push a heavier craft. as long as it structure could handle the load.

Yep

Ah yes, I guess we can attach a couple of rockets to Earth and gtfo from the solar system, not like the rockets would crash into the earth of anything like that no.

All this bad physics

Lets say the hammerhead weighs 100 units of mass, and can accelerate 1,000 m/sec

Lets say the Star Destroyer weighs 2000 units of mass.

the Hammerhead could still push the larger star dystroyer 42 meters a second in acceleration.

in ten seconds it would be going 420 meters a second,

(Math might be a bit off, but I am not going to rack my mind on it.)

ok

Are you serious, does it look to you like the mass ratio is 20:1?

we'll never know since we don't know any details about mass, thrust, density

also, this is a movie where spaceships make a whooshing sound in space, and time dilation doesn't occur

They said ion torpedoes, which means it was hit by about a dozen EMP's at once.

>hitting each other at the same place
Did you even watch the webm?

>explosions in space
what did they mean by this?

There is so much wrong here!

For one thing, why is the Destroyer that's being pushed seemingly stronger than the stationary one. They should both be buckling equally but instead the one being pushed behaves like it's indestructible.

Also, any moron that's played with a newtons cradle knows that the second the destroyer made impact, the tiny ship pushing it would have received a force great enough to disintegrate it.

Furthermore, there was a time in this country when the idea of a rebel vessel smashing into two large structures, effectively killing millions would have been socially and politically unacceptable, yet here we see the "heroes" doing just that.
